|
Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
|
Як сміє хто з вас, маючи справу з іншим, судитися у неправедних, а не у святих?
|

|
Know ye not that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
|
Хіба не знаєте, що святі судитимуть світ? Якщо ж світ буде судимий вами, то невже недостойні ви судити незначні справи?
|

|
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more, things that pertain to this life?
|
Хіба не знаєте, що ми будемо судити ангелів, чи не тим більше справи житейські?
|

|
If then ye have to judge things pertaining to this life, you set them to judge who are of no account in the church!
|
А ви, коли судитесь у житейських справах, ставите своїми суддями таких, які в церкві нічого не значать.
|

|
I say this to move you to shame. What, cannot there be found among you a wise man, not even one, who shall be able to decide between his brethren,
|
Hа сором вам кажу: невже немає серед вас жодного розумного, який міг би розсудити справи між братами своїми?
|

|
|
but brother goeth to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?
|
Але брат із братом судиться, та ще й перед невірними.
|

|
Already indeed then, it is altogether a defect in you, that ye have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather take wrong? why not rather be defrauded?
|
І те вже зовсім сором для вас, що ви судитеся між собою. Чи не краще б вам залишатися скривдженими? Чи не краще б вам терпіти нестатки?

|
Nay, but ye yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and these things ye do to your brethren.
|
Але ви самі кривдите і віднімаєте, та ще й у братів.
|

|
Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men,
|
Hевже не знаєте, що неправедники Царства Божого не успадкують? Hе обманюйте себе: ні блудники, ні ідолослужителі, ні перелюбники, ні малакії, ні мужоложці,
|

nor covetous, nor thieves, nor drunkards; not revilers, not extortioners—they shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
|
ні злодії, ні лихварі, ні п’яниці, ні лихословці, ні хижаки — Царства Божого не успадкують.
|

|
And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
|
І такими були деякі з вас; але обмилися, але освятилися, але виправдалися іменем Господа нашого Ісуса Христа і Духом Бога нашого.

|
All things are lawful for me; but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the power of any.
|
Усе мені дозволено, та не все корисне; все мені дозволено‚ та ніщо не повинне володіти мною.
|

|
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall bring to nought both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body:
|
Їжа для черева, і черево для їжi; але Бог знищить і те і друге. Тіло ж не для блуду, а для Господа, і Господь для тіла.

|
and God both raised the Lord, and will raise up us through his power.
|
Бог воскресив Господа, воскресить і нас силою Своєю.
|

|
|
Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? shall I then take away the members of Christ, and make them members of a harlot? God forbid.
|
Хіба не знаєте‚ що тіла ваші є члени Христові? Отож, узявши члени Христові, чи зроблю їх членами блудниці? Зовсім ні!

|
Know ye not that he that is joined to a harlot is one body? for, The twain, saith he, shall become one flesh.
|
Хіба не знаєте, що той, хто з’єднується з блудницею, стає одним тілом з нею? Бо сказано: «Обидва будуть одна плоть».

|
|
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
|
А хто з’єднується з Господом, той є один дух з Господом.
|
|

|
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
|
Уникайте блудодіяння: всякий гріх, що його чинить людина, є поза тілом, а блудник проти власного тіла грішить.
|

|
Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;
|
Хіба не знаєте, що тіла ваші є храм Святого Духа, Який живе у вас і Якого ви маєте від Бога, і ви не свої?
|

|
|
for ye were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
|
Бо ви куплені дорогою ціною. Отже, прославляйте Бога в тілах ваших і в душах ваших, які є Божі.
