Ось сини Ізраїлеві за числом їх, глави родин, тисячоначальники і стоначальники й управителі, які за відділеннями служили цареві в усіх справах, приходячи і відходячи кожного місяця, в усі місяці року. У кожному відділенні було їх по двадцять чотири тисячі.	Now the sons of Israel according to their number, heads of families, captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, and scribes ministering to the king, and for every affair of the king according to their divisions, for every ordinance of coming in and going out monthly, for all the months of the year, one division of them was twenty-four thousand.

Над першим відділенням, у першому місяці, начальствував Іашовам, син Завдиїла; у його відділенні було двадцять чотири тисячі;	And over the first division of the first month was Isboaz the son of Zabdiel: in his division were twenty-four thousand.

він був із синів Фареса, головний над усіма воєначальниками у перший місяць.	Of the sons of Tharez one was chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.

Над відділенням другого місяця був Додай ахохиянин; у відділенні його був і князь Миклоф, і в його відділенні було двадцять чотири тисячі.	And over the division of the second month was Dodia the son of Ecchoc, and over his division was Makelloth also chief: and in his division were twenty and four thousand, chief men of the host.

Третій головний воєначальник, для третього місяця, Ванея, син Іодая, священика, і в його відділенні було двадцять чотири тисячі:	The third for the third month was Banaias the son of Jodae the chief priest: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

цей Ванея — один із тридцяти хоробрих і начальник над ними, і в його відділенні знаходився Аммизавад, син його.	This Banæas was more mighty than the thirty, and over the thirty: and Zabad his son was over his division.

Четвертий, для четвертого місяця, був Асаїл, брат Іоава, і після нього Завадія, син його, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The fourth for the fourth month was Asael the brother of Joab, and Zabadias his son, and his brethren: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

П’ятий, для п’ятого місяця, князь Шамгуф ізрахитянин, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The fifth chief for the fifth month was Samaoth the Jezraite: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

Шостий, для шостого місяця, Іра, син Іккеша, фекоянин, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The sixth for the sixth month was Hoduias the son of Ekkes the Thecoite: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

Сьомий, для сьомого місяця, Хелец пелонитянин, із синів Єфремових, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The seventh for the seventh month was Chelles of Phallus of the children of Ephraim: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

Восьмий, для восьмого місяця, Совохай хушатянин, із племені Зари, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The eighth for the eighth month was Sobochai the Usathite, belonging to Zarai: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

Дев’ятий, для дев’ятого місяця, Авиєзер анафофянин, із синів Веніамінових, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer of Anathoth, of the land of Benjamin: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

Десятий, для десятого місяця, Магарай нетофафянин, із племені Зари, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The tenth for the tenth month was Meera the Netophathite, belonging to Zarai: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

Одинадцятий, для одинадцятого місяця, Ванея пирафонянин, із синів Єфремових, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The eleventh for the eleventh month was Banaias of Pharathon, of the sons of Ephraim: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

Дванадцятий, для дванадцятого місяця, Хелдай нетофафянин, з нащадків Гофониїла, і в його відділенні двадцять чотири тисячі.	The twelfth for the twelfth month was Choldia the Netophathite, belonging to Gothoniel: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.

А над колінами Ізраїлевими, — у рувимлян головним начальником був Єлиєзер, син Зихри; у Симеона — Сафатія, син Маахи;	And over the tribes of Israel, the chief for Ruben was Eliezer the son of Zechri: for Symeon, Saphatias the son of Maacha:

у Левія — Хашавія, син Кемуїла; в Аарона — Садок;	for Levi, Asabias the son of Camuel: for Aaron, Sadoc:

в Іуди — Елиав, із братів Давида; у Іссахара — Омрі, син Михаїла;	for Juda, Eliab of the brethren of David: for Issachar, Ambri the son of Michael:

у Завулона–Ішмаія, син Овадії; у Неффалима — Ієримоф, син Азриїла;	for Zabulon, Samæas the son of Abdiu: for Nephthali, Jerimoth the son of Oziel:

у синів Єфремових — Осія, син Азазії; у половини коліна Манассіїного — Іоїль, син Федаії;	for Ephraim, Ose the son of Ozia: for the half-tribe of Manasse, Joel the son of Phadæa:

у половини коліна Манассії в Галааді — Іддо, син Захарії; у Веніаміна — Іаасиїл, син Авенира;	for the half-tribe of Manasse in the land of Galaad, Jadai the son of Zadæas, for the sons of Benjamin, Jasiel the son of Abenner:

у Дана — Азариїл, син Ієрохама. Ось вожді колін Ізраїлевих.	for Dan, Azariel the son of Iroab: these are the chiefs of the tribes of Israel.

Давид не робив переліку тих, які були від двадцяти років і нижче, тому що Господь сказав, що Він примножить Ізраїля, як зірки небесні.	But David took not their number from twenty years old and under: because the Lord said that he would multiply Israel as the stars of the heaven.

Іоав, син Саруї, почав робити перелік, але не скінчив. І був за це гнів Божий на Ізраїля, і не ввійшов той перелік у літопис царя Давида.	And Joab the son of Saruia began to number the people, and did not finish the work, for there was hereupon wrath on Israel; and the number was not recorded in the book of the chronicles of king David.

Над скарбами царськими був Азмавеф, син Адиїлів, а над запасами в полі, у містах, і в селах, і у вежах — Іонафан, син Уззії;	And over the king's treasures was Asmoth the son of Odiel; and over the treasures in the country, and in the towns, and in the villages, and in the towers, was Jonathan the son of Ozia.

над тими, що займаються польовими роботами, землеробством — Езрій, син Хелува;	And over the husbandmen who tilled the ground was Esdri the son of Chelub.

над виноградниками — Шимей з Рами, а над запасами вина у виноградниках — Завдій із Шефама;	And over the fields was Semei of Rael; and over the treasures of wine in the fields was Zabdi the son of Sephni.

над оливами і смоковницями в долині — Баал Ханаан гедеритянин, а над запасами деревинної олії — Іоас;	And over the oliveyards, and over the sycamores in the plain country was Ballanan the Gedorite; and over the stores of oil was Joas.

над великою худобою, що паслася в Шароні, — Шитрай шаронянин, а над худобою в долинах — Шафат, син Адлая;	And over the oxen pasturing in Saron was Satrai the Saronite; and over the oxen in the valleys was Sophat the son of Adli.

над верблюдами — Овил ісмаїльтянин; над ослицями — Ієхдія меронифянин;	And over the camels was Abias the Ismaelite; and over the asses was Jadias of Merathon.

над дрібною худобою — Іазиз агаритянин. Усі ці були начальниками над майном, що було в царя Давида.	And over the sheep was Jaziz the Agarite. All these were superintendents of the substance of king David.

Іонафан, дядько Давидів, був радником, чоловік розумний і писар; Ієхиїл, син Хахмоніїв, був при синах царя;	And Jonathan, David's uncle by the father's side, was a counsellor, a wise man: and Jeel the son of Achami was with the king's sons.

Ахитофел був радником царя; Хусій архитянин — другом царя;	Achitophel was the king's counsellor: and Chusi the chief friend of the king.

після ж Ахитофела Іодай, син Ванеї, та Авиафар, а Іоав був воєначальником у царя.	And after this Achitophel Jodae the son of Banæas came next, and Abiathar: and Joab was the king's commander-in-chief.
