|
| Після цього пішов Ісус на той бік Тиверіадського моря в Галилеї. | After these things Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. |

|
| За Ним ішло багато народу, бо бачили чудеса, які Він творив над недужими. | And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his signs which he did on them that were sick. |
|

|
| Ісус зійшов на гору і сидів там з учениками Своїми. | And Jesus went up into the mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. |
|

|
4
|
| Наближалася ж Пасха, юдейське свято. | Now the passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. |
|

|
5
|
| Ісус, звівши очі і побачивши, що багато народу йде до Нього, говорить Филипові: за що нам купити хлібів, щоб їх нагодувати? | Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude cometh unto him, saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? |

| Говорив же це, випробовуючи його, бо Сам знав, що хотів зробити. | And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. |
|

| Филип відповів Йому: і на двісті динаріїв не вистачить хліба, щоб кожний з них хоч трохи одержав. | Philip answered him, Two hundred denarii’ worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take some little portion. |
|

|
| Один з учеників Його, Андрій, брат Симона-Петра, говорить Йому: | One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him, |
|

|
9
|
| тут є один юнак, який має п’ять хлібів ячмінних і дві рибини; але що то на таку безліч? | There is one lad here, who hath five barley loaves, and two fish: but what are these among so many? |
|

|
| Ісус сказав: звеліть людям сісти. Було ж на тому місці багато трави. Отже, сіло людей близько п’яти тисяч. | And Jesus said, Make the people sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. |
|

|
| Ісус, взявши хліби і воздавши хвалу, роздав ученикам, а ученики — тим, що сиділи, також і риби, скільки хто хотів. | And Jesus took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; likewise also of the fish as much as they would. |

| І коли наситилися, то сказав ученикам Своїм: зберіть залишки, щоб нічого не пропало. | And when they were filled, he saith unto his disciples, Gather up the broken pieces which remain over, that nothing be lost. |
|

|
| І зібрали, і наповнили дванадцять кошиків залишками від п’яти ячмінних хлібів, що їли. | So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which remained over unto them that had eaten. |
|

|
| Тоді люди, побачивши, яке чудо сотворив Ісус, сказали: це воістину Той Пророк, Який має прийти у світ. | When therefore the people saw the sign which Jesus did, they said, This is of a truth the prophet that cometh into the world. |
|

|
| Ісус же, дізнавшись, що хочуть прийти, несподівано взяти Його і зробити царем, знову пішов на гору один. | Jesus therefore perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew into the mountain himself alone. |
|

|
| Коли ж настав вечір, то ученики Його зійшли до моря. | And when evening came, his disciples went down unto the sea; |
|

|

|
| І, сівши в човен, попливли на другий бік моря до Капернаума. Було вже темно, а Ісус не приходив до них. | and they entered into the boat, and were going over the sea unto Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them. |
|

|
18
|
| Дув сильний вітер, і море хвилювалося. | And the sea was rising by reason of a great wind that blew. |
|

19
|
| Пропливши стадій близько двадцяти п’яти чи тридцяти*, вони побачили Ісуса, Який ішов по морю і вже наближався до човна, і злякались. | When therefore they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the boat: and they were afraid. |

| Але Він сказав їм: це Я, не бійтеся. | But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid. |
|

|
| Вони хотіли взяти Його в човен; і у ту ж мить човен пристав до берега, куди пливли. | They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat: and straightaway the boat was at the land whither they were going. |
|

|
| Наступного дня народ, який стояв по той бік моря, бачив, що іншого човна не було там, крім того, в який увійшли ученики Його, і що Ісус не входив у човен з учениками Своїми, а відпливли одні ученики Його. | On the morrow, when the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other little boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples had entered, and that Jesus entered not with his disciples into the little boat, but that his disciples went away alone |

| Тим часом прийшли з Тиверіади інші човни до того місця, де їли хліб за благословенням Господнім. | (howbeit there came other little boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks): |

|
| Коли ж люди побачили, що тут немає ні Ісуса, ні учеників Його, то посідали в човни і попливли до Капернаума, шукаючи Ісуса. | when the multitude therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they themselves gat into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. |

| І, знайшовши Його по той бік моря, сказали Йому: Учителю, коли Ти прибув сюди? | And when they found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? |
|

|
| Ісус сказав їм у відповідь: істинно, істинно кажу вам: ви шукаєте Мене не тому, що бачили чудеса, а тому, що їли хліб і наситились. | Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled. |

| Дбайте не про їжу тлінну, а про їжу, яка залишається на життя вічне, яку дасть вам Син Людський, бо назнаменував Його Отець, Бог. | Work not for the food which perisheth, but for the food which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him the Father, even God, hath sealed. |

| Вони сказали Йому: що нам робити, щоб чинити діла Божі? | They said therefore unto him, What must we do, that we may work the works of God? |

|
| Ісус сказав їм у відповідь: ось діло Боже, щоб ви увірували в Того, Кого Він послав. | Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. |
|

|
30
|
| На це вони сказали Йому: яке ж знамення Ти створиш, щоб ми побачили і увірували в Тебе? Що Ти чиниш? | They said therefore unto him, What then doest thou for a sign, that we may see, and believe thee? what workest thou? |
|

|
| Батьки наші їли манну в пустелі, як написано: хліб з неба дав їм їсти. | Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat. |
|

|

|
| Ісус же сказав їм: істинно, істинно кажу вам: не Мойсей дав вам хліб з неба, але Отець Мій дає вам істинний хліб з небес. | Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, It is not Moses that hath given you the bread out of heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread out of heaven. |

| Бо хліб Божий є той, який сходить з небес і дає життя світові. | For the bread of God is that which cometh down out of heaven, and giveth life unto the world. |

|
| На це сказали Йому: Господи! Завжди давай нам хліб цей. | They said therefore unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. |
|

|
35
|
| Ісус сказав їм: Я є хліб життя; хто приходить до Мене, не відчуватиме голоду, і хто вірує в Мене, ніколи не матиме спраги. | And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. |

| Але Я вам сказав, що ви хоч і бачили Мене, та не віруєте. | But I said unto you, that ye have seen me, and yet believe not. |
|

|
| Усе, що дає Мені Отець, до Мене прийде; і того, хто приходить до Мене, Я не вижену геть. | All that which the Father giveth me shall come unto me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. |
|
38
|
38
|
| Бо Я зійшов з небес не для того, щоб творити волю Мою, а волю Отця, Який послав Мене. | For I am come down out of heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. |
|
39
|
39
|
| Воля ж Отця, Який послав Мене, є та, щоб з усього, що Він дав Мені, нічого не погубити, а все те воскресити в останній день. | And this is the will of the Father that sent me, that of all that which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. |
|
40
|
40
|
| Воля Того, Хто послав Мене, є та, щоб кожен, хто бачить Сина і вірує в Нього, мав життя вічне; і Я воскрешу його в останній день. | And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. |

| Ремствували на Нього юдеї за те, що Він казав: Я є хліб, який зійшов з небес. | The Jews therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, I am the bread which came down out of heaven. |
|

|
| І говорили: чи це не Ісус, син Йосифів, батька і матір Якого ми знаємо? Як же говорить Він: Я зійшов з небес? | And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how then doth he say, I am come down out of heaven? |
|

|
| Ісус сказав їм у відповідь: не ремствуйте між собою. | Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. |
|

|

|
| Ніхто не може прийти до Мене, якщо Отець, Який послав Мене, не залучить його; і Я воскрешу його в останній день. | No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day. |
|
45
|
45
|
| У пророків написано: і будуть усі навчені Богом. Кожен, хто чув Отця і навчився, приходить до Мене. | It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught of God. Everyone therefore that heareth from the Father, and hath learned, cometh unto me. |
|

|
| Це не значить, що хтось бачив Отця, хіба лише Той, Хто від Бога; Він бачив Отця. | Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he that is from God, he hath seen the Father. |
|
47
|
47
|
| Істинно, істинно кажу вам: хто вірує в Мене, має життя вічне. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath eternal life. |
|

|
48
|
| Я є хліб життя. | I am the bread of life. |
|
49
|

|
| Батьки ваші їли манну в пустелі — й померли. | Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. |
|
50
|
50
|
| Це ж є хліб, який сходить з небес, той, хто його їсть, не помре. | This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. |
|
51
|
51
|
| Я — хліб живий, який зійшов з небес; хто їсть цей хліб, житиме вічно; хліб же, який Я дам, є Плоть Моя, яку Я віддам за життя світу. | I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. |

| Тоді юдеї почали сперечатися між собою, кажучи: як Він може дати нам Плоть Свою їсти? | The Jews therefore strove one with another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? |
|

|
| Ісус же сказав їм: істинно, істинно кажу вам: якщо не будете споживати Плоті Сина Людського і не питимете Його Крови, то не будете мати життя в собі. | Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves. |

| Хто їсть Мою Плоть і п’є Мою Кров, має життя вічне, і Я воскрешу його в останній день. | He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. |
|

|
| Бо Плоть Моя є істинною їжею, і Кров Моя є істинним питтям. | For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. |
|

|
| Хто їсть Мою Плоть і п’є Мою Кров, в Мені перебуває, і Я в ньому. | He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him. |
|
57
|
57
|
| Як послав Мене Живий Отець, — і Я живу Отцем, — так і той, хто їсть Мене, житиме через Мене. | As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he that eateth me, he also shall live because of me. |
|

|
58
|
| Цей і є хліб, який зійшов з небес. Не так, як батьки ваші їли манну і померли; хто їсть хліб цей, житиме повік. | This is the bread which came down out of heaven: not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; he that eateth this bread shall live forever. |
|

|
| Це Він говорив, навчаючи у синагозі, в Капернаумі. | These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. |
|

|
60
|
| Багато хто з учеників Його, слухаючи те, говорили: жорстоке це слово! Хто може це слухати? | Many therefore of his disciples, when they heard this, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it? |
|

|
| Але Ісус, знаючи Сам у Собі, що ученики Його ремствують на те, сказав їм: чи це спокушає вас? | But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said unto them, Doth this cause you to stumble? |
|

|
62
|
| А що ж, коли побачите Сина Людського, Який возноситься туди, де був раніш? | What then if ye should behold the Son of man ascending where he was before? |
|
63
|
63
|
| Дух оживляє; плоть аніскільки не допомагає. | It is the spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you are spirit, and are life. |
|
64
|
64
|
| Але є між вами деякі, що не вірують. Бо Ісус знав з самого початку, хто не вірує і хто зрадить Його. | But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who it was that should betray him. |
|
65
|
65
|
| І сказав: Я для того і говорив вам, що ніхто не може прийти до Мене, якщо те не буде дано йому від Отця Мого. | And he said, For this cause have I said unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it be given unto him of my Father. |
|

|
| Відтоді багато з учеників Його відійшли від Нього і вже з Ним не ходили. | Upon this many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. |
|

|
67
|
| Тоді Ісус сказав дванадцятьом: чи не хочете відійти і ви? | Jesus said therefore unto the twelve, Would ye also go away? |
|
68
|
68
|
| Симон-Петро відповів Йому: Господи, до кого нам іти? Ти маєш слова життя вічного, | Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. |
|
69
|
69
|
| і ми увірували і пізнали, що Ти Христос, Син Бога Живого. | And we have believed and know that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. |
|
70
|
70
|
| Ісус відповів їм: чи не дванадцять Я обрав вас? Але один з вас є диявол. | He answered them, Did not I choose you the twelve, and one of you is a devil? |
|
71
|
71
|
| Це говорив Він про Іуду Симонового Іскаріота, бо той мав зрадити Його, хоч був одним з дванадцятьох. | Now he spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon, for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve. |
