| І я бачив, що Агнець зняв першу із семи печатей, і я почув одну з чотирьох тварин, яка говорила ніби громовим голосом: іди і дивись. | And I saw that the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as a voice of thunder, Come and see. |

| Я глянув, і ось, кінь білий, і на ньому вершник, який мав лук, і дано було йому вінець, і вийшов він як переможний, і щоб перемогти. | And behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon had a bow; and there was given unto him a crown: and he came forth conquering, and to conquer. |

| І коли Він зняв другу печать, я чув другу тварину, яка говорила: іди і дивись. | And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come. |

| І вийшов другий кінь, рудий, і тому, хто сидить на ньому, дано взяти мир від землі, і щоб убивали одне одного; і дано йому великий меч. | And another horse came forth, a red horse: and to him that sat thereon it was given to take peace from the earth, that they should slay one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. |

| І коли Він зняв третю печать, я чув третю тварину, яка говорила: іди і дивись. Я глянув, і ось, кінь вороний, і на ньому вершник, який мав мірило у руці своїй. | And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, Come and see. And behold, a black horse; and he that sat thereon had a balance in his hand. |

| І чув я голос посеред чотирьох тварин, який говорив: мірка пшениці за динарій*, і три мірки ячменю за динарій; єлею ж і вина не пошкоджуй. | And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius; and the oil and the wine hurt thou not. |

| І коли Він зняв четверту печать, я чув голос четвертої тварини, що говорив: іди і дивись. | And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth living creature saying, Come and see. |

| І я глянув, і ось, кінь блідий, і на ньому вершник, якому ім’я «смерть»; і пекло слідом ішло за ним; і дана йому влада над четвертою частиною землі — умертвлювати мечем і голодом, і моровицею, і звірами земними. | And behold, a pale horse: and he that sat upon him, his name was Death; and Hades followed him. And there was given unto him authority over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth. |

| І коли Він зняв п’яту печать, я побачив під жертовником душі убитих за слово Боже і за свідчення, яке вони мали. | And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony of the Lamb which they held: |

| І викликнули вони гучним голосом, кажучи: доки, Владико Святий і Істинний, не судиш і не мстишся тим, що живуть на землі, за кров нашу? | and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? |

| І дано було кожному з них одяг білий, і сказано їм, щоб вони заспокоїлися ще на деякий час, доки і співробітники їхні, і брати їхні, які будуть убиті, як і вони, доповнять число. | And there was given them to each one a white robe; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a time, until their fellow servants also, and their brethren, even they that should be killed even as they were, should fulfill their course. |

| І коли Він зняв шосту печать, я глянув, і ось, стався великий землетрус, і сонце стало темне, як волосяниця, і місяць став, наче кров. | And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; |

| І зірки небесні попадали на землю, як смоковниця, струшувана сильним вітром, обсипає незрілі смокви свої. | and the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a fig tree casting her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great wind. |
|

| І небо зникло, згорнувшись, як сувій; і всяка гора й острів зрушилися з місць своїх. | And the heaven was removed, being rolled up as a scroll; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. |
|

|
| І царі земні, і вельможі, і багаті, і тисячоначальники, і сильні, і всякий раб, і всякий вільний сховались у печери і в ущелини гір, | And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and the chief captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains; |

| і кажуть горам і каменям: упадіть на нас і закрийте нас від лиця Того, Хто сидить на престолі, й від гніву Агнця; | and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: |

| бо прийшов великий день гніву Його, і хто може встояти? | for the great day of his wrath is come; and who is able to stand? |
