| Отже, немає нині ніякого осуду тим, котрі у Христі Ісусі живуть не за плоттю, але за духом. | There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. |
|

| Бо закон духу життя в Христі Ісусі звільнив мене від закону гріха і смерти. | For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. |
|

| А як закон, ослаблений плоттю, був безсилий, то Бог послав Сина Свого в подобі плоті гріховної в жертву за гріх і осудив гріх у плоті, | For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: |

| щоб виправдання закону здійснилося в нас, які живуть не за плоттю, а за духом. | that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. |

|
| Бо ті, що живуть за плоттю, думають про тілесне, а ті, що живуть за духом, — про духовне. | For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. |
|

|
| Помисли плотські є смерть, а помисли духовні — життя і мир, | For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace: |

|
| тому що помисли плотські є ворожнеча проти Бога; бо законові Божому не підкоряються, та й не можуть. | because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be: |

|
| Тому ті, що живуть за плоттю, Богові догодити не можуть. | and they that are in the flesh cannot please God. |
|

|
| Але ви не за плоттю живете, а за духом, якщо тільки Дух Божий живе у вас. Коли ж хто Духа Христового не має, той і не Його. | But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. |

| А коли Христос у вас, то тіло мертве для гріха, але дух живий для праведности. | And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness. |
|

|
| Якщо ж Дух Того, Хто воскресив із мертвих Ісуса, живе у вас, то Той, Хто воскресив Христа з мертвих, оживить і ваші смертні тіла Духом Своїм, який живе в вас. | But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit that dwelleth in you. |

| Отже, браття, ми не боржники плоті, щоб жити за плоттю; | So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh: |
|

|
| бо коли живете за плоттю, то помрете, а коли духом умертвляєте діла плотські, то живі будете. | for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live. |
|

|
| Бо всі, кого Дух Божий водить, є Божі сини. | For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. |
|

|
| Тому що ви не прийняли духа рабства знову на страх, але прийняли Духа усиновлення, Яким кличемо: «Авва, Отче!» | For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. |
|

|
| Цей самий Дух свідчить духові нашому, що ми — діти Божі. | The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God: |

|
| А якщо діти, то і спадкоємці, спадкоємці Божі, співспадкоємці ж Христу, коли тільки з Hим страждаємо, щоб з Hим і прославитися. | and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him. |

| Бо гадаю, що нинішні тимчасові страждання нічого не варті порівняно з тією славою, яка відкриється в нас. | For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward. |

| Бо створіння з надією чекає з’явлення синів Божих, | For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God. |
|

|
| тому що створіння підкорилося суєті не добровільно, а з волі того, хто його підкорив, у надії, | For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it in hope; |
|

|
| що й саме створіння буде визволене від рабства зотління на свободу слави дітей Божих. | because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. |
|

|
| Бо знаємо, що всі істоти разом стогнуть і мучаться донинi; | For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. |
|

|

|
| і не тільки вони, але й ми самі, маючи початок Духа, і ми самі в собі стогнемо, чекаючи усиновлення, відкуплення тіла нашого. | And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. |

| Бо ми спаслися в надії. Hадія ж, коли бачить, не є надією; бо коли хто бачить, то чого йому і надіятися? | For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? |
|

| Але, коли надіємось на те, чого не бачимо, тоді чекаємо в терпінні. | But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. |
|

|
| Також і Дух підкріплює нас у немочах наших: бо ми не знаємо‚ про що молитися‚ як належить, але Сам Дух просить за нас зітханнями невимовними. | And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; |

| А Той, Хто випробовує серця, знає, яка думка в Духа, тому що Він заступається за святих із волі Божої. | and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. |

| До того знаємо, що тим, які люблять Бога, покликаним з Його волі, усе сприяє для добра. | And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose. |
|

| Бо кого Він передбачив, тим і наперед визначив бути подібними до образу Сина Свого, щоб Він був первородним між багатьма браттями. | For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren: |
|

|
| А кого Він наперед визначив, тих і покликав; а кого покликав, тих і виправдав; а кого виправдав, тих і прославив. | and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. |
|

|
| Що ж сказати про це? Якщо Бог за нас, то хто проти нас? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? |
|

|
| Той, Який Сина Свого не пощадив, а видав Його за всіх нас, як з Hим не дарує і нам всього? | He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? |
|

|
| Хто буде звинувачувати обраних Божих? Бог виправдовує їх. | Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth; |
|

|

|
| Хто осуджує? Христос Ісус помер, але й воскрес: Він і праворуч Бога, Він і піклується за нас. | who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that was also raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. |
|

|
| Хто відлучить нас від любови Божої: скорбота, чи утиски, чи гоніння, чи голод, чи нагота, або небезпека, чи меч? Як написано: | Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? |

| «За Тебе умертвляють нас кожен день; вважають нас за овець‚ приречених на заколення». | Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter. |
|

|
| Але все це переборюємо силою Того, Хто полюбив нас. | Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. |
|

|
| Бо я певний, що ні смерть, ні життя, ні ангели, ні початки, ні сили, ні теперішнє, ні майбутнє, | For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, |
|

|
| ні висота, ні глибина, ані інше яке створіння не зможе відлучити нас від любови Божої, що в Христі Ісусі, Господі нашому. | nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
