My son, if thou come to serve the Lord God, prepare thy soul for temptation.

Чaдо, ѓще приступaеши раб0тати гDеви бGу, ўгот0ви дyшу твою2 во и3скушeніе:

Set thy heart aright, and constantly endure, and make not haste in time of trouble.
|
ўпрaви сeрдце твоE и3 потерпи2, и3 не ск0ръ бyди во врeмz наведeніz:

|
Cleave unto him, and depart not away, that thou mayest be increased at thy last end.
|
прилэпи1сz є3мY и3 не tступи2, да возрастeши на послёдокъ тв0й.

|
Whatsoever is brought upon thee take cheerfully, and be patient when thou art changed to a low estate.
|
ВсE є3ли1ко ѓще нанесeно ти2 бyдетъ, пріими2 и3 во и3змэнeніи смирeніz твоегw2 долготерпи2:

|
For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity.

ћкw во nгни2 и3скушaетсz злaто, и3 человёцы пріsтни въ пещи2 смирeніz.

Believe in him, and he will help thee; order thy way aright, and trust in him.
|
Вёруй є3мY, и3 застyпитъ тS, и3 ўпрaви пути6 тво‰ и3 ўповaй нaнь.

Ye that fear the Lord, wait for his mercy; and go not aside, lest ye fall.
|
Боsщіисz гDа, пожди1те млcти є3гw2 и3 не ўклони1тесz, да не падeте.

|
Ye that fear the Lord, believe him; and your reward shall not fail.
|
Боsщіисz гDа, вёруйте є3мY, и3 не и4мать tпaсти мздA вaша.
|

|
Ye that fear the Lord, hope for good, and for everlasting joy and mercy.
|
Боsщіисz гDа, надёйтесz на благ†z и3 на весeліе вёка и3 ми6лости.

|
Look at the generations of old, and see; did ever any trust in the Lord, and was confounded? or did any abide in his fear, and was forsaken? or whom did he ever despise, that called upon him?

Воззри1те на дрє1вніz р0ды и3 ви1дите, кто2 вёрова гDеви и3 постыдёсz; и3ли2 кто2 пребhсть во стрaсэ є3гw2 и3 њстaвисz; и3ли2 кто2 призвA є3го2, и3 презрЁ и5;

For the Lord is full of compassion and mercy, longsuffering, and very pitiful, and forgiveth sins, and saveth in time of affliction.

ЗанE щeдръ и3 млcтивъ гDь, и3 њставлsетъ грэхи2, и3 сп7сaетъ во врeмz ск0рби.

Woe be to fearful hearts, and faint hands, and the sinner that goeth two ways!
|
Г0ре сердцaмъ страшли6вымъ и3 рукaмъ њслaблєнымъ, и3 грёшнику ходsщу на двЁ стєзи2.

|
Woe unto him that is fainthearted! for he believeth not; therefore shall he not be defended.
|
Г0ре сeрдцу њслaблену, ћкw не вёруетъ: сегw2 рaди покровeно не бyдетъ.

|
Woe unto you that have lost patience! and what will ye do when the Lord shall visit you?
|
Г0ре вaмъ погyбльшымъ терпёніе: и3 что2 сотворитE, є3гдA посэти1тъ гDь;

|
They that fear the Lord will not disobey his word; and they that love him will keep his ways.
|
Боsщіисz гDа не сумнэвaютсz њ гlг0лэхъ є3гw2, и3 лю1бzщіи є3го2 сохранsтъ пути6 є3гw2.

|
They that fear the Lord will seek that which is wellpleasing unto him; and they that love him shall be filled with the law.
|

|
They that fear the Lord will prepare their hearts, and humble their souls in his sight,

|
saying, We will fall into the hands of the Lord, and not into the hands of men: for as his majesty is, so is his mercy.
|
да впадeмъ въ рyцэ гDни, ґ не въ рyцэ человёчєски, ћкw бо вели1чество є3гw2, тaкw и3 млcть є3гw2.
