Глава 10	Chapter 10

Закон, маючи лише тінь майбутніх благ, а не сам образ речей, одними й тими ж жертвами, які щороку постійно приносяться, ніколи не може зробити досконалими тих, що приходять з ними.	For the law having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very image of the things, they can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.

Інакше їх перестали б приносити, бо ті, що приносять жертву, один раз очистившись, не мали б уже ніякої свідомости гріхів.	Else would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshipers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins.

Але жертвами щороку нагадується про гріхи,	But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance made of sins year by year.

бо неможливо, щоб кров телят і козлів знищувала гріхи.	For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.

Тому Христос, входячи у світ, говорить: «Жертви і принесення Ти не захотів, але тіло приготував Мені.	Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;

Всеспалення і жертви за гріх неугодні Тобі.	In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hadst no pleasure:

Тоді Я сказав: ось, іду, як на початку книги написано про Мене, виконати волю Твою, Боже».	Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God.

Сказавши перше, що ні жертви, ані принесення, ні всеспалення, ні жертви за гріх, — які приносяться за законом, — Ти не захотів і не благозволив,	Saying above, Sacrifice and offering and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (which are offered according to the law),

потім додав: «Ось іду виконати волю Твою, Боже». Скасовує перше, щоб настановити друге.	then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

За цією-то волею ми освячені одноразовим принесенням тіла Ісуса Христа.	By which will we have been sanctified, we, I say, who have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

І всякий священик щодня стоїть у служінні та багаторазово приносить одні і ті самі жертви, які ніколи не можуть знищити гріхів.	And every priest indeed standeth day by day ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

Він же, принісши одну жертву за гріхи, назавжди сів праворуч Бога,	but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13	13
чекаючи далі, доки вороги Його будуть покладені до підніжжя ніг Його.	henceforth expecting till his enemies be made the footstool of his feet.
14	14
Бо Він одним принесенням назавжди вдосконалив тих, що освячуються.	For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
15	15
Про це свідчить нам і Дух Святий, бо сказано:	And the Holy Spirit also beareth witness to us; for after that he hath said before,
16	16
«Ось Завіт, який заповідаю їм після тих днів, говорить Господь: вкладу закони Мої в серця їхні, і в думках їхніх напишу їх,	This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws on their heart, And upon their minds also will I write them;
17	17
і гріхів їхніх та беззаконь їхніх не згадаю більше».	then saith he, And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
18	18
А де відпущення їх, там не потрібне принесення за гріхи.	Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19	19
Отже, браття, маючи дерзновення входити до святилища через Кров Ісуса Христа, дорогою новою і живою,	Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
20	20
яку Він знову відкрив нам через завісу, тобто плоть Свою,	by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21	21
і маючи великого Священика над домом Божим,	and having a great priest over the house of God;
22	22
приступаймо з щирим серцем, з повною вірою, кропленням очистивши серце від порочної совісти та обмивши тіло водою чистою,	let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our body washed with pure water:
23	23
будемо триматися сповідання надії неухильно, бо вірний Той, Хто обіцяв;	let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:
24	24
будемо уважними один до одного, заохочуючи до любови й добрих діл,	and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works;
25	25
не будемо залишати зібрання свого, як у деяких є звичай; але умовляти один одного, і тим більше, чим більше бачите наближення того дня.	not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.

Бо коли ми, одержавши пізнання істини, свавільно грішимо, то не зостається більше жертви за гріхи,	For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins,
27	27
але якесь страшне очікування суду й лютости вогню, готового пожерти противників.	but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.
28	28
Якщо той, хто зрікся закону Мойсеєвого, при двох чи трьох свідках, без милосердя карається смертю,	A man that hath set at nought Moses’ law dieth without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses:
29	29
то наскільки тяжчої кари, гадаєте, заслужить той, хто зневажає Сина Божого і не шанує як святиню Кров завіту, якою освячений, і Духа благодаті ображає?	of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Ми знаємо Того, Хто сказав: «У Мене помста, Я відплачу, — говорить Господь». І ще: «Господь буде судити народ Свій».	For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Страшно впасти в руки Бога Живого!	It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32	32
Згадайте попередні дні ваші, коли ви, бувши просвічені, витримали великий подвиг страждань,	But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were enlightened, ye endured a great conflict of sufferings;

то самі серед ганьби й скорбот, бувши видовищем для інших, то поділяючи участь інших, які були в такому ж станi;	partly, being made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, becoming partakers with them that were so used.

бо ви й моїм кайданам співстраждали‚ і розграбування майна вашого прийняли з радістю, знаючи, що є у вас на небесах майно краще і неминуще.	For ye both had compassion on me in my bonds, and took joyfully the plundering of your possessions, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better possession in heaven and an abiding one.

Отже, не покидайте уповання вашого, яке чекає велика нагорода.	Cast not away therefore your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward.
36	36
Терпіння потрібне вам, щоб, виконавши волю Божу, одержати обіцяне.	For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.
37	37
Бо ще «небагато, зовсім небагато‚ і Грядущий прийде і не забариться».	For yet a very little while, He that cometh shall come, and shall not tarry.
38	38
«Праведний вірою живий буде; а коли хто вагається, не благоволить до того душа Моя».	But he that is righteous shall live by faith: And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him.
39	39
Ми ж не з тих, що вагаються на погибель, але стоїмо у вірі на спасіння душі.	But we are not of them that shrink back unto perdition; but of them that have faith unto the saving of the soul.
