| (Зач. 70) І по днех шести́х поя́т Ісу́с Петра́, і Іа́кова, і Іоа́нна, бра́та єго́, і возведе́ їх на гору́ високу́ єди́ни, | And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart: |

| і преобрази́ся пред ни́ми; і просвіти́ся лице́ Єго́, я́ко со́лнце, ри́зи же Єго́ би́ша біли́, я́ко світ. | and he was transfigured before them; and his face did shine as the sun, and his garments became white as the light. |

| І се, яви́стася їм Моїсе́й і Ілія́, с Ним глаго́люща. | And behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him. |
|

|
| Отвіща́в же Петр рече́ (ко) Ісу́сові: Го́споди, добро́ єсть нам зді би́ти; а́ще хо́щеши, сотвори́м зді три сі́ни, Тебі́ єди́ну, і Моїсе́йові єди́ну, і єди́ну Ілії́. | And Peter answered, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. |

| Єще́ (же) єму́ глаго́лющу, се, о́блак сві́тел осіни́ їх; і се, глас із о́блака глаго́ля: Сей єсть Син Мой возлю́бленний, о Не́мже благоволи́х. Того́ послу́шайте. | While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. |

| І сли́шавше ученици́ падо́ша ни́ці і убоя́шася зіло́. | And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. |
|

|
| І присту́пль Ісу́с прикосну́ся їх і рече́: воста́ніте і не бо́йтеся. | And Jesus came and touched them and said, Arise, and be not afraid. |
|

|
| Возве́дше же о́чі свої́, ні кого́же ви́діша, то́кмо Ісу́са єди́наго. | And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, save Jesus only. |
|

|
| І сходя́щим їм с гори́, запові́да їм Ісу́с, глаго́ля: ні кому́же пові́діте виді́нія, до́ндеже Син Челові́чеський із ме́ртвих воскре́снеть. | And as they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen from the dead. |

| (Зач. 71) І вопроси́ша Єго́ ученици́ Єго́, глаго́люще: что у́бо кни́жници глаго́лють, я́ко Ілії́ подоба́єть прийти́ пре́жде? | And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elijah must first come? |

| Ісу́с же отвіща́в рече́ їм: Ілія́ у́бо при́йдеть пре́жде і устро́їть вся; | And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elijah indeed cometh first, and shall restore all things: |

|
| глаго́лю же вам, я́ко Ілія́ уже́ при́йде, і не позна́ша єго́, но сотвори́ша о нем, єли́ка восхоті́ша; та́ко і Син Челові́чеський і́мать пострада́ти от них. | but I say unto you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but did unto him whatsoever they would. Even so shall the Son of man also suffer of them. |

| Тогда́ разумі́ша ученици́, я́ко о Іоа́нні Крести́телі рече́ їм. | Then understood the disciples that he spake unto them of John the Baptist. |
|

| (Зач. 72) І прише́дшим їм к наро́ду, приступи́ к Нему́ челові́к, кла́няяся Єму́ | And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a man, kneeling to him, |

|
| і глаго́ля: Го́споди, поми́луй си́на моєго́, я́ко на но́ви мі́сяці бісну́ється і злі стра́ждеть; мно́жицею бо па́даєть во огнь і мно́жицею в во́ду; | and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is epileptic, and suffereth grievously; for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and ofttimes into the water. |

| і приведо́х єго́ ко ученико́м Твої́м, і не возмого́ша єго́ ісціли́ти. | And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. |
|

|
| Отвіща́в же Ісу́с рече́: о, ро́де неві́рний і развраще́нний, доко́лі бу́ду с ва́ми? Доко́лі терплю́ вам? Приведі́те мі єго́ сі́мо. | And Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him hither to me. |

| І запрети́ єму́ Ісу́с, і ізи́де із него́ біс; і ісцілі́ о́трок от часа́ того́. | And Jesus rebuked him; and the demon went out of him: and the boy was cured from that hour. |
|

|
| Тогда́ присту́пльше ученици́ ко Ісу́су на єди́ні, рі́ша: почто́ ми не возмого́хом ізгна́ти єго́? | Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast it out? |
|

|
| Ісу́с же рече́ їм: за неві́рствіє ва́ше; амі́нь бо глаго́лю вам: а́ще і́мате ві́ру я́ко зе́рно гору́шно, рече́те горі́ сей: прейди́ отсю́ду та́мо, і пре́йдеть; і нічто́же невозмо́жно бу́деть вам; | And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. |

| сей же род не ісхо́дить, то́кмо моли́твою і посто́м. | But this kind goeth not out save by prayer and fasting. |

| Живу́щим же їм в Галиле́ї, рече́ їм Ісу́с: пре́дан і́мать би́ти Син Челові́чеський в ру́ці челові́ком, | And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be delivered up into the hands of men; |
|

|
| і убію́т Єго́, і в тре́тій день воста́неть. І ско́рбні би́ша зіло́. | and they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised up. And they were exceeding sorry. |
|

| (Зач. 73) Прише́дшим же їм в Капернау́м, приступи́ша приє́млющії дідра́хми к Петро́ві і рі́ша: Учи́тель ваш не дасть ли дідра́хми? | And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received the half-shekel came to Peter, and said, Doth not your teacher pay the half-shekel? |

| Глаго́ля: єй. І єгда́ вни́де в дом, предвари́ єго́ Ісу́с, глаго́ля: что ті мни́ться, Си́моне? Ца́ріє зе́мстії от ки́їх приє́млють да́ні іли́ кинсо́н? От свої́х ли сино́в, іли́ от чужи́х? | He saith, Yea. And when he came into the house, Jesus spake first to him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? the kings of the earth, from whom do they receive toll or tribute? from their sons, or from strangers? |

| Глаго́ла єму́ Петр: от чужи́х. Рече́ єму́ Ісу́с: у́бо свобо́дни суть си́нове; | Peter saith unto him, From strangers. Jesus said unto him, Therefore the sons are free. |

| но да не соблазни́м їх, шед на мо́ре, ве́рзи у́дицю, і, ю́же пре́жде і́меши ри́бу, возьми́; і отве́рз уста́ єй, обря́щеши стати́р*; той взем даждь їм за М'я і за ся. | But, lest we cause them to stumble, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a shekel: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. |
