Павло, в’язень Ісуса Христа, і Тимофій брат Филимонові улюбленому і співробітникові нашому,

Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow worker,
|

|
і Апфії‚ сестрі улюбленій, та Архипові, сподвижникові нашому, і домашній твоїй церкві:
|
and to Apphia the beloved, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in thy house:
|
|

|
|
благодать вам і мир від Бога Отця нашого і Господа Ісуса Христа.
|
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
|

|
Дякую Богові моєму, завжди згадуючи про тебе в молитвах моїх,
|
I thank my God always, making mention of thee in my prayers,
|
|

|
|
коли чую про твою любов і віру, яку маєш до Господа Ісуса і до всіх святих,
|
hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;
|
|

|

|
|
щоб спільність віри твоєї стала діяльною у пізнанні всякого у вас добра у Христі Ісусі.
|
that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us, unto Christ Jesus.
|
|

|
|
Бо ми маємо велику радість і втішення в твоїй любовi; тому що тобою, брате, заспокоєні серця святих.
|
For we have much thankfulness and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.
|
|

|
|
Тому, маючи велике у Христі дерзновення наказувати тобі, що треба,
|
Wherefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to enjoin thee that which is befitting,
|
|

|

|
|
любови заради краще прошу, не хто інший, як я, Павло старець, а тепер і в’язень Ісуса Христа;
|
yet for love’s sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Jesus Christ:
|
|

|
|
прошу тебе за сина мого Онисима, котрого я зродив у кайданах моїх.
|
I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus,
|
|

|

|
|
Він був колись непотрібний для тебе, а тепер потрібний тобі і менi; я повертаю його тобі,
|
who once was unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable to thee and to me: whom I have sent again:
|
|

|

|
|
а ти прийми його, як моє серце.
|
and do thou receive him, that is, my very heart:
|
|

|
|
Я хотів при собі затримати його, щоб він замість тебе послужив мені в кайданах за благовістя;
|
whom I would fain have kept with me, that in thy behalf he might minister unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
|
|

|

|
|
але без твоєї волі нічого робити не хотів, щоб добре діло твоє було не вимушене, а добровільне.
|
but without thy mind I would do nothing; that thy goodness should not be as of necessity, but of free will.
|
|

|
|
Бо, можливо, він для того тимчасово відлучився, щоб ти прийняв його назавжди,
|
For perhaps he was therefore parted from thee for a season, that thou shouldest have him forever;
|
|
16
|

|
|
вже не як раба, але вище за раба, брата улюбленого, особливо мені, а тим більше тобі, і за плоттю, і в Господі.
|
no longer as a servant, but more than a servant, a brother beloved, especially to me, but how much rather to thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
|
|

|
|
Отже, якщо ти маєш єднання зі мною, то прийми його, як мене.
|
If then thou countest me a partner, receive him as myself.
|
|

|
|
Коли ж він чимось образив тебе або винен, зарахуй це мені.
|
But if he hath wronged thee at all, or oweth thee aught, put that to mine account;
|
|
19
|
19
|
|
Я, Павло, написав моєю рукою: я віддам; не кажу тобі про те, що ти і самого себе мені винен.
|
I Paul write it with mine own hand, I will repay it: that I say not unto thee that thou owest to me even thine own self besides.
|
|

|

|
|
Так, брате, дай мені скористатися тобою у Господi; заспокой моє серце у Господі.
|
Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my heart in the Lord.
|
|

|
|
Надіючись на твою слухняність, я написав тобі, знаючи, що ти зробиш і більше, ніж кажу.
|
Having confidence in thine obedience I write unto thee, knowing that thou wilt do even beyond what I say.
|
|

|
|
Одночасно приготуй для мене і приміщення, бо сподіваюся, що вашими молитвами я буду дарований вам.
|
But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted unto you.
|

|
Вітають тебе Епафрас, співв’язень мій у Христі Ісусі,
|
There salute thee Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus;
|
|

|

|
|
Марк, Аристарх, Димас, Лука — співробітники мої.
|
Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow workers.
|
|

|

|
|
Благодать Господа нашого Ісуса Христа з духом вашим. Амінь.
|
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
