| (Зач. 93) Тогда́ Ісу́с глаго́ла к наро́дом і ученико́м Свої́м, | Then spake Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples, |

| глаго́ля: на Моїсе́йові сіда́лищі сідо́ша кни́жници і фарисе́є; | saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat: |
|

|
3
|
| вся у́бо, єли́ка а́ще реку́ть вам блюсти́, соблюда́йте і творі́те; по діло́м же їх не творі́те; глаго́лють бо і не творя́ть; | all things therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, these observe and do: but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not. |
|

| св'язу́ють бо бремена́ тя́жка і бі́дні носи́ма, і возлага́ють на плеща́ челові́чеська, пе́рстом же свої́м не хотя́ть дви́гнути їх. | For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they will not move them with their finger. |

| Вся же діла́ своя́ творя́ть, да ви́дими бу́дуть челові́ки; разширя́ють же храни́лища своя́ і велича́ють воскри́лія риз свої́х; | But all their works they do to be seen of men: and they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, |
|

|
лю́б'ять же преждевозлега́нія на ве́черях, і преждесіда́нія на со́нмищих, |
and love the chief place at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, |
|

|
| і цілова́нія на то́ржищих, і зва́тися от челові́к: учи́телю, учи́телю! | and the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. |
|

|
| Ви же не нарица́йтеся учи́тєліє; єди́н бо єсть ваш Учи́тель — Христо́с; всі же ви бра́тія єсте́; | But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your master, even Christ, and all ye are brethren. |
|

|
| і отця́ не зові́те себі́ на землі́; єди́н бо єсть Оте́ць ваш, І́же на небесі́х; | And call no man your father on the earth: for one is your Father, even he who is in heaven. |
|

|
| ніже́ нарица́йтеся наста́вници; єди́н бо єсть Наста́вник ваш — Христо́с. | Neither be ye called masters: for one is your master, even the Christ. |
|

|
| Бо́лій же в вас да бу́деть вам слуга́; | But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. |
|

|

|
| і́же бо вознесе́ться, смири́ться; і смиря́яйся вознесе́ться. | And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted. |
|

|
| (Зач. 94) Го́ре вам, кни́жници і фарисе́є, лицемі́ри, я́ко затворя́єте Ца́рствіє Небе́сноє пред челові́ки; ви бо не вхо́дите, ні входя́щих оставля́єте вни́ти. | But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, even while for a pretense ye make long prayers: therefore ye shall receive greater condemnation. |

| Го́ре вам, кни́жници і фарисе́є, лицемі́ри, я́ко сніда́єте до́ми вдови́ць, і вино́ю дале́че моли́тви творя́ще [і лицемі́рно на до́лзі моли́тви творите́]; сего́ ра́ди ли́шшеє при́ймете осужде́ніє. | Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye enter not in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering in to enter. |

| Го́ре вам, кни́жници і фарисе́є, лицемі́ри, я́ко прехо́дите мо́ре і су́шу, сотвори́ти єди́наго прише́льця; і єгда́ бу́деть, творите́ єго́ си́на геє́нни сугу́бійша вас. | Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is become so, ye make him twofold more a son of hell than yourselves. |

| Го́ре вам, вожді́ сліпі́ї, глаго́лющії: і́же а́ще клене́ться це́рковію, нічесо́же єсть; а і́же клене́ться зла́том церко́вним, до́лжен єсть. | Woe unto you, ye blind guides, that say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor. |

| Бу́ї і сліпі́ї, что бо бо́ліє єсть, зла́то ли, іли́ це́рков, святя́щая зла́то? | Ye fools and blind: for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? |
|

|
| І: і́же а́ще клене́ться олтаре́м, нічесо́же єсть; а і́же клене́ться да́ром, і́же верху́ єго́, до́лжен єсть. | And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it, he is a debtor. |

| Бу́ї і сліпі́ї, что бо бо́ліє, дар ли, іли́ олта́р, святя́й дар? | Ye fools and blind: for which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? |
|

|
| І́же у́бо клене́ться олтаре́м, клене́ться ім і су́щим верху́ єго́; | He therefore that sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. |
|

|
| і і́же клене́ться це́рковію, клене́ться є́ю і Живу́щим в ней; | And he that sweareth by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that hath dwelt therein. |
|

|
| і клени́йся небесе́м клене́ться престо́лом Бо́жиїм і Сідя́щим на нем. | And he that sweareth by the heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. |
|

| (Зач. 95) Го́ре вам, кни́жници і фарисе́є, лицемі́ри, я́ко одеся́тствуєте м'я́тву, і копр, і ки́мин, і оста́висте вя́щшая зако́на, суд, і ми́лость, і ві́ру; сія́ (же) подоба́ше твори́ти і о́ніх не оставля́ти. | Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye tithe mint and anise and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: these ye ought to have done, and not to leave the other undone. |

| Вожді́ сліпі́ї, оціжда́ющії комари́, вельблу́ди же пожира́юще. | Ye blind guides, that strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel! |

| Го́ре вам, кни́жници і фарисе́є, лицемі́ри, я́ко очища́єте вні́шнеє сткля́ниці і блю́да, внутру́ду же суть по́лні хище́нія і непра́вди; | Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and unrighteousness. |

| фарисе́є сліпи́й, очи́сти пре́жде вну́треннеє сткля́ниці і блю́да, да бу́деть і вні́шнеє ї́ма чи́сто. | Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the platter, that the outside of them may become clean also. |

| Го́ре вам, кни́жници і фарисе́є, лицемі́ри, я́ко подо́битеся гробо́м пова́пленим, і́же вніу́ду у́бо явля́ються красни́, внутру́ду же по́лні суть косте́й ме́ртвих і вся́кия нечистоти́; | Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. |

| та́ко і ви, вніу́ду у́бо явля́єтеся челові́ком пра́ведні, внутру́ду же єсте́ по́лні лицемі́рія і беззако́нія. | Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but inwardly ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. |

| (Зач. 96) Го́ре вам, кни́жници і фарисе́є, лицемі́ри, я́ко зи́ждете гро́би проро́чеськия, і кра́сите ра́ки пра́ведних, | Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye build the sepulchers of the prophets, and garnish the tombs of the righteous, |

| і глаго́лете: а́ще би́хом би́ли во дні оте́ць на́ших, не би́хом у́бо о́бщници їм би́ли в кро́ві проро́к; | and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we should not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. |

| Ті́мже са́мі свиді́тельствуєте себі́, я́ко си́нове єсте́ ізби́вших проро́ки; | Wherefore ye witness to yourselves, that ye are sons of them that slew the prophets. |
|

|
| і ви іспо́лните мі́ру оте́ць ва́ших. | Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. |
|

|
| Змія́, порожде́нія єхи́днова, ка́ко убіжите́ от суда́ (огня́) геє́нськаго? | Ye serpents, ye offspring of vipers, how shall ye escape the judgment of hell? |
|

| Сего́ ра́ди, се, аз послю́ к вам проро́ки, і прему́дри, і кни́жники; і от них убіє́те і ра́спнете, і от них біє́те на со́нмищих ва́ших, і ізжене́те от гра́да во град; | Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them shall ye kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city: |

| я́ко да при́йдеть на ви вся́ка кров пра́ведна, пролива́ємая на землі́, от кро́ве А́веля пра́веднаго до кро́ве Заха́рії, си́на Варахі́їна, єго́же уби́сте между́ це́рковію і олтаре́м. | that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous unto the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom ye slew between the sanctuary and the altar. |

| Амі́нь глаго́лю вам: (я́ко) при́йдуть вся сія́ на род сей. | Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. |

| Ієрусали́ме, Ієрусали́ме, ізби́вий проро́ки і ка́менієм побива́яй по́сланния к Тебі́, колькра́ти восхоті́х собра́ти ча́да твоя́, я́коже собира́єть ко́кош птенці́ своя́ под крилі́, і не восхоті́сте? | O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chicks under her wings, and ye would not! |

| Се, оставля́ється вам дом ваш пуст. | Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. |
|

|
| Глаго́лю бо вам: (я́ко) не і́мате Мене́ ви́діти отсе́лі, до́ндеже рече́те; Благослове́н Гряди́й во і́м'я Госпо́днє. | For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. |
