|
Не радій, Ізраїлю, до захоплення, як інші народи, бо ти блудодієш, віддалившись від Бога твого: любиш блудодійні дари на всіх токах.
|
Rejoice not, O Israel, neither make merry, as other nations: for thou hast gone a-whoring from thy God; thou hast loved gifts upon every threshing-floor.
|

|
Тік і точило не будуть годувати їх, і надія на виноградний сік обмане їх.
|
The threshing-floor and wine-press knew them not, and the wine disappointed them.
|

|
|
Не будуть вони жити на землі Господній: Єфрем повернеться в Єгипет, і в Ассирії будуть їсти нечисте.
|
They dwelt not in the Lord's land: Ephraim dwelt in Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things among the Assyrians.
|

|
|
Не будуть узливати Господу вина, і неугодні Йому будуть жертви їхні; вони будуть для них, як хліб похоронний: усі, хто буде їсти його, оскверняться, бо хліб їх — для душі їх, а у дім Господній він не увійде.
|
They have not offered wine to the Lord, neither have their sacrifices been sweet to him, but as the bread of mourning to them; all that eat them shall be defiled; for their bread for their soul shall not enter into the house of the Lord.

|
Що будете робити у день торжества й у день свята Господнього?
|
What will ye do in the day of the general assembly, and in the day of the feast of the Lord?

|
Бо ось, вони підуть з причини спустошення; Єгипет збере їх, Мемфис поховає їх; дорогоцінностями їх зі срібла заволодіє кропива, колюче терня буде у наметах їхніх.
|
Therefore, behold, they go forth from the trouble of Egypt, and Memphis shall receive them, and Machmas shall bury them: as for their silver, destruction shall inherit it; thorns shall be in their tents.

|
Прийшли дні відвідин, прийшли дні воздаяння; нехай дізнається Ізраїль, що нерозумний віщун, безумний той, хто видає себе за натхненного, з причини безлічі беззаконь твоїх і великої ворожости.
|
The days of vengeance are come, the days of thy recompense are come; and Israel shall be afflicted as the prophet that is mad, as a man deranged: by reason of the multitude of thine iniquities thy madness has abounded.

|
Єфрем — страж біля Бога мого; пророк — сітка птахолова на всіх шляхах його; спокуса у домі Бога його.
|
The watchman of Ephraim was with God: the prophet is a crooked snare in all his ways: they have established madness in the house of God.
|

|
Глибоко впали вони, розбестилися, як у дні Гиви; Він згадає нечестя їх, покарає їх за гріхи їхні.
|
They have corrupted themselves according to the days of the hill: he will remember their iniquities, he will take vengeance on their sins.
|

|
Як виноград у пустелі, Я знайшов Ізраїля; як першу ягоду на смоковниці, у перший час її, побачив Я батьків ваших, — але вони пішли до Ваал-Фегора і віддалися соромітному, і самі стали мерзенними, як ті, яких полюбили.
|
I found Israel as grapes in the wilderness, and I saw their fathers as an early watchman in a fig-tree: they went in to Beel-phegor, and were shamefully estranged, and the abominable became as the beloved.

|
У єфремлян, як птах, відлетить слава [чадородіння]: ні народження, ні вагітности, ні зачаття [не буде].
|
Ephraim has flown away as a bird; their glories from the birth, and the travail, and the conception.
|

|
А хоч би вони і виховали дітей своїх, відніму їх; бо горе їм, коли відійду від них!
|
For even if they should rear their children, yet shall they be utterly bereaved: wherefore also there is woe to them, though my flesh is of them.
|
|

|
Єфрем, як Я бачив його до Тира, насаджений на прекрасній місцевості; однак Єфрем виведе дітей своїх до вбивці.
|
Ephraim, even as I saw, gave their children for a prey; yea, Ephraim was ready to bring out his children to slaughter.
|
|

|
|
Дай їм, Господи: що Ти даси їм? дай їм утробу, яка не народжує, і сухі соски.
|
Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give them? a miscarrying womb, and dry breasts.
|
|

|
|
Усе зло їх у Галгалі: там Я зненавидів їх за злі справи їхні; вижену їх із дому Мого, не буду більше любити їх; усі князі їхні — відступники.
|
All their wickedness is in Galgal: for there I hated them: because of the wickedness of their practices, I will cast them out of my house, I will not love them any more: all their princes are disobedient.

|
Уражений Єфрем; висох корінь їх, — не будуть приносити вони плоду, а якщо і будуть народжувати, Я умертвлю жаданий плід утроби їх.
|
Ephraim is sick, he is dried up at his roots, he shall in no wise any more bear fruit: wherefore even if they should beget children, I will kill the desired fruit of their womb.

|
Відкине їх Бог мій, тому що вони не послухалися Його, і будуть блукати між народами.
|
God shall reject them, because they have not hearkened to him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
