| І було до мене слово Господнє: | And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, |

| сину людський! поверни лице твоє до гір Ізраїлевих і проречи на них, | Son of man, set thy face against the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them; |
|

|
| і скажи: гори Ізраїлеві! слухайте слово Господа Бога. Так говорить Господь Бог горам і пагорбам, долинам і лощинам: ось, Я наведу на вас меч, і зруйную висоти ваші; | and thou shalt say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord; thus saith the Lord to the mountains, and to the hills, and to the valleys, and to the forests; Behold, I bring a sword upon you, and your high places shall be utterly destroyed. |

| і жертовники ваші будуть спустошені, стовпи ваші на честь сонця будуть розбиті, і повалю убитих ваших перед ідолами вашими; | And your altars shall be broken to pieces, and your consecrated plats; and I will cast down your slain men before your idols. |

| і покладу трупи синів Ізраїлевих перед ідолами їхніми, і розсиплю кістки ваші навколо жертовників ваших. | And I will scatter your bones round about your altars, |

| У всіх місцях вашого мешкання міста́ будуть спустошені й висоти зруйновані, для того, щоб спустошені і зруйновані були жертовники ваші, щоб розтрощені і знищені були ідоли ваші, й розбиті сонячні стовпи ваші, і згладилися витвори ваші. | and in all your habitations: the cities shall be made desolate, and the high places utterly laid waste; that your altars may be destroyed, and your idols be broken to pieces, and your consecrated plats be abolished. |

| Й будуть падати серед вас убиті, і пізнаєте, що Я Господь. | And slain men shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the Lord. |

| Але Я збережу залишок, так що будуть у вас серед народів такі, які вціліли від меча, коли ви будете розсіяні по землях. | When there are some of you escaping from the sword among the Gentiles, and when ye are scattered in the countries; |

| І згадають про Мене вцілілі ваші серед народів, куди будуть відведені у полон, коли Я скрушу блудне серце їх, що відпало від Мене, і очі їхні, що блудили вслід ідолам; і вони до самих себе відчують огиду за те зло, яке вони робили в усіх мерзотах своїх; | then they of you that escape among the nations whither they were carried captive shall remember me; (I have sworn an oath against their heart that goes a-whoring from me, and their eyes that go a-whoring after their practices;) and they shall mourn over themselves for all their abominations. |

| і пізнають, що Я Господь; не даремно говорив Я, що наведу на них таку біду. | And they shall know that I the Lord have spoken. |

| Так говорить Господь Бог: сплесни руками твоїми і тупни ногою твоєю, і скажи: горе за всі мерзенні злодіяння дому Ізраїлевого! упадуть вони від меча, голоду і моровиці. | Thus saith the Lord; Clap with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot and say, Aha, aha! for all the abominations of the house of Israel: they shall fall by the sword, and by pestilence, and by famine. |

| Хто далеко, той помре від моровиці; а хто близько, той упаде від меча; а хто залишився й уцілів, помре від голоду; так звершу над ними гнів Мій. | He that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that is far off shall die by the pestilence; and he that is in the siege shall be consumed with famine: and I will accomplish mine anger upon them. |

| І пізнаєте, що Я Господь, коли уражені будуть лежати між ідолами своїми навколо жертовників їх, на всякому високому пагорбі, на всіх вершинах гір і під усяким зеленим деревом, і під усяким гіллястим дубом, на тому місці, де вони приносили запашні куріння всім ідолам своїм. | Then ye shall know that I am the Lord, when your slain are in the midst of your idols round about your altars, on every high hill, and under every shady tree, where they offered a sweet savour to all their idols. |

| І простягну на них руку Мою, і зроблю землю пустелею і степом, від пустелі Дивлаф, у всіх місцях проживання їх, і пізнають, що Я Господь. | And I will stretch out my hand against them, and I will make the land desolate and ruined from the wilderness of Deblatha, in all their habitations: and ye shall know that I am the Lord. |
