І було до мене слово Господнє:
|
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
|

|
сину людський! поверни лице твоє до гори Сеїр і проречи на неї пророцтво
|
Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
|
|

|

|
|
і скажи їй: так говорить Господь Бог: ось, Я — на тебе, горо Сеїр! і простягну на тебе руку Мою і зроблю тебе порожньою і безлюдною.
|
and say to it, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and will make thee a waste, and thou shalt be made desolate.
|

|
Міста твої перетворю на руїни, і ти сама спустієш і пізнаєш, що Я Господь.
|
And I will cause desolation in thy cities, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
|
|

|
|
Оскільки у тебе вічна ворожнеча, і ти віддавала синів Ізраїлевих до рук меча під час нещастя їх, під час остаточної загибелі:
|
Because thou hast been a perpetual enemy, and hast laid wait craftily for the house of Israel, with the hand of enemies with a sword, in the time of injustice, at the last:
|

|
за це — живу Я! — говорить Господь Бог, — зроблю тебе кров’ю, і кров буде переслідувати тебе; оскільки ти не ненавиділа крови, то кров і буде переслідувати тебе.
|
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, verily thou hast sinned even to blood, therefore blood shall pursue thee.
|

|
І зроблю гору Сеїр порожнім і безлюдним степом і знищу на ній того, хто приходить, і того, хто повертається.
|
And I will make mount Seir a waste, and desolate, and I will destroy from off it men and cattle:
|

|
|
І наповню висоти її вбитими її; на пагорбах твоїх і в долинах твоїх, і в усіх рівчаках твоїх будуть падати убиті мечем.
|
and I will fill thy hills and thy valleys with slain men, and in all thy plains there shall fall in thee men slain with the sword.
|

|
Зроблю тебе пустелею вічною, і в містах твоїх не будуть жити, і пізнають, що Я Господь.
|
I will make thee a perpetual desolation, and thy cities shall not be inhabited any more: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
|
|

|
|
Оскільки ти говорила: ці два народи і ці дві землі будуть мої, і ми заволодіємо ними, хоч і Господь був там»:
|
Because thou saidst, The two nations and the two countries shall be mine, and I shall inherit them; whereas the Lord is there:
|

|
за те, — живу Я! — говорить Господь Бог, — зроблю з тобою за мірою ненависти твоєї і заздрости твоєї, яку ти виявила з ненависти твоєї до них, і явлю Себе їм, коли буду судити тебе.
|
therefore, as I live, saith the Lord, I will even deal with thee according to thine enmity, and I will be made known to thee when I shall judge thee:

І пізнаєш, що Я, Господь, чув усі знущання твої, які ти промовляла на гори Ізраїлеві, говорячи: «спустіли! нам віддані на поживу!»
|
and thou shalt know that I am the Lord. I have heard the voice of thy blasphemies, whereas thou hast said, The desert mountains of Israel are given to us for food;
|

|
Ви величалися переді Мною язиком вашим і множили промови ваші проти Мене; Я чув це.
|
and thou hast spoken swelling words against me with thy mouth: I have heard them.
|
|

|
|
Так говорить Господь Бог: коли вся земля буде радіти, Я зроблю тебе пустелею.
|
Thus saith the Lord; When all the earth is rejoicing, I will make thee desert.
|
|
15
|
15
|
|
Як ти раділа тому, що наділ дому Ізраїлевого спустів, так зроблю Я і з тобою: спустошена будеш, горо Сеїр, і вся Ідумея разом, і пізнають, що Я Господь.
|
Thou shalt be desert, O mount Seir, and all Idumea; and it shall be utterly consumed: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord their God.
