Thus saith the Lord, I brought this people out of bondage, and I gave them my commandments by my servants the prophets; whom they would not hear, but set my counsels at nought.
|
Так говорить Господь: Я вивів народ цей з рабства, дав їм повеління через рабів Моїх, пророків, яких вони не захотіли слухати, але відкинули Мої поради.

|
The mother that bare them saith unto them, go your way, O my children; for I am a widow and forsaken.
|
Мати, яка народила їх, говорить їм: «ідіть, діти; бо я вдова і залишена.
|

|
|
I brought you up with gladness, and with sorrow and heaviness have I lost you: for ye have sinned before the Lord God, and done that which is evil before me.
|
Я виховала вас з радістю, і відпустила з плачем і гіркотою, бо ви згрішили перед Господом Богом вашим, і зробили зле перед Ним.
|

|
But what shall I now do unto you? for I am a widow and forsaken: go your way, O my children, and ask mercy of the Lord.
|
Нині ж що зроблю для вас? Я вдова і залишена: йдіть, діти, і просіть у Господа милости».

|
As for me, O father, I call upon thee for a witness over the mother of these children, because they would not keep my covenant,
|
Тебе, Отче, прикликаю за свідка на матір синів, які не захотіли зберігати завіту мого.
|

|
|
that thou bring them to confusion, and their mother to a spoil, that there may be no offspring of them.
|
Віддай їх на посоромлення і матір їхню — на розкрадання, щоб не було роду їхнього.
|
|

|
|
Let them be scattered abroad among the heathen, let their names be blotted out of the earth: for they have despised my covenant.
|
Нехай розсіються імена їхні по народах і згладяться на землі, бо вони знехтували завіт мій.
|
|

|
|
Woe unto thee, Assyria, thou that hidest the unrighteous with thee! O thou wicked nation, remember what I did unto Sodom and Gomorrah;
|
Горе тобі, Ассуре, що ховаєш у себе нечестивих! Роде лукавий! згадай, що Я зробив Содому і Гоморрі.

|
whose land lieth in clods of pitch and heaps of ashes: even so also will I do unto them that have not hearkened unto me, saith the Lord Almighty.
|
Земля їх лежить у смоляних брилах і пагорбах попелу. Так учиню Я з тими, які Мене не слухалися, — говорить Господь Вседержитель.

|
Thus saith the Lord unto Ezra, Tell my people that I will give them the kingdom of Jerusalem, which I would have given unto Israel.
|
Так говорить Господь до Ездри: звісти народу Моєму, що Я дам їм царство Єрусалимське, яке обіцяв Ізраїлю,

|
Their glory also will I take unto me, and give these the everlasting tabernacles, which I had prepared for them.
|
і прийму славу від них і дам їм оселі вічні, які приготував для них.
|
|

|
|
They shall have the tree of life for an ointment of sweet savor; they shall neither labor, nor be weary.
|
Дерево життя буде для них мастю запашною; не будуть зморювані працею і не знеможуть.
|
|

|
|
Ask, and ye shall receive: pray for few days unto you, that they may be shortened: the kingdom is already prepared for you: watch.
|
Ідіть і одержіть; просіть собі днів малих, щоб вони не забарилися. Уже готове для вас царство: пильнуйте.
|
|

|
|
Take heaven and earth to witness, take them to witness; for I have given up the evil, and created the good: for I live, saith the Lord.
|
Свідчіть, небо і земля, бо Я стер зле і створив добре. Живу Я! — говорить Господь.
|
|

|
|
Mother, embrace thy children; I will bring them out with gladness like a dove; establish their feet; for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord.
|
Мати! обійми синів твоїх, виховуй їх з радістю; як голубка, зміцнюй ноги їхні, бо Я обрав тебе, — говорить Господь.

|
And those that be dead will I raise up again from their places, and bring them out from their tombs: for I have known my name in them.
|
І воскрешу мертвих на місцях їхніх і з гробів виведу їх, бо Я пізнав ім’я Моє в Ізраїлі.

|
|
Fear not, thou mother of the children: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord.
|
Не бійся, мати синів, бо Я обрав тебе, — говорить Господь.
|
|

|
|
For thy help will I send my servants Isaiah and Jeremiah, after whose counsel I have sanctified and prepared for thee twelve trees laden with diverse fruits,
|
Я пошлю на допомогу тобі рабів Моїх Ісаю та Єремію, за порадою яких Я освятив і приготував тобі дванадцять дерев, обтяжених різними плодами,
|

|
and as many fountains flowing with milk and honey, and seven mighty mountains, whereupon there grow roses and lilies, whereby I will fill thy children with joy.
|
і стільки ж джерел, які течуть молоком і медом, і сім гір найбільших, які вирощують троянду і лілею, через які сповню радістю синів твоїх.

|
Do right to the widow, judge the fatherless, give to the poor, defend the orphan, clothe the naked,
|
Виправдай удову, дай суд бідному, допоможи убогому, захисти сироту, одягни нагого,
|
|

|
|
heal the broken and the weak, laugh not a lame man to scorn, defend the maimed, and let the blind man come unto the sight of my glory.
|
про розслабленого і немічного потурбуйся, з кульгавого не смійся, безрукого захисти, і сліпого приведи до бачення світла Мого,
|
|

|
|
Keep the old and young within thy walls.
|
старця і юнака у стінах твоїх збережи,
|
|

|

|
|
Wheresoever thou findest the dead, set a sign upon them and commit them to the grave, and I will give thee the first place in my resurrection.
|
мертвих, де знайдеш, засвідчивши, віддай гробу, і Я дам тобі перше місце у Моєму воскресінні.
|
|

|
|
Abide still, O my people, and take thy rest, for thy quietness shall come.
|
Відпочивай і упокоюйся, народе Мій, бо прийде спокій твій.
|
|

|
|
Nourish thy children, O thou good nurse, and establish their feet.
|
Годуй синів твоїх, добра годувальнице, зміцнюй ноги їхні.
|
|

|
|
As for the servants whom I have given thee, there shall not one of them perish; for I will require them from among thy number.
|
З рабів, яких Я дав тобі, ніхто нехай не загине, бо Я стягну їх від тебе.
|
|

|
|
Be not careful overmuch: for when the day of tribulation and anguish cometh, others shall weep and be sorrowful, but thou shalt be merry and have abundance.
|
Не слабшай. Коли прийде день печалі і тісноти, інші будуть плакати і журитися, а ти будеш весела і в достатку.
|

|
The nations shall envy thee, but they shall be able to do nothing against thee, saith the Lord.
|
Язичники будуть заздрити тобі, але нічого проти тебе зробити не зможуть, — говорить Господь.
|
|

|

|
|
My hands shall cover thee, so that thy children see not hell.
|
Руки Мої покриють тебе, щоб сини твої не бачили геєни.
|
|
30
|
30
|
|
Be joyful, O thou mother, with thy children; for I will deliver thee, saith the Lord.
|
Утішайся, мати, з синами твоїми, бо Я спасу тебе.
|
|

|

|
|
Remember thy children that sleep, for I shall bring them out of the secret places of the earth, and show mercy unto them: for I am merciful, saith the Lord Almighty.
|
Пам’ятай про синів твоїх, що спочивають. Я виведу їх з країв землі й учиню їм милість, бо Я милостивий, — говорить Господь Вседержитель.

|
Embrace thy children until I come, and proclaim mercy unto them: for my wells run over, and my grace shall not fail.
|
Обійми дітей твоїх, доки Я прийду і зроблю їм милість; бо джерела Мої повні і благодать Моя не зменшиться.

|
|
I Ezra received a charge from the Lord upon the mount Horeb, that I should go unto Israel; but when I came unto them, they would none of me, and rejected the commandment of the Lord.
|
Я, Ездра, одержав на горі Орив повеління від Господа йти до Ізраїля. Коли я прийшов до них, вони відкинули мене і знехтували заповідь Господню.

|
And therefore I say unto you, O ye nations, that hear and understand, look for your shepherd, he shall give you everlasting rest; for he is nigh at hand, that shall come in the end of the world.
|
Тому вам говорю, язичники, що можете чути і розуміти: чекайте на Пастиря вашого, Він дасть вам мир вічний, бо близько Той, Який прийде на скінчення віку.

|
Be ready to the rewards of the kingdom, for the everlasting light shall shine upon you forevermore.
|
Будьте готові до воздаяння царства, бо світло невечірнє засяє вам на вічні часи.
|
|

|
|
Flee the shadow of this world, receive the joyfulness of your glory: I call to witness my savior openly.
|
Уникайте тіні віку цього; прийміть солодкість слави вашої. Я відкрито свідчу про Спасителя мого.
|

|
|
O receive that which is given you of the Lord, and be joyful, giving thanks unto him that hath called you to heavenly kingdoms.
|
Ввірений дар прийміть, і насолоджуйтеся, дякуючи Тому, Хто прикликав вас у небесне царство.
|
|

|
|
Arise up and stand, and behold the number of those that are sealed in the feast of the Lord;
|
Встаньте і стійте, і дивіться, яка кількість знаменованих на вечері Господній,
|
|

|
|
they that withdrew them from the shadow of the world have received glorious garments of the Lord.
|
які, переселившись від тіні віку цього, одержали від Господа світлий одяг.
|
|

|

|
|
Look upon thy number, O Zion, and make up the reckoning of those of thine that are clothed in white, who have fulfilled the law of the Lord.
|
Прийми число твоє, Сионе, і прийми твоїх, одягнених у біле вбрання, які виконали закон Господній.
|
|

|
41
|
|
The number of thy children, whom thou longest for, is fulfilled: beseech the power of the Lord, that thy people, who have been called from the beginning, may be hallowed.
|
Число бажаних синів твоїх повне. Проси державу Господа, щоб освятився народ твій, покликаний від початку.
|
|

|
|
I Ezra saw upon the mount Zion a great multitude, whom I could not number, and they all praised the Lord with songs.
|
Я, Ездра, бачив на горі Сионській сонм великий, якого не міг перелічити, і всі вони піснями прославляли Господа.

|
|
And in the midst of them there was a young man of a high stature, taller than all the rest, and upon every one of their heads he set crowns, and was more exalted; whereat I marveled greatly.
|
Посеред них був юнак величний, що перевершував усіх їх, і покладав вінці на голову кожного з них і тим ще більше підносився; я вражений був здивуванням.

So I asked the angel, and said, What are these, my Lord?
|
Тоді я запитав ангела: хто ці, господарю мій?
|

|
|
He answered and said unto me, These are they that have put off the mortal clothing, and put on the immortal, and have confessed the name of God: now are they crowned, and receive palms.
|
Він у відповідь мені сказав: це ті, які склали смертний одяг і одяглися у безсмертний і сповідали ім’я Боже; вони тепер увінчуються і приймають переможні пальми.

|
Then said I unto the angel, What young man is he that setteth crowns upon them, and giveth them palms in their hands?
|
Я запитав: а хто цей юнак, який покладає на них вінці і вручає їм пальми?
|

|
|
So he answered and said unto me, It is the Son of God, whom they have confessed in the world. Then began I greatly to commend them that stood so valiantly for the name of the Lord.
|
Він відповів мені: Сам Син Божий, Якого вони прославляли у віці цьому. І я почав славити їх, які мужньо стояли за ім’я Господнє.

|
Then the angel said unto me, Go thy way, and tell my people what manner of things, and how great wonders of the Lord God thou hast seen.
|
Тоді ангел сказав мені: йди і звісти народу моєму, які бачив ти дивні діла Господа Бога.
