Chapter 11	Глава 11

1	1
Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.	Будьте моїми послідовниками, як і я Христа.

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and hold fast the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.	Хвалю вас, браття, що все моє пам’ятаєте і дотримуєте передання так, як я передав вам.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.	Хочу також, щоб ви дізналися, що всякому чоловікові голова Христос; голова жінці — чоловік, а голова Христу — Бог.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoreth his head.	Кожний чоловік, який молиться або пророкує з покритою головою, осоромлює свою голову.

But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonoreth her own head; for it is one and the same thing as if she were shaven.	І кожна жінка, яка молиться або пророкує з непокритою головою, осоромлює свою голову, бо це те саме, якби вона була острижена.

For if a woman is not veiled, let her also be shorn: but if it is a shame to a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled.	Бо коли жінка не покривається, то нехай і стрижеться; а коли жінці сором бути остриженій чи поголеній, нехай покривається.

For a man indeed ought not to have his head veiled, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but a woman is the glory of a man.	Отже, чоловік не повинен покривати голову, бо він є образ і слава Божа; а жінка є слава чоловіка.

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man:	Бо не чоловік від жінки, а жінка від чоловіка;

for neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man:	і не чоловік був створений для жінки, а жінка для чоловіка.
10	10
for this cause ought the woman to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels.	Тому жінка і повинна мати на голові своїй знак влади над нею, заради ангелів.
11	11
Nevertheless, neither is the man without the woman, nor the woman without the man, in the Lord.	А втім, ні чоловік без жінки, ні жінка без чоловіка, в Господі.

For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God.	Бо як жінка від чоловіка, так і чоловік через жінку; все ж — від Бога.
13	13
Judge ye in yourselves: is it seemly that a woman pray unto God unveiled?	Розсудіть самі: чи личить жінці молитися Богові з непокритою головою?
14	14
Or doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a dishonor to him?	Чи не сама природа вчить вас, що коли чоловік запускає волосся, то це для нього безчестя,

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given for a covering.	але коли жінка запускає волосся, це для неї честь, бо волосся дано їй замість покривала.

But if any man seemeth to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.	Коли б хтось захотів сперечатися, то ми не маємо такого звичаю, ані церкви Божі.

But in giving you this charge, I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better but for the worse.	Але‚ пропонуючи це, я не хвалю вас, що збираєтесь ви не на краще, а на гірше.

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and I partly believe it.	Бо, по-перше, чую, що‚ коли ви сходитеся до церкви, між вами бувають розділення, чому почасти і вірю.

For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you.	Бо повинна бути між вами і розбіжність думок, щоб виявилися серед вас досвідчені.

When therefore ye assemble yourselves together, it is not possible to eat the Lord’s supper:	Далі, ви збираєтесь разом не так, як для споживання вечері Господньої;

for in your eating each one taketh before other his own supper; and one is hungry, and another is drunken.	бо кожний спішить раніше від інших з’їсти свою їжу, тож один лишається голодний, а інший упивається.
22	22
What, have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.	Хіба у вас нема домів для того, щоб їсти й пити? Чи зневажаєте Церкву Божу і принижуєте бідних? Що сказати вам? Чи похвалити вас за це? Hе похвалю.

For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread;	Бо я від Господа прийняв те, що і вам передав, що Господь Ісус у ту ніч, коли був зраджений, узяв хліб

and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take; eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.	і, віддавши хвалу, переломив і сказав: прийміть, споживайте, це Тіло Моє, яке за вас ламається; це творіть на спомин про Мене.

In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.	Також і чашу після вечері взяв, промовивши: ця чаша є новий завіт у Моїй Крові, це творіть, коли тільки будете пити, на спомин про Мене.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye proclaim the Lord’s death till he come.	Бо кожного разу, коли ви споживаєте хліб цей і п’єте чашу цю, смерть Господню сповіщаєте, доки Він прийде.
27	27
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.	Тому-то, хто їстиме хліб цей або питиме чашу Господню недостойно, винний буде супроти Тіла і Крови Господньої.

But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.	Hехай же випробовує себе людина, і так нехай їсть від хліба цього і п’є від чаші цієї.

For he that eateth and drinketh in an unworthy manner, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, since he discerneth not the body of the Lord.	Бо хто їсть і п’є недостойно, той їсть і п’є на осудження собі, не думаючи про Тіло Господнє.
30	30
For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.	Через це багато з вас немічних і недужих і чимало вмирає.
31	31
For if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged.	Бо коли б ми судили самі себе, то не були б судимі.
32	32
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.	Будучи ж судимі, караємось від Господа, щоб не бути засудженими зі світом.
33	33
Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, wait one for another.	Тому, браття мої, коли сходитеся на вечерю, чекайте один одного.

And if any man is hungry, let him eat at home; that your coming together be not unto judgment. And the rest will I set in order whensoever I come.	А коли хто голодний, то нехай їсть вдома, щоб ви збиралися не на осудження. Інше ж влаштую, коли прийду.
