| І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: піди до фараона і скажи йому: так говорить Господь, Бог євреїв: відпусти народ Мій, щоб він звершив Мені служіння; | And the Lord said to Moses, Go in to Pharao, and thou shalt say to him, These things saith the Lord God of the Hebrews; Send my people away that they may serve me. |

| бо якщо ти не захочеш відпустити [народ Мій] і ще будеш утримувати його, | If however thou wilt not send my people away, but yet detainest them: |
|

|
| то ось, рука Господня буде на худобі твоїй, яка у полі, на конях, на ослах, на верблюдах, на волах і вівцях: буде моровиця дуже тяжка; | behold, the hand of the Lord shall be upon thy cattle in the fields, both on the horses, and on the asses, and on the camels and oxen and sheep, a very great mortality. |

| і розділить Господь [у той час] худобу ізраїльську і худобу єгипетську, і з усієї [худоби] синів Ізраїлевих не помре нічого. | And I will make a marvellous distinction in that time between the cattle of the Egyptians, and the cattle of the children of Israel: nothing shall die of all that is of the children's of Israel. |

| І призначив Господь час, сказавши: завтра зробить це Господь у землі цій. | And God fixed a limit, saying, To-morrow the Lord will do this thing on the land. |
|

|
| І зробив це Господь на другий день, і вимерла вся худоба єгипетська; з худоби ж синів Ізраїлевих не померло нічого. | And the Lord did this thing on the next day, and all the cattle of the Egyptians died, but of the cattle of the children of Israel there died not one. |

| Фараон послав дізнатися, і ось, з [усієї] худоби [синів] Ізраїлевих не померло нічого. Але серце фараонове озлобилося, і він не відпустив народ. | And when Pharao saw, that of all the cattle of the children of Israel there died not one, the heart of Pharao was hardened, and he did not let the people go. |

| І сказав Господь Мойсеєві й Аарону: візьміть по повній жмені попелу з печі, і нехай кине його Мойсей до неба на очах фараона [і рабів його]; | And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, Take you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses scatter it toward heaven before Pharao, and before his servants. |

| і здійметься курява по всій землі Єгипетській, і буде на людях і на худобі запалення з наривами, в усій землі Єгипетській. | And let it become dust over all the land of Egypt, and there shall be upon men and upon beasts sore blains breaking forth both on men and on beasts, in all the land of Egypt. |

| Вони взяли попіл з печі і постали перед лицем фараона. Мойсей кинув його до неба, і зробилося запалення з наривами на людях і на худобі. | So he took of the ashes of the furnace before Pharao, and Moses scattered it toward heaven, and it became sore blains breaking forth both on men and on beasts. |

| І не могли волхви устояти перед Мойсеєм через запалення, тому що запалення було на волхвах і на всіх єгиптянах. | And the sorcerers could not stand before Moses because of the sores, for the sores were on the sorcerers, and in all the land of Egypt. |

| Але Господь озлобив серце фараона, і він не послухав їх, як і говорив Господь Мойсеєві. | And the Lord hardened Pharao's heart, and he hearkened not to them, as the Lord appointed. |
|

|
| І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: завтра встань рано і з’явися перед лице фараона, і скажи йому: так говорить Господь, Бог євреїв: відпусти народ Мій, щоб він звершив Мені служіння; | And the Lord said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharao; and thou shalt say to him, These things saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Send away my people that they may serve me. |

| бо цього разу Я пошлю всі виразки Мої в серце твоє, і на рабів твоїх, і на народ твій, щоб ти дізнався, що немає подібного до Мене на всій землі; | For at this present time do I send forth all my plagues into thine heart, and the heart of thy servants and of thy people; that thou mayest know that there is not another such as I in all the earth. |

| якби Я простяг руку Мою, то вразив би тебе і народ твій виразкою, і ти знищений був би на землі: | For now I will stretch forth my hand and smite thee and kill thy people, and thou shalt be consumed from off the earth. |
|

|
| але для того Я зберіг тебе, щоб показати на тобі силу Мою, і щоб сповіщено було ім’я Моє по всій землі; | And for this purpose hast thou been preserved, that I might display in thee my strength, and that my name might be published in all the earth. |
|

|
| ти ще протистоїш народу Моєму, щоб не відпускати його, — | Dost thou then yet exert thyself to hinder my people, so as not to let them go? |
|

18
|
| ось, Я пошлю завтра, у цей самий час, град дуже сильний, якому подібного не було в Єгипті з дня заснування його донині; | Behold, to-morrow at this hour I will rain a very great hail, such as has not been in Egypt, from the time it was created until this day. |
|
19
|
19
|
| отже, пошли зібрати отари твої й усе, що є в тебе в полі: на всіх людей і худобу, що залишаться в полі і не зберуться в домах, упаде град, і вони помруть. | Now then hasten to gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the fields; for all the men and cattle as many as shall be found in the fields, and shall not enter into a house, (but the hail shall fall upon them,) shall die. |

| Ті з рабів фараонових, які убоялися слова Господнього, поспіхом зібрали рабів своїх і отари свої в доми; | He of the servants of Pharao that feared the word of the Lord, gathered his cattle into the houses. |
|

|
| а хто не звернув серця свого до слів Господа, той залишив рабів своїх і отари свої в полі. | And he that did not attend in his mind to the word of the Lord, left the cattle in the fields. |
|
22
|
22
|
| І сказав Господь Мойсеєві: простягни руку твою до неба, й упаде град на всю землю Єгипетську, на людей, на худобу і на всю траву польову в землі Єгипетській. | And the Lord said to Moses, Stretch out thine hand to heaven, and there shall be hail on all the land of Egypt, both on the men and on the cattle, and on all the herbage on the land. |

| І простяг Мойсей жезл свій до неба, і Господь зробив грім і град, і вогонь розливався по землі; і послав Господь град на [всю] землю Єгипетську; | And Moses stretched forth his hand to heaven, and the Lord sent thunderings and hail; and the fire ran along upon the ground, and the Lord rained hail on all the land of Egypt. |

| і був град і вогонь між градом, [град] дуже сильний, якого не було у всій землі Єгипетській з часу заселення її. | So there was hail and flaming fire mingled with hail; and the hail was very great, such as was not in Egypt, from the time there was a nation upon it. |
|

|
| І побив град по всій землі Єгипетській усе, що було в полі, від людини до худоби, і всю траву польову побив град, і всі дерева в полі поламав [град]; | And the hail smote in all the land of Egypt both man and beast, and the hail smote all the grass in the field, and the hail broke in pieces all the trees in the field. |

| тільки в землі Гесем, де жили сини Ізраїлеві, не було граду. | Only in the land of Gesem where the children of Israel were, the hail was not. |
|
27
|
27
|
| І послав фараон, і покликав Мойсея й Аарона, і сказав їм: цього разу я згрішив; Господь праведний, а я і народ мій винні; | And Pharao sent and called Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: the Lord is righteous, and I and my people are wicked. |
|

|
| помоліться [за мене] Господу: нехай припиняться громи Божі і град [і вогонь на землі], і відпущу вас і не буду більше затримувати. | Pray then for me to the Lord, and let him cause the thunderings of God to cease, and the hail and the fire, and I will send you forth and ye shall remain no longer. |

| Мойсей сказав йому: як тільки я вийду з міста, простягну руки мої до Господа [на небо], громи припиняться, і граду [і дощу] більше не буде, щоб ти пізнав, що Господня земля; | And Moses said to him, When I shall have departed from the city, I will stretch out my hands to the Lord, and the thunderings shall cease, and the hail and the rain shall be no longer, that thou mayest know that the earth is the Lord's. |

| але я знаю, що ти і раби твої ще не убоїтесь Господа Бога. | But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye have not yet feared the Lord. |

|
| Льон і ячмінь були побиті, тому що ячмінь виколосився, а льон засеменився; | And the flax and the barley were smitten, for the barley was advanced, and the flax was seeding. |
|

|
32
|
| а пшениця і жито не побиті, тому що вони були пізні. | But the wheat and the rye were not smitten, for they were late. |
|

|
| І вийшов Мойсей від фараона із міста і простяг руки свої до Господа, і припинилися грім і град, і дощ перестав литися на землю. | And Moses went forth from Pharao out of the city, and stretched out his hands to the Lord, and the thunders ceased and the hail, and the rain did not drop on the earth. |

| І побачив фараон, що перестав дощ і град і грім, і продовжував грішити, і обтяжив серце своє сам і раби його. | And when Pharao saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders ceased, he continued to sin; and he hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants. |
|

35
|
| І озлобилося серце фараона [і рабів його], і він не відпустив синів Ізраїлевих, як і говорив Господь через Мойсея. | And the heart of Pharao was hardened, and he did not send forth the children of Israel, as the Lord said to Moses. |
