| Уся громада синів Ізраїлевих зібралася в Силом, і поставили там скинію зібрання, бо земля була підкорена ними. | And all the congregation of the children of Israel were assembled at Selo, and there they pitched the tabernacle of witness; and the land was subdued by them. |

| Із синів же Ізраїлевих залишалося сім колін, які ще не одержали наділу свого. | And the sons of Israel remained, even those who had not received their inheritance, seven tribes. |
|

| І сказав Ісус синам Ізраїлевим: чи довго ви будете байдужими до того, щоб піти і взяти в спадщину землю, яку дав вам Господь Бог батьків ваших? | And Joshua said to the sons of Israel, How long will ye be slack to inherit the land, which the Lord our God has given you? |

| дайте від себе по три людини з коліна; я пошлю їх, і вони, вставши, пройдуть по землі й опишуть її, як потрібно розділити їм на наділи, і прийдуть до мене; | Appoint of yourselves three men of each tribe, and let them rise up and go through the land, and let them describe it before me, as it will be proper to divide it. |

| нехай розділять її на сім наділів; Іуда нехай залишається в межах своїх на півдні, а дім Йосифів нехай залишається в межах своїх на півночі; | And they came to him: and he divided to them seven portions, saying, Juda shall stand to them a border southward, and the sons of Joseph shall stand to them northward. |

| а ви розпишіть землю на сім наділів і представте мені сюди: я кину вам жереб тут перед лицем Господа Бога нашого; | And do ye divide the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, and I will give you a lot before the Lord our God. |

| а левитам немає частини між вами, тому що священство Господнє є наділом їх; Гад же, Рувим і половина коліна Манассіїного одержали наділ свій за Йорданом на сході, який дав їм Мойсей, раб Господній. | For the sons of Levi have no part among you; for the priesthood of the Lord is his portion; and Gad, and Ruben, and the half tribe of Manasse, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave to them. |

| Ці люди встали і пішли. Ісус же тим, що пішли описувати землю, дав такий наказ: підіть, обійдіть землю, опишіть її і поверніться до мене; а я тут кину вам жереб перед лицем Господнім, у Силомі. | And the men rose up and went; and Joshua charged the men who went to explore the land, saying, Go and explore the land, and come to me, and I will bring you forth a lot here before the Lord in Selo. |

| Вони пішли, пройшли по землі, [оглянули її] і описали її, за містами її, на сім наділів, у книзі, і прийшли до Ісуса в стан, у Силом. | And they went, and explored the land: and they viewed it, and described it according to the cities, seven parts in a book, and brought the book to Joshua. |

| Ісус кинув їм жереб у Силомі перед Господом, і розділив там Ісус землю синам Ізраїлевим за ділянками їх. | And Joshua cast the lot for them in Selo before the Lord. |
|

| [Перший] жереб вийшов коліну синів Веніамінових, за племенами їх. Межа їх за жеребом ішла між синами Іуди і між синами Йосифа; | And the lot of the tribe of Benjamin came forth first according to their families: and the borders of their lot came forth between the children of Juda and the children of Joseph. |

| межа їх на північному боці починається біля Йордану, і проходить межа ця біля Єрихона з півночі, і піднімається на гору на захід, і закінчується в пустелі Бефавен; | And their borders were northward: the borders shall go up from Jordan behind Jericho northward, and shall go up to the mountain westward, and the issue of it shall be Bæthon of Mabdara. |

| звідти межа йде до Луза, до південного боку Луза, інакше Вефиля, і сходить межа до Атароф-Адара, до гори, що на південному боці Беф-Орона нижнього; | And the borders will go forth thence to Luz, behind Luz, from the south of it; this is Bæthel: and the borders shall go down to Maatarob Orech, to the hill country, which is southward of Bæthoron the lower. |

| потім межа повертає і сходить до морського боку на південь від гори, що на півдні перед Беф-Ороном, і закінчується біля Кириаф-Ваала, інакше Кириаф-Іарима, міста синів Іудиних. Це західна сторона. | And the borders shall pass through and proceed to the part that looks toward the sea, on the south, from the mountain in front of Bæthoron southward, and its termination shall be at Cariath-Baal, this is Cariath-Jarin, a city of the children of Juda; this is the part toward the west. |

| Південною ж стороною від Кириаф-Іарима йде межа до моря і доходить до джерела вод Нефтоаха; | And the south side on the part of Cariath-Baal; and the borders shall go across to Gasin, to the fountain of the water of Naphtho. |

| потім межа сходить до кінця гори, що перед долиною сина Енномового, в долині рефаїмів, на півночі, і сходить долиною Еннома до південного боку Ієвуса, і йде до Ен-Рогела; | And the borders shall extend down on one side, this is in front of the forest of Sonnam, which is on the side of Emec Raphain northward, and it shall come down to Gæenna behind Jebusai southward: it shall come down to the fountain of Rogel. |

| потім повертає від півночі і йде до Ен-Шемеша, і йде до Гелилофа, що навпроти узвишшя Адуммима, і сходить до каменя Богана, сина Рувимового; | And the borders shall go across to the fountain of Bæthsamys: |

| потім проходить біля рівнини на північ і сходить на рівнину; | and shall proceed to Galiloth, which is in front by the going up of Æthamin; and they shall come down to the stone of Bæon of the sons of Ruben; and shall pass over behind Bætharaba northward, and shall go down to the borders behind the sea northward. |

| звідси проходить межа поряд Беф-Хогли на північ, і закінчується межа біля північної затоки моря Солоного, біля південного кінця Йордану. Ось межа південна. Зі східного ж боку межею служить Йордан. | And the termination of the borders shall be at the creek of the salt sea northward to the side of Jordan southward: these are their southern borders. |

| Ось наділ синів Веніамінових, з межами його з усіх боків, за племенами їх. | And Jordan shall be their boundary on the east: this is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, these are their borders round about according to their families. |

| Міста коліну синів Веніамінових, за племенами їх, належали ці: Єрихон, Беф-Хогла й Емек-Кециц, | And the cities of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Bethegæo, and Amecasis, |

| Беф-Арава, Цемараїм і Вефиль, | and Bæthabara, and Sara, and Besana, |

| Аввим, Фара й Офра, | and Æein, and Phara, and Ephratha, |

|
| Кефар-Аммонай, Афні і Гева: дванадцять міст з їх селами. | and Carapha, and Cephira, and Moni, and Gabaa, twelve cities and their villages: |

|
| Гаваон, Рама і Бероф, | Gabaon, and Rama, and Beerotha; |

|
| Мицфе, Кефира і Моца, | and Massema, and Miron, and Amoke; |

|
| Рекем, Ірфеїл і Фарала, | and Phira, and Caphan, and Nacan, and Selecan, and Thareela, |
|

|
28
|
| Цела, Елеф та Ієвус, інакше Єрусалим, Гивеаф і Кириаф: чотирнадцять міст із їх селами. Ось наділ синів Веніамінових, за племенами їх. | and Jebus (this is Jerusalem); and Gabaoth, Jarim, thirteen cities, and their villages; this is the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin according to their families. |
