|
Тѣ́мже ты̀ премꙋ́дрость проповѣ́ждь, да ра́зꙋмъ послꙋ́шаетъ тебѐ.
|
Thou shalt proclaim wisdom, that understanding may be obedient to thee.
|
|

|
|
На высо́кихъ бо крае́хъ є҆́сть, посредѣ́ же сте́зь стои́тъ:
|
For she is on lofty eminences, and stands in the midst of the ways.
|
|

|
|
при вратѣ́хъ бо си́льныхъ присѣди́тъ, во вхо́дѣхъ же пое́тсѧ.
|
For she sits by the gates of princes, and sings in the entrances, saying,
|
|

|
|
Ва́съ, ѽ, человѣ́цы, молю̀, и҆ вдаю̀ мо́й гла́съ сынѡ́мъ человѣ́чєскимъ.
|
You, O men, I exhort; and utter my voice to the sons of men.
|
|

|
|
Оу҆разꙋмѣ́йте, неѕло́бивїи, кова́рство, ненака́заннїи же, приложи́те се́рдце.
|
O ye simple, understand subtlety, and ye that are untaught, imbibe knowledge.
|
|

|
|
Послꙋ́шайте менѐ: честна̑ѧ бо рекꙋ̀ и҆ и҆знесꙋ̀ ѿ оу҆сте́нъ пра̑ваѧ.
|
Hearken to me; for I will speak solemn truths; and will produce right sayings from my lips.
|
|

|
Ꙗ҆́кѡ и҆́стинѣ поꙋчи́тсѧ горта́нь мо́й, мє́рзки же предо мно́ю оу҆стны̀ лжи̑выѧ.
|
For my throat shall meditate truth; and false lips are an abomination before me.
|
|

|
|
Съ пра́вдою всѝ глаго́лы оу҆́стъ мои́хъ, ничто́же въ ни́хъ стро́потно, нижѐ развраще́нно.
|
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing in them wrong or perverse.
|
|

|
|
Всѧ̑ пра̑ва разꙋмѣва́ющымъ, и҆ пра̑ва ѡ҆брѣта́ющымъ ра́зꙋмъ.
|
They are all evident to those that understand, and right to those that find knowledge.
|
|

|
|
Прїими́те наказа́нїе, а҆ не сребро̀, и҆ ра́зꙋмъ па́че зла́та и҆скꙋше́на: и҆збира́йте же вѣ́дѣнїе па́че зла́та чи́ста.
|
Receive instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than tried gold.
|

|
Лꙋ́чши бо премꙋ́дрость ка́менїй многоцѣ́нныхъ, всѧ́кое же честно́е недосто́йно є҆ѧ̀ є҆́сть.
|
For wisdom is better than precious stones; and no valuable substance is of equal worth with it.
|

|
А҆́зъ премꙋ́дрость всели́хъ совѣ́тъ, и҆ ра́зꙋмъ и҆ смы́слъ а҆́зъ призва́хъ.
|
I wisdom have dwelt with counsel and knowledge, and I have called upon understanding.
|

|
|
Стра́хъ гдⷭ҇ень ненави́дитъ непра́вды, досажде́нїѧ же и҆ горды́ни, и҆ пꙋти̑ лꙋка́выхъ: возненави́дѣхъ же а҆́зъ развращє́нныѧ пꙋти̑ ѕлы́хъ.
|
The fear of the Lord hates unrighteousness, and insolence, and pride, and the ways of wicked men; and I hate the perverse ways of bad men.
|

|
Мо́й совѣ́тъ и҆ оу҆твержде́нїе, мо́й ра́зꙋмъ, моѧ́ же крѣ́пость.
|
Counsel and safety are mine: prudence is mine, and strength is mine.
|
|

|
Мно́ю ца́рїе ца́рствꙋютъ, и҆ си́льнїи пи́шꙋтъ пра́вдꙋ:
|
By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
|
|

|
|
мно́ю вельмѡ́жи велича́ютсѧ, и҆ власти́тилїе мно́ю держа́тъ зе́млю.
|
By me nobles become great, and monarchs by me rule over the earth.
|
|

|
|
А҆́зъ лю́бѧщыѧ мѧ̀ люблю̀, и҆́щꙋщїи же менѐ ѡ҆брѧ́щꙋтъ блгⷣть.
|
I love those that love me; and they that seek me shall find me.
|
|

|
|
Бога́тство и҆ сла́ва моѧ̀ є҆́сть, и҆ стѧжа́нїе мно́гихъ и҆ пра́вда.
|
Wealth and glory belong to me; yea, abundant possessions and righteousness.
|
|

|
|
Лꙋ́чше є҆́сть плоди́ти менѐ, па́че зла́та и҆ ка́менїѧ дра́га: мои́ же плоды̀ лꙋ́чше сребра̀ и҆збра́нна.
|
It is better to have my fruit than to have gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver.
|

|
Въ пꙋте́хъ пра́вды хождꙋ̀ и҆ посредѣ̀ сте́зь ѡ҆правда́нїѧ живꙋ̀,
|
I walk in ways of righteousness, and am conversant with the paths of judgment;
|
|

|
|
да раздѣлю̀ лю́бѧщымъ мѧ̀ и҆мѣ́нїе, и҆ сокрѡ́вища и҆́хъ и҆спо́лню благи́хъ. А҆́ще возвѣщꙋ̀ ва́мъ быва̑ющаѧ на всѧ́къ де́нь, помѧнꙋ̀, ꙗ҆̀же ѿ вѣ́ка, и҆счестѝ.
|
that I may divide substance to them that love me, and may fill their treasures with good things. If I declare to you the things that daily happen, I will remember also to recount the things of old.
|

|
Гдⷭ҇ь созда́ мѧ [Є҆вр.: стѧжа́ мѧ.] нача́ло пꙋті́й свои́хъ въ дѣла̀ своѧ̑,
|
The Lord made me the beginning of his ways for his works.
|
|

|
|
пре́жде вѣ̑къ ѡ҆снова́ мѧ, въ нача́лѣ, пре́жде не́же зе́млю сотвори́ти,
|
He established me before time was in the beginning, before he made the earth:
|
|

|

|
|
и҆ пре́жде не́же бє́здны содѣ́лати, пре́жде не́же произы́ти и҆сто́чникѡмъ во́дъ,
|
even before he made the depths; before the fountains of water came forth:
|
|

|

|
|
пре́жде не́же гора́мъ водрꙋзи́тисѧ, пре́жде же всѣ́хъ холмѡ́въ ражда́етъ мѧ̀.
|
before the mountains were settled, and before all hills, he begets me.
|
|

|
Гдⷭ҇ь сотворѝ страны̑ и҆ ненаселє́нныѧ, и҆ концы̑ населє́нныѧ поднебе́сныѧ.
|
The Lord made countries and uninhabited tracts, and the highest inhabited parts of the world.
|
|

|
|
Є҆гда̀ гото́вѧше не́бо, съ ни́мъ бѣ́хъ, и҆ є҆гда̀ ѿлꙋча́ше прⷭ҇то́лъ сво́й на вѣ́трѣхъ,
|
When he prepared the heaven, I was present with him; and when he prepared his throne upon the winds:
|

|
и҆ є҆гда̀ крѣ̑пки творѧ́ше вы̑шнїѧ ѡ҆́блаки, и҆ є҆гда̀ твє́рды полага́ше и҆сто́чники поднебе́сныѧ,
|
and when he strengthened the clouds above; and when he secured the fountains of the earth:
|

|
и҆ є҆гда̀ полага́ше мо́рю предѣ́лъ є҆гѡ̀, да во́ды не ми́мѡ и҆́дꙋтъ оу҆́стъ є҆гѡ̀, и҆ крѣ̑пка творѧ́ше ѡ҆снова̑нїѧ землѝ, бѣ́хъ при не́мъ оу҆строѧ́ющи.

and when he strengthened the foundations of the earth:
|

|
А҆́зъ бѣ́хъ, ѡ҆ не́йже ра́довашесѧ, на всѧ́къ же де́нь веселѧ́хсѧ пред̾ лице́мъ є҆гѡ̀ на всѧ́ко вре́мѧ,
|
I was by him, suiting myself to him, I was that wherein he took delight; and daily I rejoiced in his presence continually.

|
є҆гда̀ веселѧ́шесѧ вселе́ннꙋю соверши́въ, и҆ веселѧ́шесѧ ѡ҆ сынѣ́хъ человѣ́ческихъ.
|
For he rejoiced when he had completed the world, and rejoiced among the children of men.
|
|

|
|
Нн҃ѣ оу҆̀бо, сы́не, послꙋ́шай менѐ: и҆ блаже́ни, и҆̀же пꙋти̑ моѧ̑ сохранѧ́тъ.
|
Now then, my son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall hearken to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;
|

|
Оу҆слы́шите премꙋ́дрость, и҆ оу҆мꙋдри́тесѧ, и҆ не ѿмещи́те.
|
watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my entrances.
|

|
Блаже́нъ мꙋ́жъ, и҆́же послꙋ́шаетъ менѐ, и҆ человѣ́къ, и҆́же пꙋти̑ моѧ̑ сохрани́тъ, бдѧ́й при мои́хъ две́рехъ прⷭ҇нѡ, соблюда́ѧй пра́ги мои́хъ вхо́дѡвъ:
|
For my outgoings are the outgoings of life, and in them is prepared favour from the Lord.

|
и҆схо́ди бо моѝ и҆схо́ди живота̀, и҆ оу҆готовлѧ́етсѧ хотѣ́нїе ѿ гдⷭ҇а:
|
But they that sin against me act wickedly against their own souls: and they that hate me love death.
|
|

|
|
|
согрѣша́ющїи же въ мѧ̀ нече́ствꙋютъ на своѧ̑ дꙋ́ши, и҆ ненави́дѧщїи мѧ̀ лю́бѧтъ сме́рть.
