Саллу, Амок, Хелкія, Ієдаія. Це глави священиків і брати їхні у дні Ісуса.	These were the chiefs of the priests, and their brethren in the days of Jesus.

А левити: Ісус, Биннуй, Кадмиїл, Шеревія, Іуда, Матфанія, головний при славослів’ї, він і брати його,	And the Levites were, Jesus, Banui, Cadmiel, Sarabia, Jodae, Matthania: he was over the bands,

і Бакбукія й Унній, брати їхні, які нарівні з ними тримали сторожу.	and his brethren were appointed to the daily courses.

Ісус породив Іоакима, Іоаким породив Елиашива, Елиашив породив Іоіаду,	And Jesus begot Joakim, and Joakim begot Eliasib, and Eliasib begot Jodae,

Іоіада породив Іонафана, Іонафан породив Іаддуя.	and Jodae begot Jonathan, and Jonathan begot Jadu.

У дні Іоакима були священики, гла́ви поколінь: із дому Сераії Мераія, із дому Єремії Хананія,	And in the days of Joakim, his brethren the priests and the heads of families were, belonging to Saraia, Amaria; to Jeremia, Anania;

із дому Ездри Мешуллам, із дому Амарії Іоханан,	to Esdra, Mesulam; to Amaria, Joanan;

із дому Мелиха Іонафан, із дому Шеванії Йосиф,	to Amaluch, Jonathan; to Sechenia, Joseph;

Левити, гла́ви поколінь, внесені в запис у дні Елиашива, Іоіади, Іоханана й Іаддуя, і також священики в царювання Дарія Перського.	The Levites in the days of Eliasib, Joada, and Joa, and Joanan, and Idua, were recorded heads of families: also the priests, in the reign of Darius the Persian.

Сини Левія, гла́ви поколінь, вписані в літопис до днів Іоханана, сина Елиашивового.	And the sons of Levi, heads of families, were written in the book of the chronicles, even to the days of Joanan son of Elisue.

Гла́ви левитів: Хашавія, Шеревія, та Ісус, син Кадмиїла, і брати їхні, при них поставлені для славослів’я при подяках, за встановленням Давида, чоловіка Божого — зміна за зміною.	And the heads of the Levites were Asabia, and Sarabia, and Jesu: and the sons of Cadmiel, and their brethren over against them, were to sing hymns of praise, according to the commandment of David the man of God, course by course.

Матфанія, Бакбукія, Овадія, Мешуллам, Талмон, Аккув — вартові, воротарі на сторожі біля порогів воріт.	When I gathered the porters,

Вони були у дні Іоакима, сина Ісусового, сина Іоседекового, й у дні областеначальника Неємії і книжника Ездри, священика.	it was in the days of Joakim son of Jesus, son of Josedec, and in the days of Neemia: and Esdras the priest was scribe.

При освяченні стіни Єрусалимської запросили левитів з усіх місць їхніх, наказуючи їм прийти в Єрусалим для звершення освячення і радісного свята зі славослів’ями і піснями при звуках кимвалів, псалтирів і гуслів.	And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites in their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep a feast of dedication and gladness with thanksgiving, and they sounded cymbals with songs, and had psalteries and harps.

І зібралися сини співців з округи єрусалимської і з сіл Нетофафських,	And the sons of the singers were assembled both from the neighbourhood round about to Jerusalem, and from the villages,

і з Беф-Гаггилгала, і з полів Геви й Азмавета, тому що співці побудували собі села в околицях Єрусалима.	and from the country: for the singers built themselves villages by Jerusalem.

І очистилися священики і левити, й очистили народ і ворота, і стіну.	And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and they purified the people, and the porters, and the wall.
31	31
Тоді я повів начальників Юдеї на стіну і поставив два великих хори для шестя, і один з них ішов праворуч стіни до Гнойових воріт.	And they brought up the princes of Juda on the wall, and they appointed two great companies for thanksgiving, and they passed on the right hand on the wall of the dung-gate.

За ними йшов Гошаія і половина начальників Юдеї,	And after them went Osaia, and half the princes of Juda,

Азарія, Ездра і Мешуллам,	and Azarias, and Esdras, and Mesollam,

Іуда і Веніамін, і Шемаія і Єремія,	and Juda, and Benjamin, and Samaias and Jeremia.

а із синів священичих із трубами: Захарія, син Іонафана, син Шемаії, син Матфанії, син Михея, син Закхура, син Асафа,	And some of the sons of the priest with trumpets, Zacharias son of Jonathan, son of Samaias, son of Matthania, son of Michaia, son of Zacchur, son of Asaph:

і брати його: Шемаія, Азариїл, Милалай, Гилалай, Маай, Нафанаїл, Іуда і Хананій з музичними інструментами Давида, чоловіка Божого, і книжник Ездра попереду них.	and his brethren, Samaia, and Oziel, Gelol, Jama, Aia, Nathanael, and Juda, Anani, to praise with the hymns of David the man of God; and Esdras the scribe was before them,

Біля воріт Джерела, навпроти них, вони зійшли по сходах міста Давидового, по сходах, які ведуть на стіну поверх дому Давидового до Водяних воріт на схід.	at the gate, to praise before them, and they went up by the steps of the city of David, in the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the water-gate

Другий хор ішов навпроти них, і за ним я і половина народу, по стіні від Пічної вежі і до широкої стіни,

і від воріт Єфремових, мимо старих воріт і воріт Рибних, і вежі Хананела, і вежі Меа, до Овечих воріт, і зупинилися біля воріт В’язничних.	of Ephraim, and to the fish-gate, and by the tower of Anameel, and as far as the sheep-gate.

Потім обидва хори стали біля дому Божого, і я і половина начальників зі мною,
41
і священики: Елиаким, Маасея, Миніамін, Михей, Елиоенай, Захарія, Хананія з трубами,

і Маасея і Шемаія, і Єлеазар і Уззій, і Іоханан і Малхія, і Елам і Езер. І співали співці голосно; головним у них був Ізрахія.	And the singers were heard, and were numbered.
43	43
І приносили в той день великі жертви і веселилися, тому що Бог дав їм велику радість. Веселилися і дружини і діти, і радість Єрусалима було чути далеко.	And in that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced; for God had made them very joyful: and their wives and their children rejoiced: and the joy in Jerusalem was heard from afar off.

У той же день були приставлені люди до коморних кімнат для приношень початків і десятин, щоб збирати з полів при містах частки, покладені законом для священиків і левитів, тому що юдеям радісно було дивитися на священиків і левитів,	And in that day they appointed men over the treasuries, for the treasures, the first-fruits, and the tithes, and for the chiefs of the cities who were assembled among them, to furnish portions for the priests and Levites: for there was joy in Juda over the priests and over the Levites that waited.

які стояли і звершували службу Богу своєму і діла очищення і були співцями і воротарями за встановленням Давида і сина його Соломона.	And they kept the charges of their God, and the charges of the purification, and ordered the singers and the porters, according to the commandments of David and his son Solomon.

Бо здавна у дні Давида й Асафа були встановлені глави співців і пісні Богу, хвалебні і подячні.	For in the days of David Asaph was originally first of the singers, and they sang hymns and praise to God.
47	47
Усі ізраїльтяни у дні Зоровавеля й у дні Неємії давали частки співцям і воротарям на кожен день і віддавали святині левитам, а левити віддавали святині синам Аарона.	And all Israel in the days of Zorobabel, and in the days of Neemias, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, a daily rate: and consecrated them to the Levites: and the Levites consecrated them to the sons of Aaron.
