Ось сини Ізраїля: Рувим, Симеон, Левій, Іуда, Іссахар, Завулон,	These are the names of the sons of Israel;

Дан, Йосиф, Веніамін, Неффалим, Гад і Асир.	Ruben, Symeon, Levi, Juda, Issachar, Zabulon, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad, Aser.

Сини Іуди: Ір, Онан і Силом, — троє народилися в нього від дочки Шуєвої, хананеянки. І був Ір, первісток Іудин, не благоугодний в очах Господа, і Він умертвив його.	The sons of Juda; Er, Aunan, Selom. These three were born to him of the daughter of Sava the Chananitish woman: and Er, the first-born of Juda, was wicked before the Lord, and he slew him.

І Фамар, невістка його, народила йому Фареса і Зару. Усіх синів у Іуди було п’ятеро.	And Thamar his daughter-in-law bore to him Phares, and Zara: all the sons of Juda were five.

Сини Фареса: Есром і Хамул.	The sons of Phares, Esrom, and Jemuel.

Сини Зари: Зимри, Ефан, Еман, Халкол і Дара; усіх їх п’ятеро.	And the sons of Zara, Zambri, and Ætham, and Æmuan, and Calchal, and Darad, in all five.

Сини Харми: Ахар, який навів біду на Ізраїля, порушивши закляття.	And the sons of Charmi; Achar the troubler of Israel, who was disobedient in the accursed thing.

Син Ефана: Азарія.	And the sons of Ætham; Azarias,

Сини Есрома, які народилися в нього: Ієрахмеїл, Арам і Хелувай.	and the sons of Esrom who were born to him; Jerameel, and Aram, and Chaleb.

Арам же породив Аминадава; Аминадав породив Наассона, князя синів Іудиних;	And Aram begot Aminadab, and Aminadab begot Naasson, chief of the house of Juda.

Наассон породив Салмона, Салмон породив Вооза;	And Naasson begot Salmon, and Salmon begot Booz,

Вооз породив Овида, Овид породив Ієссея;	and Booz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jessæ.

Ієссей породив первістка свого Елиава, другого — Аминадава, третього — Самму,	And Jessæ begot his first-born Eliab, Aminadab was the second, Samaa the third,

четвертого — Нафанаїла, п’ятого — Раддая,	Nathanael the fourth, Zabdai the fifth,

шостого — Оцема, сьомого — Давида.	Asam the sixth, David the seventh.

Сестри їх: Саруія й Авигея. Сини Саруії: Авесса, Іоав і Азаїл, троє.	And their sister was Saruia, and another Abigaia: and the sons of Saruia were Abisa, and Joab, and Asael, three.

Авигея народила Амессу; батько ж Амесси — Ієфер, ізмаїльтянин.	And Abigaia bore Amessab: and the father of Amessab was Jothor the Ismaelite.

Халев, син Есрома, породив від Азуви, дружини своєї, і від Ієриофи, і ось сини його: Ієшер, Шовав і Ардон.	And Chaleb the son of Esrom took Gazuba to wife, and Jerioth: and these were her sons; Jasar, and Subab, and Ardon.

І померла Азува; і взяв собі Халев [дружину] Ефрафу, і вона народила йому Хура.	And Gazuba died; and Chaleb took to himself Ephrath, and she bore to him Or.

Хур породив Урія, Урій породив Веселиїла.	And Or begot Uri, and Uri begot Beseleel.

Потім Есром увійшов до дочки Махира, батька Галаадового, і взяв її, будучи шістдесяти років, і вона народила йому Сегува.	And after this Esron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Galaad, and he took her when he was sixty-five years old; and she bore him Seruch.

Сегув породив Іаїра, і було в нього двадцять три міста в землі Галаадській.	And Seruch begot Jair, and he had twenty-three cities in Galaad.

Але гессуряни і сиріяни взяли в них селища Іаїра, Кенаф і залежні від нього міста, — шістдесят міст. Усі ці міста синів Махира, батька Галаадового.	And he took Gedsur and Aram, the towns of Jair from them; with Canath and its towns, sixty cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Galaad.

Після смерти Есрома в Халев-Ефрафі дружина Есромова, Авия, народила йому Ашхура, батька Фекої.	And after the death of Esron, Chaleb came to Ephratha; and the wife of Esron was Abia; and she bore him Ascho the father of Thecoe.

Сини Ієрахмеїла, первістка Есромового, були: первісток Рам, за ним Вуна, Орен, Оцем і Ахия.	And the sons of Jerameel the first-born of Esron were, the first-born Ram, and Banaa, and Aram, and Asan his brother.

Була в Ієрахмеїла й інша дружина, ім’я її Афара; вона мати Онама.	And Jerameel had another wife, and her name was Atara: she is the mother of Ozom.

Сини Рама, первістка Ієрахмеїлового, були: Маац, Іамин і Екер.	And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerameel were Maas, and Jamin, and Acor.

Сини Онама були: Шаммай та Іада. Сини Шаммая: Надав і Авишур.	And the sons of Ozom were, Samai, and Jadae: and the sons of Samai; Nadab, and Abisur.

Ім’я дружини Авишурової Авихаїль, і вона народила йому Ахбана і Молида.	And the name of the wife of Abisur was Abichaia, and she bore him Achabar, and Moel.

Сини Надава: Селед та Афаїм. І помер Селед бездітним.	And the sons of Nadab; Salad and Apphain; and Salad died without children.

Син Афаїма: Іший. Син Ішия: Шешан. Син Шешана: Ахлай.	And the sons of Apphain, Isemiel; and the sons of Isemiel, Sosan; and the sons of Sosan, Dadai.

Сини Іади, брата Шаммаєвого: Ієфер та Іонафан. Ієфер помер бездітним.	And the sons of Dadai, Achisamas, Jether, Jonathan: and Jether died childless.

Сини Іонафана: Пелеф і Заза. Це сини Ієрахмеїла.	And the sons of Jonathan; Phaleth, and Hozam. These were the sons of Jerameel.

У Шешана не було синів, а тільки дочки. У Шешана був раб, єгиптянин, ім’я його Іарха;	And Sosan had no sons, but daughters. And Sosan had an Egyptian servant, and his name was Jochel.

Шешан віддав дочку свою Іархові [рабові своєму] за дружину: і вона народила йому Аттая.	And Sosan gave his daughter to Jochel his servant to wife; and she bore him Ethi.

Аттай породив Нафана, Нафан породив Завада;	And Ethi begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabed,

Завад породив Ефлала, Ефлал породив Овида;	and Zabed begot Aphamel, and Aphamel begot Obed.

Овид породив Ієуя, Ієуй породив Азарію;	And Obed begot Jeu, and Jeu begot Azarias,

Азарія породив Хелеца, Хелец породив Елеасу;	and Azarias begot Chelles, and Chelles begot Eleasa,

Сини Хеврона: Корей і Таппуах, і Рекем і Шема.	And the sons of Chebron; Core, and Thapphus, and Recom, and Samaa.

Шема породив Рахама, батька Іоркеамового, а Рекем породив Шаммая.	And Samaa begot Raem the father of Jeclan: and Jeclan begot Samai.

Син Шаммая Маон, а Маон — батько Беф-Цура.	And his son was Maon: and Maon is the father of Bæthsur.

І Ефа, наложниця Халевова, народила Харана, Моцу і Газеза. І Харан породив Газеза.	And Gæpha the concubine of Chaleb bore Aram, and Mosa, and Gezue.

Сини Ієгдая: Регем, Іофам, Гешан, Пелет, Ефа і Шааф.	And the sons of Addai were Ragem, and Joatham, and Sogar, and Phalec, and Gæpha, and Sagae.

Наложниця Халевова, Мааха, народила Шевера і Фирхану;	And Chaleb's concubine Mocha bore Saber, and Tharam.

Салма, батько Вифлеєма; Хареф, батько Бефгадера.	Salomon the father of Bætha, Lammon the father of Bæthalaem, and Arim the father of Bethgedor.

Племена Кириаф-Іарима: іфрияни, футияни, шумафани і мидраїтяни. Від цих пішли цоряни й ештаоляни.	and Umasphaë, cities of Jair; Æthalim, and Miphithim, and Hesamathim, and Hemasaraim; from these went forth the Sarathæans, and the sons of Esthaam.

Сини Салми: вифлеємляни і нетофафяни, вінець дому Іоавового і половина менухотян — цоряни,	The sons of Salomon; Bæthalaem, the Netophathite, Ataroth of the house of Joab, and half of the family of Malathi, Esari.

і племена соферійців, які жили в Іабеці, тирейці, шимейці, сухайці: це кинеяни, які пішли від Хамафа, батька Бетрехава.	The families of the scribes dwelling in Jabis; Thargathiim, and Samathiim, and Sochathim, these are the Kinæans that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
