|
Коли Давид жив у домі своєму, то сказав Давид Нафану пророку: ось, я живу в домі кедровому, а ковчег завіту Господнього під наметом.
|
And it came to pass as David dwelt in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Behold, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under curtains of skins.

І сказав Нафан Давиду: все, що в тебе на серці, роби, тому що з тобою Бог.
|
And Nathan said to David, Do all that is in thy heart; for God is with thee.
|

|
Але в ту ж ніч було слово Боже до Нафана:
|
And it came to pass in that night, that the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,
|
|

|
|
піди і скажи рабові Моєму Давиду: так говорить Господь: не ти побудуєш Мені дім для перебування,
|
Go and say to David my servant, Thus said the Lord, Thou shalt not build me a house for me to dwell in it.
|
|

|
бо Я не жив у домі з того дня, як вивів синів Ізраїля, і до цього дня, а ходив зі скинії у скинію і з житла в житло.
|
For I have not dwelt in a house from the day that I brought up Israel until this day, but I have been in a tabernacle and a tent,
|
|

|
|
Де не ходив Я з усім Ізраїлем, чи сказав Я хоч слово кому-небудь із суддів ізраїльських, яким Я повелів пасти народ Мій: чому ви не побудуєте Мені дому кедрового?
|
in all places through which I have gone with all Israel: did I ever speak to any one tribe of Israel whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why is it that ye have not built me a house of cedar?
|

|
І тепер так скажи рабові Моєму Давиду: так говорить Господь Саваоф: Я взяв тебе від отари овець, щоб ти був вождем народу Мого Ізраїля;
|
And now thus shalt thou say to my servant David, Thus saith the Lord Almighty, I took thee from the sheepfold, from following the flocks, to be a ruler over my people Israel:
|

|
і був з тобою скрізь, куди б ти не ходив, і знищив усіх ворогів твоїх перед лицем твоїм, і зробив ім’я твоє, як ім’я великих на землі;
|
and I was with thee in all places whither thou wentest, and I destroyed all thine enemies from before thee, and I made for thee a name according to the name of the great ones that are upon the earth.

|
і Я влаштував місце для народу Мого Ізраїля, й укорінив його, і буде він спокійно жити на місці своєму, і не буде більше потривожений, і нечестиві не стануть більше тіснити його, як раніше,
|
And I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and I will plant him, and he shall dwell by himself, and shall no longer be anxious; and the son of iniquity shall no longer afflict him, as at the beginning,
|

|
у ті дні, коли Я поставив суддів над народом Моїм Ізраїлем, і Я смирив усіх ворогів твоїх, і сповіщаю тобі, що Господь спорудить тобі дім.
|
and from the days when I appointed judges over my people Israel. Also I have humbled all thine enemies, and I will increase thee, and the Lord will build thee a house.

|
Коли виповняться дні твої, і ти відійдеш до батьків твоїх, тоді Я восставлю сíм’я твоє після тебе, яке буде із синів твоїх, і зміцню царство його.
|
And it shall come to pass when thy days shall be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

|
Він побудує Мені дім, і утверджу престіл його повіки.
|
He shall build me a house, and I will set up his throne for ever.
|
|

|
Я буду йому отцем, і він буде Мені сином, — і милости Моєї не відніму від нього, як Я відняв від того, який був раніше тебе.
|
I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son: and my mercy will I not withdraw from him, as I withdrew it from them that were before thee.
|

|
Я поставлю його в домі Моєму й у царстві Моєму повіки, і престіл його буде міцним вічно.
|
And I will establish him in my house and in his kingdom for ever; and his throne shall be set up for ever.
|
|

|
Всі ці слова і все видіння точно переказав Нафан Давиду.
|
According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so spoke Nathan to David.
|
|

|
|
І прийшов цар Давид, і став перед лицем Господнім, і сказав: хто я, Господи Боже, і що таке дім мій, що Ти так підніс мене?
|
And king David came and sat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast loved me for ever?
|

|
Але і цього ще мало здалося в очах Твоїх, Боже; Ти звіщаєш про дім раба Твого у майбутньому, і дивишся на мене, як на людину велику, Господи Боже!
|
And these things were little in thy sight, O God: thou hast also spoken concerning the house of thy servant for a long time to come, and thou hast looked upon me as a man looks upon his fellow, and hast exalted me, O Lord God.

|
Що ще може додати перед Тобою Давид для звеличення раба Твого? Ти знаєш раба Твого!
|
What shall David do more toward thee to glorify thee? and thou knowest thy servant.
|
|
19
|

|
|
Господи! для раба Твого, за серцем Твоїм, Ти робиш усе це велике, щоб явити усяку велич.
|
And thou hast wrought all this greatness according to thine heart.
|
|
20
|
20
|
|
Господи! Немає подібного до Тебе, і немає Бога, крім Тебе, в усьому, що чули ми своїми вухами.
|
O Lord, there is none like thee, and there is no God beside thee, according to all things which we have heard with our ears.
|
|

|
|
І хто подібний до народу Твого Ізраїля, єдиного народу на землі, до якого приходив Бог, щоб викупити його Собі в народ, зробити Собі ім’я великим і страшним ділом — прогнанням народів від лиця народу Твого, який Ти визволив з Єгипту.
|
Neither is there another nation upon the earth such as thy people Israel, whereas God led him in the way, to redeem a people for himself, to make for himself a great and glorious name, to cast out nations from before thy people, whom thou redeemedst out of Egypt.

|
Ти зробив народ Твій Ізраїля Своїм власним народом навік, і Ти, Господи, став Богом його.
|
And thou hast appointed thy people Israel as a people to thyself for ever; and thou, Lord, didst become a God to them.
|
|

|
|
Отже, тепер, о, Господи, слово, яке Ти сказав про раба Твого і про дім його, утверди навік, і зроби, як Ти сказав.
|
And now, Lord, let the word which thou spokest to thy servant, and concerning his house, be confirmed for ever, and do thou as thou hast spoken.
|

|
І нехай перебуває і звеличується ім’я Твоє повіки, щоб говорили: Господь Саваоф, Бог Ізраїлів, є Бог над Ізраїлем, і дім раба Твого Давида нехай буде міцним перед лицем Твоїм.
|
And let thy name be established and magnified for ever, men saying, Lord, Lord, Almighty God of Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee.
|

|
Бо Ти, Боже мій, відкрив рабові Твоєму, що Ти спорудиш йому дім, тому раб Твій і насмілився молитися перед Тобою.
|
For thou, O Lord my God, hast revealed to the ear of thy servant that thou wilt build him a house; therefore thy servant has found a willingness to pray before thee.

|
І нині, Господи, Ти Бог, і Ти сказав про раба Твого таке благо.
|
And now, Lord, thou thyself art God, and thou hast spoken these good things concerning thy servant.
|
|

|
|
Почни ж благословляти дім раба Твого, щоб він був вічно перед лицем Твоїм. Бо якщо Ти, Господи, благословиш, то буде він благословенний повік.
|
And now thou hast begun to bless the house of thy servant, so that it should continue for ever before thee: for thou, Lord, hast blessed it, and do thou bless it for ever.
