| (Зач. 7) Тогда́ Ісу́с возведе́н бисть Ду́хом в пусти́ню іскуси́тися от дия́вола, | Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. |

| і пости́вся дній чети́редесять і но́щій чети́редесять, посліди́ взалка́. | And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he afterward hungered. |
|

|
| І присту́пль к Нему́ іскуси́тель рече́: а́ще Син єси́ Бо́жий, рци, да ка́меніє сіє́ хлі́би бу́дуть. | And the tempter came to him and said, If thou art the Son of God, command that these stones become bread. |
|

|
| Он же отвіща́в рече́: пи́сано єсть: не о хлі́бі єди́нім жив бу́деть челові́к, но о вся́цім глаго́лі ісходя́щем ізо уст Бо́жиїх. | But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. |

| Тогда́ поя́т Єго́ дия́вол во святи́й град, і поста́ви Єго́ на крилі́ церко́внім, | Then the devil taketh him into the holy city, and setteth him on the pinnacle of the temple, |

| і глаго́ла Єму́: а́ще Син єси́ Бо́жий, ве́рзися ни́зу, пи́сано бо єсть: я́ко а́нгелом Свої́м запові́сть о Тебі́ (сохрани́ти Тя), і на рука́х во́зьмуть Тя, да не когда́ преткне́ши о ка́мень но́гу Твою́. | and saith unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and, On their hands they shall bear thee up, Lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone. |

| Рече́ (же) єму́ Ісу́с: па́ки пи́сано єсть: не іску́сиши Го́спода Бо́га твоєго́. | Jesus said unto him, Again it is written, Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God. |

| Па́ки поя́т Єго́ дия́вол на гору́ високу́ зіло́, і показа́ Єму́ вся ца́рствія ми́ра і сла́ву їх, | Again, the devil taketh him unto an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; |

| і глаго́ла Єму́: сія́ вся Тебі́ дам, а́ще пад поклони́шиміся. | and he saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. |

| Тогда́ глаго́ла єму́ Ісу́с: іди́ за Мно́ю, сатано́, пи́сано бо єсть: Го́споду Бо́гу твоєму́ поклони́шися і Тому́ єди́ному послу́жиши. | Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. |

| Тогда́ оста́ви Єго́ дия́вол, і се, а́нгели приступи́ша і служа́ху Єму́. | Then the devil leaveth him; and behold, angels came and ministered unto him. |

| (Зач. 8) Сли́шав же Ісу́с, я́ко Іоа́нн пре́дан бисть, оти́де в Галиле́ю, | Now when Jesus heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee; |

| і оста́вль Назаре́т, прише́д всели́ся в Капернау́м в помо́ріє, в преді́ліх Завуло́них і Неффали́млих, | and leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali: |

| да сбу́деться рече́нноє Іса́єм проро́ком, глаго́лющим: | that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, |

|
| земля́ Завуло́ня і земля́ Неффали́мля, путь мо́ря об он пол Іорда́на, Галиле́я язи́к, | The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, Toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles, |
|

|
| лю́діє сідя́щії во тьмі ви́діша світ ве́лій, і сідя́щим в страні́ і сі́ні сме́ртній, світ возсія́ їм. | The people that sat in darkness Saw a great light, And to them that sat in the region and shadow of death, To them did light spring up. |
|

|
| Отто́лі нача́т Ісу́с пропові́дати і глаго́лати: пока́йтеся, прибли́жися бо Ца́рство Небе́сноє. | From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. |

| (Зач. 9) Ходя́ же при мо́рі Галиле́йстім, ви́ді два бра́та: Си́мона, глаго́лемаго Петра́, і Андре́я, бра́та єго́, вмета́юща мре́жі в мо́ре, бі́ста бо ри́баря; | And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers. |

| і глаго́ла ї́ма: гряді́та по Мні, і сотворю́ ви ловця́ челові́ком. | And he saith unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men. |
|

| О́на же а́біє, оста́вльша мре́жі, по Нем ідо́ста. | And they straightaway left the nets, and followed him. |
|

|
| І преше́д отту́ду, ви́ді і́на два бра́та, Іа́кова Зеведе́єва і Іоа́нна, бра́та єго́, в кораблі́ с Зеведе́йом, отце́м єю́, зав'язу́юща мре́жі своя́, і воззва́ я. | And going on from thence he saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. |

| О́на же а́біє, оста́вльша кора́бль і отця́ своєго́, по Нем ідо́ста. | And they straightaway left the boat and their father, and followed him. |

| І прохожда́ше всю Галиле́ю Ісу́с, учя́ на со́нмищах їх і пропові́дая Єва́нгеліє Ца́рствія, ісціля́я всяк неду́г і вся́ку я́зю в лю́дех. | And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people. |

| І ізи́де слух Єго́ по всей Сирі́ї; і приведо́ша к Нему́ вся боля́щия, разли́чними неду́ги і страстьми́ одержи́ми, і бі́сни, і мі́сячния, і разсла́бленния (жи́лами) — і ісціли́ їх. | And the report of him went forth into all Syria: and they brought unto him all that were sick, holden with diverse diseases and torments, and possessed with demons, and epileptic, and palsied; and he healed them. |

| (Зач. 10) І по Нем ідо́ша наро́ди мно́зі от Галиле́ї і десяти́ град, і от Ієрусали́ма і Іуде́ї, і со о́наго по́лу Іорда́на. | And there followed him great multitudes from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan. |
