Глава 9	Chapter 9

Так були перераховані за родами своїми всі ізраїльтяни, і ось вони записані в книзі царів ізраїльських. Юдеї ж за беззаконня свої переселені у Вавилон.	And this is all Israel, even their enrolment: and these are written down in the book of the kings of Israel and Juda, with the names of them that were carried away to Babylon for their transgressions.

Перші жителі, які жили у володіннях своїх, по містах ізраїльських, були ізраїльтяни, священики, левити і нефинеї.	And they that dwelt before in their possessions in the cities of Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the appointed ones.

В Єрусалимі жили деякі із синів Іудиних і із синів Веніамінових, і із синів Єфремових і Манассіїних:	And there dwelt in Jerusalem some of the children of Juda, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasse.

Уфай, син Аммиуда, син Омри, син Імрія, син Ванія, — із синів Фареса, сина Іудиного;	And Gnothi, and the son of Samiud, the son of Amri, the son of Ambraim, the son of Buni, son of the sons of Phares, the son of Juda.

із синів Шилона — Асаія первісток і сини його;	And of the Selonites; Asaia his first-born, and his sons.

із синів Зари — Ієуїл і брати їхні, — шістсот дев’яносто;	Of the sons of Zara; Jeel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

з синів Веніамінових Саллу, син Мешуллама, син Годавії, син Гассенуї;	And of the sons of Benjamin; Salom, son of Mosollam, son of Odouia, son of Asinu.

та Івнія, син Ієрохама, і Ела, син Уззія, сина Михриєвого, і Мешуллам, син Шефатії, сина Регуїла, сина Івнії,	And Jemnaa son of Jeroboam, and Elo: these are the sons of Ozi the son of Machir: and Mosollam, son of Saphatia, son of Raguel, son of Jemnai;

і брати їхні, за родами їхніми: дев’ятсот п’ятдесят шість, — усі ці мужі були глави родів у поколіннях своїх.	and their brethren according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six, all the men were heads of families according to the houses of their fathers.

А зі священиків: Ієдаія, Іоїарив, Іахин,	And of the priests; Jodaë, and Joarim, and Jachin,

й Азарія, син Хелкії, син Мешуллама, син Садока, син Мераїофа, син Ахитува, який начальствує у домі Божому;	and Azaria the son of Chelcias, the son of Mosollam, the son of Sadoc, the son of Maraïoth, the son of Achitob, the ruler of the house of God;

і Адаія, син Ієрохама, син Пашхура, син Малхії; і Маасай, син Адиела, син Іахзера, син Мешуллама, син Мешиллемифа, син Іммера;	and Adaia son of Iraam, son of Phascor, son of Melchia, and Maasaia son of Adiel, son of Ezira, son of Mosollam, son of Maselmoth, son of Emmer;

і брати їхні, глави родів своїх: тисяча сімсот шістдесят, — люди відмінні у справі служіння в домі Божому.	and their brethren, chiefs of their families, a thousand seven hundred and sixty, mighty men for the work of the ministration of the house of God.

А з левитів: Шемаія, син Хашува, син Азрикама, син Хашавії, — із синів Мерариних;	And of the Levites; Samaia son of Asob, son of Ezricam, son of Asabia, of the sons of Merari.

і Вакбакар, Хереш, Галал, і Матфанія, син Михи, син Зихрія, син Асафа;	And Bacbacar, and Ares, and Galaal, and Matthanias son of Micha, son of Zechri, son of Asaph;

й Овадія, син Шемаії, син Галала, син Ідифуна, і Берехія, син Аси, син Елкани, що жив у селищах нетофафських.	and Abdia, son of Samia, son of Galaal, son of Idithun, and Barachia son of Ossa, son of Helcana—who dwelt in the villages of the Notephatites.

А воротарі: Шаллум, Аккуб, Талмон і Ахиман, і брати їхні; Шаллум був головним.	The door-keepers; Salom, Acum, Telmon, and Diman, and their brethren; Salom was the chief;

І донині ці воротарі біля воріт царських, на схід, утримують варту синів Левіїних.	and he waited hitherto in the king's gate eastward: these are the gates of the companies of the sons of Levi.

Шаллум, син Коре, син Евиасафа, син Корея, і брати його з роду його, кореяни, у справі служіння свого, були зі сторожею біля порогів скинії, а батьки їхні охороняли вхід у стан Господній.	And Sellum the son of Core, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Core, and his brethren belonging to the house of his father, the Corites were over the works of the service, keeping the watches of the tabernacle, and their fathers over the camp of the Lord, keeping the entrance.

Финеєс, син Єлеазарів, був раніше начальником над ними, і Господь був з ним.	And Phinees son of Eleazar was head over them before the Lord, and these were with him.

Захарія, син Мешелемії, був воротарем біля дверей скинії зібрання.	Zacharias the son of Mosollami was keeper of the door of the tabernacle of witness.
22	22
Усіх їх, обраних у воротарі до порогів, було двісті дванадцять. Вони внесені в список за селищами своїми. Їх поставив Давид і Самуїл прозорливець за вірність їх.	All the chosen porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve, these were in their courts, this was their distribution: these David and Samuel the seer established in their charge.

І вони і сини їхні були на варті біля воріт дому Господнього, при домі скинії.	And these and their sons were over the gates in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the tabernacle, to keep watch.

На чотирьох боках знаходилися воротарі: на східному, західному, північному і південному.	The gates were toward the four winds, eastward, westward, northward, southward.

Брати ж їхні жили в селищах своїх, приходячи до них час від часу на сім днів.	And their brethren were in their courts, to enter in weekly from time to time with these.

Ці чотири начальники воротарів, левити, були в довірі; вони ж були приставлені до осель і до скарбів дому Божого.	For four strong men have the charge of the gates; and the Levites were over the chambers, and they keep watch over the treasures of the house of God.

Навколо дому Божого вони і ніч проводили, тому що на них лежала охорона, і вони повинні були щоранку відмикати двері.	For the charge was upon them, and these were charged with the keys to open the doors of the temple every morning.

Одні з них були приставлені до службових сосудів, так що за рахунком приймали їх і за рахунком видавали.	And some of them were appointed over the vessels of service, that they should carry them in by number, and carry them out by number.

Іншим з них було доручено інше начиння й усі священні потреби: борошно краще, і вино, і єлей, і ладан, і пахощі.	And some of them were appointed over the furniture, and over all the holy vessels, and over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the spices.

А із синів священичих деякі готували миро з речовин запашних.	And some of the priests were makers of the ointment, and appointed to prepare the spices.

Маттафії з левитів, — він первісток Селлума кореянина, — довірено було те, що готується на сковородах.	And Matthathias of the Levites, (he was the first-born of Salom the Corite,) was set in charge over the sacrifices of meat-offering of the pan belonging to the high priest.

Деяким із братів їхніх, із синів Каафових, було доручено заготівлю хлібів предкладення, щоб приносити їх щосуботи.	And Banaias the Caathite, from among their brethren, was set over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.

Співці ж, головні в поколіннях левитських, у кімнатах храму були вільні від занять, тому що день і ніч вони зобов’язані були займатися мистецтвом своїм.	And these were the singers, heads of families of the Levites, to whom were established daily courses, for they were employed in the services day and night.

Це глави поколінь левитських, у родах своїх головні. Вони жили в Єрусалимі.	These were the heads of the families of the Levites according to their generations; these chiefs dwelt in Jerusalem.

У Гаваоні жили: батько гаваонитян Ієїл, — ім’я дружини його Мааха,	And Jeël the father of Gabaon dwelt in Gabaon; and his wife's name was Moöcha.

і син його первісток Авдон, за ним Цур, Кис, Ваал, Нер, Надав,	And his first-born son was Abdon, and he had Sur, and Kis, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

Гедор, Ахио, Захарія і Миклоф.	and Gedur and his brother, and Zacchur, and Makeloth.

Миклоф породив Шимеама. І вони жили поряд з братами своїми в Єрусалимі разом з братами своїми.	And Makeloth begot Samaa: and these dwelt in the midst of their brethren in Jerusalem, even in the midst of their brethren.

Нер породив Киса, Кис породив Саула, Саул породив Іонафана, Мелхисуя, Авинадава й Ешбаала.	And Ner begot Kis, and Kis begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, and Melchisue, and Aminadab, and Asabal.

Син Іонафана Мериббаал; Мериббаал породив Миху.	And the son of Jonathan was Meribaal: and Meribaal begot Micha.

Сини Михи: Пифон, Мелех, Фарей [і Ахаз].	And the sons of Micha were Phithon and Malach, and Tharach.

Ахаз породив Іаеру; Іаера породив Алемефа, Азмавефа і Замврія; Замврій породив Моцу;	And Achaz begot Jada: and Jada begot Galemeth, and Gazmoth, and Zambri; and Zambri begot Massa.

Моца породив Бинею: Рефаія, син його; Елеаса, син його; Ацел, син його.	And Massa begot Baana, and Rhaphaïa was his son, Elasa his son, Esel his son.

У Ацела шість синів, і ось імена їхні: Азрикам, Бохру, Ісмаїл, Шеарія, Овадія і Ханан. Це сини Ацела.	And Esel had six sons, and these were their names; Esricam his first-born, and Ismael, and Saraia, and Abdia, and Anan, and Asa: these were the sons of Esel.
