| У той час сказав мені Господь: витеши собі дві скрижалі кам’яні, подібні до перших, і піднімись до Мене на гору, і зроби собі дерев’яний ковчег; | At that time the Lord said to me, Hew for thyself two stone tables as the first, and come up to me into the mountain, and thou shalt make for thyself an ark of wood. |

| і Я напишу на скрижалях ті слова, які були на попередніх скрижалях, які ти розбив; і поклади їх у ковчег. | And thou shalt write upon the tables the words which were on the first tables which thou didst break, and thou shalt put them into the ark. |

| І зробив я ковчег з дерева ситим, і витесав дві кам’яні скрижалі, як попередні, і пішов на гору; і дві ці скрижалі були в руках моїх. | So I made an ark of boards of incorruptible wood, and I hewed tables of stone like the first, and I went up to the mountain, and the two tables were in my hand. |

| І написав Він на скрижалях, як написано було раніше, ті десять слів, які оголосив вам Господь на горі із середовища вогню в день зібрання, і віддав їх Господь мені. | And he wrote upon the tables according to the first writing the ten commandments, which the Lord spoke to you in the mountain out of the midst of the fire, and the Lord gave them to me. |

| І повернувся я, і зійшов з гори, і поклав скрижалі в ковчег, який я зробив, щоб вони були там, як повелів мені Господь. | And I turned and came down from the mountain, and I put the tables into the ark which I had made; and there they were, as the Lord commanded me. |

| І сини Ізраїлеві рушили з Беероф-Бене-Яакана в Мозер; там помер Аарон і похований там, і став священиком замість нього син його Єлеазар. | And the children of Israel departed from Beeroth of the sons of Jakim to Misadai: there Aaron died, and there he was buried, and Eleazar his son was priest in his stead. |

| Звідти рушили в Гудгод, з Гудгода в Іотвафу, у землю, де потоки вод. | Thence they departed to Gadgad; and from Gadgad to Etebatha, a land wherein are torrents of water. |

| У той час відокремив Господь коліно Левіїне, щоб носити ковчег завіту Господнього, стояти перед Господом, служити Йому [і молитися] і благословляти ім’ям Його, як це триває до цього дня; | At that time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand near before the Lord, to minister and bless in his name to this day. |

| тому у левита немає частини і наділу з братами його: Сам Господь є наділом його, як говорив йому Господь, Бог твій. | Therefore the Levites have no part nor inheritance among their brethren; the Lord himself is their inheritance, as he said to them. |

| І пробув я на горі, як і в попередні рази, сорок днів і сорок ночей; і послухав мене Господь і цього разу, [і] не побажав Господь погубити тебе; | And I remained in the mount forty days and forty nights: and the Lord heard me at that time also, and the Lord would not destroy you. |

| і сказав мені Господь: встань, піди в путь перед народом [цим]; нехай вони підуть і оволодіють землею, яку Я клявся батькам їхнім дати їм. | And the Lord said to me, Go, set out before this people, and let them go in and inherit the land, which I sware to their fathers to give to them. |

| Отже, Ізраїлю, чого вимагає від тебе Господь, Бог твій? Того тільки, щоб ти боявся Господа, Бога твого, ходив усіма путями Його, і любив Його, і служив Господу, Богу твоєму, від усього серця твого і від усієї душі твоєї, | And now, Israel, what does the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, and to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul; |

| щоб дотримував заповідей Господа [Бога твого] і постанов Його, які сьогодні заповідаю тобі, щоб тобі було добре. | to keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and his ordinances, all that I charge thee to-day, that it may be well with thee? |

| Ось у Господа Бога Твого, небо і небеса небес, земля й усе, що на ній; | Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to the Lord thy God, the earth and all things that are in it. |
|

|
| але тільки батьків твоїх прийняв Господь і полюбив їх, і обрав вас, сі?м’я їх після них, з усіх народів, як нині бачиш. | Only the Lord chose your fathers to love them, and he chose out their seed after them, even you, beyond all nations, as at this day. |
|

|
| Отже, обріжте крайню плоть серця вашого і не будьте надалі жорстокосердими, | Therefore ye shall circumcise the hardness of your heart, and ye shall not harden your neck. |
|

| бо Господь, Бог ваш, є Бог богів і Владика владик, Бог великий, сильний і страшний, Який не дивиться на особи і не бере дарів, | For the Lord your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great, and strong, and terrible God, who does not accept persons, nor will he by any means accept a bribe: |

| Який дає суд сироті і вдові, і любить прибулого, і дає йому хліб і одяг. | executing judgment for the stranger and orphan and widow, and he loves the stranger to give him food and raiment. |
|

|
| Любіть і ви прибульця, тому що самі були прибульцями в землі Єгипетській. | And ye shall love the stranger; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. |
|

|
| Господа, Бога твого, бійся [і] Йому [одному] служи, і до Нього приліпись, і Його ім’ям клянися: | Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt cleave to him, and shalt swear by his name. |
|

|
| Він хвала твоя і Він Бог твій, Який зробив із тобою ті великі і страшні діла, які бачили очі твої; | He is thy boast, and he is thy God, who has wrought in the midst of thee these great and glorious things, which thine eyes have seen. |
|

|
| у сімдесяти [п’ятьох] душах прийшли батьки твої в Єгипет, а нині Господь Бог твій, зробив тебе численним, як зірки небесні. | With seventy souls your fathers went down into Egypt; but the Lord thy God has made thee as the stars of heaven in multitude. |
