| Після цього ураження сказав Господь Мойсеєві та Єлеазару, сину Аарона, священикові, говорячи; | And it came to pass after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and Eleazar the priest, saying, |

| порахуйте всю громаду синів Ізраїлевих від двадцяти років і вище, за сімействами їх, усіх придатних для війни у Ізраїля. | Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, according to the houses of their lineage, every one that goes forth to battle in Israel. |

| І сказав їм Мойсей і Єлеазар священик на рівнинах моавитських біля Йордану, навпроти Єрихона, говорячи: | And Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke in Araboth of Moab at the Jordan by Jericho, saying, |

| порахуйте всіх від двадцяти років і вище, як повелів Господь Мойсеєві і синам Ізраїлевим, які вийшли з землі Єгипетської: | This is the numbering from twenty years old and upward as the Lord commanded Moses. And the sons of Israel that came out of Egypt are as follows: |

| Рувим, первісток Ізраїля. Сини Рувима: від Ханоха покоління Ханохове, від Фаллу покоління Фаллуєве, | Ruben was the first-born of Israel: and the sons of Ruben, Enoch, and the family of Enoch; to Phallu belongs the family of the Phalluites. |

| від Хецрона покоління Хецронове, від Харми покоління Хармиєве; | To Asron, the family of Asroni: to Charmi, the family of Charmi. |

| ось покоління Рувимові; і пораховано їх сорок три тисячі сімсот тридцять. | These are the families of Ruben; and their numbering was forty-three thousand and seven hundred and thirty. |

| І сини Фаллуя: Елиав. | And the sons of Phallu were Eliab,— |

|
| Сини Елиава: Немуїл, Дафан і Авирон. Це ті Дафан і Авирон, що були покликані в зібрання, які вчинили підбурення проти Мойсея й Аарона разом зі спільниками Корея, коли ці підбурювали проти Господа; | and the sons of Eliab, Namuel, and Dathan, and Abiron: these are renowned men of the congregation; these are they that rose up against Moses and Aaron in the gathering of Core, in the rebellion against the Lord. |

| і розверзла земля уста свої, і поглинула їх і Корея; разом з ними померли і спільники їхні, коли вогонь пожер двісті п’ятдесят чоловік, і стали вони в знамення; | And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up them and Core, when their assembly perished, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty, and they were made a sign. |

| але сини Кореєві не померли. | But the sons of Core died not. |

| Ось покоління Симеонові [при підрахуванні їх]: двадцять дві тисячі двісті. | These are the families of Symeon according to their numbering, two and twenty thousand and two hundred. |

| Сини Гада за поколіннями їх: від Цефона покоління Цефонове, від Хаггія покоління Хаггієве, від Шунія покоління Шунієве, | And the sons of Juda, Er and Aunan; and Er and Aunan died in the land of Chanaan. |

| від Ознія покоління Ознієве, від Ерія покоління Ерієве, | And these were the sons of Juda, according to their families: to Selom belonged the family of the Selonites; to Phares, the family of the Pharesites; to Zara, the family of the Zaraites. |

| від Арода покоління Ародове, від Арелія покоління Арелієве; | And the sons of Phares were, to Asron, the family of the Asronites; to Jamun, the family of the Jamunites. |

| від покоління синів Гадових, після підрахування їх: сорок тисяч п’ятсот. | These are the families of Juda according to their numbering, seventy-six thousand and five hundred. |

| Сини Іуди: Ір і Онан, [Шела, Фарес і Зара]; але Ір і Онан померли в землі Ханаанській; | And the sons of Issachar according to their families: to Thola, the family of the Tholaites; to Phua, the family of the Phuaites. |

| і були сини Іуди за поколіннями їх: від Шели покоління Шелине, від Фареса покоління Фаресове, від Зари покоління Зарине; | To Jasub, the family of the Jasubites; to Samram, the family of the Samramites. |
|

| і були сини Фаресові: від Есрома покоління Есромове, від Хамула покоління Хамулове; | These are the families of Issachar according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred. |
|

| ось покоління Іудині, після підрахування їх: сімдесят шість тисяч п’ятсот. | The sons of Zabulon according to their families: to Sared, the family of the Saredites; to Allon, the family of the Allonites; to Allel, the family of the Allelites. |

| Сини Іссахарові за поколіннями їх: від Фоли покоління Фолине, від Фуви покоління Фувине, | These are the families of Zabulon according to their numbering, sixty thousand and five hundred. |
|

| від Іашува покоління Іашувове, від Шимрона покоління Шимронове; | The sons of Gad according to their families: to Saphon, the family of the Saphonites; to Angi, the family of the Angites; to Suni, the family of the Sunites; |
|

| ось покоління Іссахарові, після підрахування їх: шістдесят чотири тисячі триста. | to Azeni, the family of the Azenites; to Addi, the family of the Addites: |

| Сини Завулонові за поколіннями їх: від Середа покоління Середове, від Елона покоління Елонове, від Іахлеїла покоління Іахлеїлове; | to Aroadi, the family of the Aroadites; to Ariel, the family of the Arielites. |

| ось покоління Завулонові, після підрахування їх: шістдесят тисяч п’ятсот. | These are the families of the children of Gad according to their numbering, forty-four thousand and five hundred. |

| Сини Йосифа за поколіннями їх: Манассія і Єфрем. | The sons of Aser according to their families; to Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; to Jesu, the family of the Jesusites; to Baria, the family of the Bariaites. |

| Сини Манассіїні: від Махира покоління Махирове; від Махира народився Галаад, від Галаада покоління Галаадове. | To Chober, the family of the Choberites; to Melchiel, the family of the Melchielites. |

| Ось сини Галаадові: від Ієзера покоління Ієзерове, від Хелека покоління Хелекове, | And the name of the daughter of Aser, Sara. |

| від Асриїла покоління Асриїлове, від Шехема покоління Шехемове, | These are the families of Aser according to their numbering, forty-three thousand and four hundred. |

| від Шемиди покоління Шемидине, від Хефера покоління Хеферове. | The sons of Joseph according to their families, Manasse and Ephraim. |

| У Салпаада, сина Хеферового, не було синів, а тільки дочки; ім’я дочок Салпаадових: Махла, Ноа, Хогла, Милка і Фирца. | The sons of Manasse. To Machir the family of the Machirites; and Machir begot Galaad: to Galaad, the family of the Galaadites. |

| Ось покоління Манассіїні; а підраховано їх п’ятдесят дві тисячі сімсот. | And these are the sons of Galaad; to Achiezer, the family of the Achiezerites; to Cheleg, the family of the Chelegites. |

| Ось сини Єфремові за поколіннями їх: від Шутели покоління Шутелине, від Бехера покоління Бехерове, від Тахана покоління Таханове; | To Esriel, the family of the Esrielites; to Sychem, the family of the Sychemites. |

| і ось сини Шутели: від Арана покоління Аранове; | To Symaer, the family of the Symaerites; and to Opher, the family of the Opherites. |

| ось покоління синів Єфремових, після підрахування їх: тридцять дві тисячі п’ятсот. Ось сини Йосифові за поколіннями їх. | And to Salpaad the son of Opher there were no sons, but daughters: and these were the names of the daughters of Salpaad; Mala, and Nua, and Egla, and Melcha, and Thersa. |

| Сини Веніамінові за поколіннями їх: від Бели покоління Белине, від Ашбела покоління Ашбелове, від Ахирама покоління Ахирамове, | These are the families of Manasse according to their numbering, fifty-two thousand and seven hundred. |

| від Шефуфама покоління Шефуфамове, від Хуфама покоління Хуфамове; | And these are the children of Ephraim; to Suthala, the family of the Suthalanites; to Tanach, the family of the Tanachites. |

| і були сини Бели: Ард і Нааман; [від Арда] покоління Ардове, від Наамана покоління Нааманове; | These are the sons of Suthala; to Eden, the family of the Edenites. |

| ось сини Веніамінові за поколіннями їх; а підраховано їх сорок п’ять тисяч шістсот. | These are the families of Ephraim according to their numbering, thirty-two thousand and five hundred: these are the families of the children of Joseph according to their families. |

| Ось сини Данові за поколіннями їх: від Шухама покоління Шухамове; ось сімейства Данові за поколіннями їх. | The sons of Benjamin according to their families; to Bale, the family of the Balites; to Asyber, the family of the Asyberites; to Jachiran, the family of the Jachiranites. |

| І всіх поколінь Шухама, після підрахування їх: шістдесят чотири тисячі чотириста. | To Sophan, the family of the Sophanites. |

| Сини Асирові за поколіннями їх: від Імни покоління Імнине, від Ішви покоління Ішвине, від Верії покоління Веріїне; | And the sons of Bale were Adar and Noeman; to Adar, the family of the Adarites; and to Noeman, the family of the Noemanites. |

| ім’я дочки Асирової Сара; | And the sons of Dan according to their families; to Same, the family of the Sameites; these are the families of Dan according to their families. |

| ось покоління синів Асирових, після підрахування їх: п’ятдесят три тисячі чотириста. | All the families of Samei according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred. |

| Сини Неффалима за поколіннями їх: від Іахцеїла покоління Іахцеїлове, від Гунія покоління Гунієве, | The sons of Nephthali according to their families; to Asiel, the family of the Asielites; to Gauni, the family of the Gaunites. |

| від Ієцера покоління Ієцерове, від Шиллема покоління Шиллемове; | To Jeser, the family of the Jeserites; to Sellem, the family of the Sellemites. |

| ось покоління Неффалимові за поколіннями їх; підраховано ж їх сорок п’ять тисяч чотириста. | These are the families of Nephthali, according to their numbering, forty thousand and three hundred. |

| Ось число синів Ізраїлевих, що ввійшли у підрахунок: шістсот одна тисяча сімсот тридцять. | This is the numbering of the children of Israel, six hundred and one thousand and seven hundred and thirty. |
|

| І сказав Господь Мойсеєві, говорячи: | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, |

| цим у наділ слід розділити землю за числом імен; | To these the land shall be divided, so that they may inherit according to the number of the names. |
|

|
| хто численніший, тому дай наділ більший; а хто менш численний, тому дай наділ менший: кожному слід дати наділ відповідно до числа тих, що ввійшли до підрахунку; | To the greater number thou shalt give the greater inheritance, and to the less number thou shalt give the less inheritance: to each one, as they have been numbered, shall their inheritance be given. |

| за жеребом слід розділити землю, за іменами колін батьків їх повинні вони одержати наділи; | The land shall be divided to the names by lot, they shall inherit according to the tribes of their families. |
|

|
| за жеребом слід розділити їм наділи їх, як численним, так і нечисленним. | Thou shalt divide their inheritance by lot between the many and the few. |
|

|
57
|
| Ці є левити, що ввійшли до підрахунку, за поколіннями їх: від Гирсона покоління Гирсонове, від Каафа покоління Каафове, від Мерарі покоління Мерарине. | And the sons of Levi according to their families; to Gedson, the family of the Gedsonites; to Caath, the family of the Caathites; to Merari, the family of the Merarites. |

| Ось покоління Левіїні: покоління Ливнієве, покоління Хевронове, покоління Махлієве, покоління Мушієве, покоління Кореєве. Від Каафа народився Амрам. | These are the families of the sons of Levi; the family of the Lobenites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Coreites, and the family of the Musites; and Caath begot Amram. |

| Ім’я дружини Амрамової Іохаведа, дочка Левіїна, яку народила дружина Левіїна в Єгипті, а вона Амраму народила Аарона, Мойсея і Маріам, сестру їхню. | And the name of his wife was Jochabed, daughter of Levi, who bore these to Levi in Egypt, and she bore to Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Mariam their sister. |

| І народилися в Аарона Надав і Авиуд, Єлеазар та Іфамар; | And to Aaron were born both Nadab and Abiud, and Eleazar, and Ithamar. |

| І було підраховано двадцять три тисячі всіх чоловічої статі, від одного місяця і вище; бо вони не були пораховані разом із синами Ізраїлевими, тому що не дано їм наділу серед синів Ізраїлевих. | And there were according to their numbering, twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because they have no inheritance in the midst of the children of Israel. |

| Ось підраховані Мойсеєм і Єлеазаром священиком, які рахували синів Ізраїлевих на рівнинах моавитських біля Йордану, навпроти Єрихона; | And this is the numbering of Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in Araboth of Moab, at Jordan by Jericho. |

| у числі їх не було жодної людини з перелічених Мойсеем і Аароном священиком, які рахували синів Ізраїлевих у пустелі Синайській; | And among these there was not a man numbered by Moses and Aaron, whom, even the children of Israel, they numbered in the wilderness of Sinai. |

| бо Господь сказав їм, що помруть вони в пустелі, — і не залишилося з них нікого, крім Халева, сина Ієфонніїного, та Ісуса, сина Навина. | For the Lord said to them, They shall surely die in the wilderness; and there was not left even one of them, except Chaleb the son of Jephonne, and Joshua the son of Naue. |
