| And the Lord said to Moses, Hew for thyself two tables of stone, as also the first were, and come up to me to the mountain; and I will write upon the tables the words, which were on the first tables, which thou brokest. | І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: витеши собі дві скрижалі кам’яні, подібні до попередніх, [і зійди до Мене на гору,] і Я напишу на цих скрижалях слова, які були на попередніх скрижалях, які ти розбив; |

| And be ready by the morning, and thou shalt go up to the mount Sina, and shalt stand there for me on the top of the mountain. | і будь готовим до ранку, і зійди вранці на гору Синай, і постань переді Мною там на вершині гори; |

| And let no one go up with thee, nor be seen in all the mountain; and let not the sheep and oxen feed near that mountain. | але ніхто не повинен підніматися з тобою, і ніхто не повинен показуватися на всій горі; навіть худоба, дрібна і велика, не повинна пастися біля гори цієї. |

| And Moses hewed two tables of stone, as also the first were; and Moses having arisen early, went up to the mount Sina, as the Lord appointed him; and Moses took the two tables of stone. | І витесав Мойсей дві скрижалі кам’яні, подібні до попередніх, і, вставши рано-вранці, зійшов на гору Синай, як повелів йому Господь; і взяв у руки свої дві скрижалі кам’яні. |

| And the Lord descended in a cloud, and stood near him there, and called by the name of the Lord. | І зійшов Господь у хмарі, і зупинився там поблизу нього, і проголосив ім’я Ієгови. |

| And the Lord passed by before his face, and proclaimed, The Lord God, pitiful and merciful, longsuffering and very compassionate, and true, | І пройшов Господь перед лицем його і проголосив: Господь, Господь, Бог чоловіколюбний і милосердий, довготерпеливий і многомилостивий і істинний, |

| and keeping justice and mercy for thousands, taking away iniquity, and unrighteousness, and sins; and he will not clear the guilty; bringing the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and to the children's children, to the third and fourth generation. | що зберігає [правду і подає] милість у тисячі родів, Який прощає провину і злочин і гріх, але не залишає без покарання, Який карає провину батьків у дітях і в дітях дітей до третього і четвертого роду. |

| And Moses hasted, and bowed to the earth and worshipped; | Мойсей одразу ж упав на землю і поклонився [Богу] |

| and said, If I have found grace before thee, let my Lord go with us; for the people is stiff-necked: and thou shalt take away our sins and our iniquities, and we will be thine. | і сказав: якщо я придбав благовоління в очах Твоїх, Владико, то хай піде Владика посеред нас; бо народ цей жорстокосердий; прости беззаконня наші і гріхи наші і вчини нас насліддям Твоїм. |

| And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, I establish a covenant for thee in the presence of all thy people; I will do glorious things, which have not been done in all the earth, or in any nation; and all the people among whom thou art shall see the works of the Lord, that they are wonderful, which I will do for thee. | І сказав [Господь Мойсеєві]: ось, Я укладаю завіт: перед усім народом твоїм сотворю чудеса, яких не було по всій землі і ні в яких народів; і побачить весь народ, серед якого ти перебуваєш, діло Господа; бо страшним буде те, що Я зроблю для тебе; |

| Do thou take heed to all things whatsoever I command thee: behold, I cast out before your face the Amorite and the Chananite and the Pherezite, and the Chettite, and Evite, and Gergesite and Jebusite: | збережи те, що повеліваю тобі нині: ось, Я виганяю від лиця твого аморреїв, хананеїв, хеттеїв, ферезеїв, евеїв, [гергесеїв] та ієвусеїв; |

| take heed to thyself, lest at any time thou make a covenant with the dwellers on the land, into which thou art entering, lest it be to thee a stumbling-block among you. | дивися, не вступай у союз з жителями тієї землі, у яку ти ввійдеш, щоб вони не зробилися сіттю серед вас. |

|
| Ye shall destroy their altars, and break in pieces their pillars, and ye shall cut down their groves, and the graven images of their gods ye shall burn with fire. | Жертовники їхні зруйнуйте, стовпи їхні розтрощіть, вирубайте священні гаї їхні, [і статуї богів їхніх спаліть вогнем], |

| For ye shall not worship strange gods, for the Lord God, a jealous name, is a jealous God; | тому що ти не повинен поклонятися богові іншому, крім Господа [Бога], тому що ім’я Його — ревнитель; Він Бог ревнитель. |

| lest at any time thou make a covenant with the dwellers on the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and they call thee, and thou shouldest eat of their feasts, | Не вступай у союз із жителями тієї землі, щоб, коли вони будуть блудодіяти услід богам своїм і приносити жертви богам своїм, не запросили і тебе, і ти не спожив би жертви їхньої; |

| and thou shouldest take of their daughters to thy sons, and thou shouldest give of thy daughters to their sons; and thy daughters should go a whoring after their gods, and thy sons should go a whoring after their gods. | і не бери з дочок їхніх дружин синам своїм [і дочок своїх не давай заміж за синів їхніх], щоб дочки їхні, блудодіючи вслід богам своїм, не ввели і синів твоїх у блуд вслід богам своїм. |

| And thou shalt not make to thyself molten gods. | Не роби собі богів відлитих. |
|

|
| And thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I have charged thee, at the season in the month of new corn; for in the month of new corn thou camest out from Egypt. | Свята опрісноків дотримуй: сім днів їж прісний хліб, як Я повелів тобі, у призначений час місяця Авива, тому що в місяці Авиві вийшов ти з Єгипту. |

| The males are mine, everything that opens the womb; every first-born of oxen, and every first-born of sheep. | Усе, що розкриває утробу, Мені, як і вся худоба твоя чоловічої статі, що розкриває утробу, з волів і овець; |

| And the first-born of an ass thou shalt redeem with a sheep, and if thou wilt not redeem it thou shalt pay a price: every first-born of thy sons shalt thou redeem: thou shalt not appear before me empty. | первородне з ослів замінюй агнцем, а якщо не заміниш, то викупи його; усіх первістків із синів твоїх викуповуй; нехай не з’являються перед лице Моє з порожніми руками. |

| Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: there shall be rest in seed-time and harvest. | Шість днів працюй, а в сьомий день спочивай; спочивай і під час сівби і жнив. |

| And thou shalt keep to me the feast of weeks, the beginning of wheat-harvest; and the feast of ingathering in the middle of the year. | І свято седмиць роби, свято початків жнив пшениці і свято збирання плодів наприкінці року; |

| Three times in the year shall every male of thine appear before the Lord the God of Israel. | тричі на рік повинна з’являтись уся чоловіча стать твоя перед лице Владики, Господа Бога Ізраїлевого, |

| For when I shall have cast out the nations before thy face, and shall have enlarged thy coasts, no one shall desire thy land, whenever thou mayest go up to appear before the Lord thy God, three times in the year. | бо Я прожену народи від лиця твого і поширю межі твої, і ніхто не зажадає землі твоєї, якщо ти будеш з’являтися перед лице Господа Бога твого тричі на рік. |

| Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifices with leaven, neither shall the sacrifices of the feast of the passover remain till the morning. | Не виливай крови жертви Моєї на квасне, і жертва свята Пасхи не повинна переночувати до ранку. |

| The first-fruits of thy land shalt thou put into the house of the Lord thy God: thou shalt not boil a lamb in his mother's milk. | Найперші плоди землі твоєї принеси в дім Господа Бога твого. Не вари козеня в молоці матері його. |

| And the Lord said to Moses, Write these words for thyself, for on these words I have established a covenant with thee and with Israel. | І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: напиши собі слова ці, тому що в цих словах Я укладаю завіт з тобою і з Ізраїлем. |

| And Moses was there before the Lord forty days, and forty nights; he did not eat bread, and he did not drink water; and he wrote upon the tables these words of the covenant, the ten sayings. | І пробув там [Мойсей] у Господа сорок днів і сорок ночей, хліба не їв і води не пив; і написав [Мойсей] на скрижалях слова завіту, десятислів’я. |

| And when Moses went down from the mountain, there were the two tables in the hands of Moses,—as then he went down from the mountain, Moses knew not that the appearance of the skin of his face was glorified, when God spoke to him. | Коли сходив Мойсей з гори Синаю, і дві скрижалі одкровення були в руці у Мойсея при сході його з гори, то Мойсей не знав, що лице його стало сяяти промінням від того, що Бог говорив з ним. |

| And Aaron and all the elders of Israel saw Moses, and the appearance of the skin of his face was made glorious, and they feared to approach him. | І побачив Мойсея Аарон і всі сини Ізраїлеві, і ось, лице його сяє, і боялися підійти до нього. |

| And Moses called them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the synagogue turned towards him, and Moses spoke to them. | І покликав їх Мойсей, і прийшли до нього Аарон і всі начальники громади, і розмовляв Мойсей з ними. |

| And afterwards all the children of Israel came to him, and he commanded them all things, whatsoever the Lord had commanded him in the mount of Sina. | Після цього наблизилися [до нього] всі сини Ізраїлеві, і він заповідав їм усе, що говорив йому Господь на горі Синаї. |

| And when he ceased speaking to them, he put a veil on his face. | І коли Мойсей перестав розмовляти з ними, то поклав на лице своє покривало. |
|

|
| And whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak to him, he took off the veil till he went out, and he went forth and spoke to all the children of Israel whatsoever the Lord commanded him. | Коли ж входив Мойсей перед лице Господа, щоб говорити з Ним, тоді знімав покривало, доки не виходив; а вийшовши, переказував синам Ізраїлевим усе, що заповідано було [йому від Господа]. |

| And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that it was glorified; and Moses put the veil over his face, till he went in to speak with him. | І бачили сини Ізраїлеві, що сяє лице Мойсеєве, і Мойсей знову накладав покривало на лице своє, доки не входив говорити з Ним. |
