| Після закінчення двадцяти років, у які Соломон будував дім Господній і свій дім, | And it came to pass after twenty years, in which Solomon built the house of the Lord, and his own house, |

| Соломон відбудував і міста, які дав Соломону Хирам, і оселив у них синів Ізраїлевих. | that Solomon rebuilt the cities which Chiram had given to Solomon, and caused the children of Israel to dwell in them. |

| І пішов Соломон на Емаф-Сува і взяв його. | And Solomon came to Bæsoba, and fortified it. |
|

|
| І побудував він Фадмор у пустелі, і всі міста для запасів, які заснував у Емафі. | And he built Thoedmor in the wilderness, and all the strong cities which he built in Emath. |
|

|
| Він оббудував Вефорон верхній і Вефорон нижній, міста укріплені, зі стінами, воротами і запорами, | And he built Bæthoron the upper, and Bæthoron the lower, strong cities,—they had walls, gates, and bars; |
|

|
| і Ваалаф і всі міста для запасів, які були у Соломона, і всі міста для колісниць, і міста для кінноти, і все, що хотів Соломон побудувати в Єрусалимі і на Ливані й у всій землі володіння свого. | and Balaath, and all the strong cities which Solomon had, and all his chariot cities, and cities of horsemen, and all things that Solomon desired according to his desire of building, in Jerusalem, and in Libanus, and in all his kingdom. |

| Весь народ, який залишився від хеттеїв, і аморреїв, і ферезеїв, і евеїв і ієвусеїв, які були не із синів Ізраїлевих, — | As for all the people that was left of the Chettites, and the Amorites, and the Pherezites, and the Evites, and the Jebusites, who are not of Israel, |

| дітей їхніх, що залишилися після них на землі, яких не знищили сини Ізраїлеві, — зробив Соломон оброчними до цього дня. | but were of the children of them whom the children of Israel destroyed not, that were left after them in the land, even them did Solomon make tributaries to this day. |

| Синів же Ізраїлевих не робив Соломон робітниками у справах своїх, але вони були воїнами, і начальниками охоронців його, і вождями колісниць його і вершників його. | But Solomon did not make any of the children of Israel servants in his kingdom; for, behold, they were warriors and rulers, and mighty men, and captains of chariots and horsemen. |

| І було головних приставників у царя Соломона, які керували народом, двісті п’ятдесят. | And these are the chiefs of the officers of king Solomon, two hundred and fifty overseeing the work among the people. |

| А дочку фараонову перевів Соломон з міста Давидового в дім, який побудував для неї, тому що, говорив він, не повинна жити жінка у мене в домі Давида, царя Ізраїлевого, бо святий він, тому що ввійшов у нього ковчег Господній. | And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharao from the city of David to the house which he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the city of David, the king of Israel, for the place is holy into which the ark of the Lord has entered. |

| Тоді став приносити Соломон всепалення Господу на жертовнику Господньому, який він спорудив перед притвором, | Then Solomon offered up to the Lord whole-burnt-offerings on the altar which he had built to the Lord before the temple, |

| щоб за уставом кожного дня приносити всепалення, за заповіддю Мойсея, у суботи, і в новомісяччя, й у свята тричі на рік: у свято опрісноків, і у свято седмиць, у свято кущів. | according to the daily rate, to offer up sacrifices according to the commandments of Moses, on the sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts, three times in the year, at the feast of unleavened bread, and at the feast of weeks, and at the feast of tabernacles. |

| І встановив він, за розпорядженням Давида, батька свого, черги священиків за службою їх і левитів за сторо́жами їх, щоб вони славословили і служили при священиках за уставом кожного дня, і воротарів за чергами їхніми, до кожних воріт, тому що такий був заповіт Давида, чоловіка Божого. | And he established, according to the order of his father David, the courses of the priests, and that according to their public ministrations: and the Levites were appointed over their charges, to praise and minister before the priests according to the daily order: and the porters were appointed according to their courses to the different gates: for thus were the commandments of David the man of God. |

| І не відступали від повелінь царя про священиків і левитів ні в чому, ні стосовно скарбів. | They transgressed not the commandments of the king concerning the priests and the Levites with regard to everything else, and with regard to the treasures. |

| Так влаштована була вся справа Соломонова від дня заснування дому Господнього до остаточного закінчення його — дому Господнього. | Now all the work had been prepared from the day when the foundation was laid, until Solomon finished the house of the Lord. |
|

| Тоді пішов Соломон в Еціон-Гавер і в Елаф, що на березі моря, у землі Ідумейській. | Then Solomon went to Gasion Gaber, and to Ælath near the sea in the land of Idumea. |

| І надіслав йому Хирам через слуг своїх кораблі і рабів, які знають море, і вирушили вони зі слугами Соломоновими в Офир, і здобули звідти чотириста п’ятдесят талантів золота, і привезли цареві Соломону. | And Chiram sent by the hand of his servants ships, and servants skilled in naval affairs; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Sophira, and brought thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and they came to king Solomon. |
