Ісус же пішов на гору Елеонську.
|
but Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
|

|
|
А вранці знову прийшов у храм, і весь народ ішов до Нього. Він сів і навчав їх.
|
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came; and he sat down, and taught them.
|
|

|
|
Приводять книжники і фарисеї до Нього жінку, схоплену під час перелюбу, і, поставивши її посередині, кажуть Йому:
|
And the scribes and the Pharisees bring unto him a woman taken in adultery; and having set her in the midst,
|
|

|
4
|
|
Учителю, цю жінку взяли нині на перелюбі;
|
they say unto him, trying him, Teacher, this woman hath been taken in adultery, in the very act.
|
|

|
|
а Мойсей в законі повелів нам побивати таких камінням; а Ти що скажеш?
|
Now in the law Moses commanded us that such should be stoned: what then sayest thou?
|
|

|
|
Говорили ж це, спокушаючи Його, щоб знайти, за що Його звинуватити. Але Ісус, нахилившись додолу, пальцем писав по землі, не звертаючи на них уваги.
|
And this they said, trying him, that they might have whereof to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, taking no notice.
|

|
Коли ж продовжували запитувати Його, Він, підвівшись, сказав їм: хто з вас без гріха, перший кинь у неї камінь.
|
But when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
|

|
|
І знов, нахилившись додолу, писав на землі.
|
And again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
|
|

|
|
Вони ж, почувши це, докорені совістю, почали виходити один за одним, починаючи від старших до останніх; і залишився один Ісус і жінка, яка стояла посередині.
|
And they, when they heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the eldest: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the midst.
|

|
Ісус, підвівшись і нікого не побачивши, крім жінки, сказав їй: жінко! Де ті, що звинувачували тебе? Ніхто тебе не осудив?
|
And when Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Where are those thine accusers? did no man condemn thee?
|

|
Вона відповіла: ніхто, Господи. Ісус сказав їй: і Я не осуджую тебе; іди, і віднині більше не гріши.
|
And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said, Neither do I judge thee: go thy way, and sin no more.
|
|

|
Ісус знову говорив до народу, кажучи: Я — Світло для світу; хто піде вслід за Мною, той не ходитиме в темряві, а матиме світло життя.
|
Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.
|

|
Тоді фарисеї сказали Йому: Ти Сам про Себе свідчиш, і свідчення Твоє неправдиве.
|
The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest witness of thyself; thy witness is not true.
|
|

|
|
Ісус сказав їм у відповідь: якщо і Сам про Себе свідчу, свідчення Моє правдиве, бо Я знаю, звідки прийшов і куди йду; а ви не знаєте, звідки Я і куди йду.
|
Jesus answered and said unto them, Even if I bear witness of myself, my witness is true; for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye know not whence I come, and whither I go.
|

|
Ви судите за плоттю; а Я не суджу нікого.
|
Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.
|
|

|
|
А якщо і суджу Я, то суд Мій праведний, бо Я не один, а Я і Отець, Який Мене послав.
|
Yea and if I judge, my judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.
|
|

|
|
У законі вашому написано, що свідчення двох людей є правдиве.
|
Yea and in your law it is written, that the witness of two men is true.
|
|

|
|
Я Сам свідчу про Себе, і свідчить про Мене Отець, Який Мене послав.
|
I am he that beareth witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
|
|

|
|
Тоді сказали Йому: де Твій Отець? Ісус відповів: ви не знаєте ні Мене, ні Отця Мого; якби ви знали Мене, то знали б і Отця Мого.
|
They said therefore unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me, nor my Father: if ye knew me, ye would know my Father also.
|

|
Ці слова говорив Ісус біля скарбниці, коли навчав у храмі; і ніхто не взяв Його, бо ще не прийшов час Його.
|
These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man took him; because his hour was not yet come.
|

|
|
Знову сказав їм Ісус: Я відходжу, і будете шукати Мене, і помрете в гріху вашому. Куди Я йду, туди ви не можете прийти.
|
Jesus said therefore again unto them, I go away, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sin: whither I go, ye cannot come.
|

|
Говорили ж юдеї: невже Він уб’є Сам Себе, що каже: куди Я іду, ви не можете прийти?
|
The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself, that he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come?
|
|

|
|
Він сказав їм: ви від нижніх, Я ж від вишніх; ви від світу цього, Я ж не від цього світу.
|
And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
|
|

|
|
Тому Я сказав вам, що ви помрете в гріхах ваших. Бо якщо не увіруєте, що це Я, то помрете в гріхах ваших.
|
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for except ye believe that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
|
|

|
|
Тоді сказали Йому: Хто ж Ти? Ісус відповів їм: Початок всього, що й кажу вам.
|
They said therefore unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus said unto them, Even that which I have also spoken unto you from the beginning.
|
|

|
|
Багато чого маю говорити і судити про вас, але Той, Хто послав Мене, істинний є, і що почув Я від Нього, те й кажу світові.
|
I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you: howbeit he that sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these say I unto the world.
|
|

|
|
Не зрозуміли, що Він говорив їм про Отця.
|
They perceived not that he spake to them of the Father.
|
|

|
|
Сказав же їм Ісус: коли піднесете Сина Людського, тоді зрозумієте, що це Я, і що нічого не роблю від Себе, а як навчив Мене Отець Мій, так і говорю.
|
Jesus therefore said unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I speak these things.
|

|
Той, Хто послав Мене, є зі Мною; Отець не залишив Мене одного, бо Я завжди роблю угодне Йому.
|
And he that sent me is with me; the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always the things that are pleasing to him.
|

|
|
Коли Він це говорив, багато хто увірував у Нього.
|
As he spake these things, many believed on him.
|
|

|
|
Тоді Ісус сказав юдеям, які увірували в Нього: якщо будете перебувати в слові Моєму, то ви істинно будете Моїми учениками;
|
Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples;
|
|

|
32
|
|
і пізнаєте істину, і істина визволить вас.
|
and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
|
|

|
|
Йому відповіли: ми рід Авраамів, і ніколи не були рабами нікому, як же Ти кажеш: станете вільними?
|
They answered him, We are Abraham’s seed, and have never yet been in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
|
|

|
Ісус відповів їм: істинно, істинно кажу вам, що кожен, хто чинить гріх, є раб гріха.
|
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Everyone that committeth sin is the bondservant of sin.
|
|

|
|
Але раб не перебуває в домі вічно, а Син перебуває вічно.
|
And the bondservant abideth not in the house forever: the son abideth forever.
|
|

|
|
Отже, якщо Син визволить вас, то справді будете вільними.
|
If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
|
|

|
|
Знаю, що ви рід Авраамів, однак шукаєте, як вбити Мене, бо слово Моє не вміщається у вас.
|
I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; yet ye seek to kill me, because my word hath not free course in you.
|

|
|
Я говорю те, що бачив у Отця Мого; і ви робите те, що бачили в отця вашого.
|
I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye then do that which ye have seen with your father.
|
|

|
|
Сказали Йому у відповідь: отець наш є Авраам. Ісус сказав їм: якби ви були дітьми Авраама, то чинили б діла Авраамові.
|
They answered and said unto him, Our father is Abraham. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

|
Нині ж шукаєте, як вбити Мене, Чоловіка, Який сповістив вам правду, почуту від Бога; Авраам цього не робив.
|
But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I heard from God: this did not Abraham.
|

|
Ви робите діла отця вашого. На це сказали Йому: ми не від любодійства народжені; маємо одного Отця — Бога.
|
Ye do the works of your father. They said therefore unto him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
|
|

|
|
Ісус сказав їм: якби Бог був Отець ваш, то ви любили б Мене, тому що Я вийшов і прийшов від Бога; бо Я не Сам від Себе прийшов, а Він послав Мене.
|
Jesus therefore said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I came forth and am come from God; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me.

|
Чому ви не розумієте Моїх слів? Тому що не можете чути слова Мого.
|
Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word.
|
|

|
|
Ваш батько є диявол; і ви хочете виконувати похоті батька вашого. Він людиновбивцею був споконвіку і не стоїть в істині, бо істини немає в ньому. Коли він говорить неправду, від себе говорить, бо він неправдомовець і батько неправди.
|
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.

|
А коли Я істину говорю, то не вірите Мені.
|
But because I say the truth, ye believe me not.
|
|

|
|
Хто з вас викриє Мене у гріху? Якщо ж Я говорю істину, то чому ви не вірите Мені?
|
Which of you convicteth me of sin? And if I say truth, why do ye not believe me?
|
|

|
|
Хто від Бога, той слова Божі слухає; ви тому не слухаєте, що ви не від Бога.
|
He that is of God heareth the words of God: for this cause ye hear them not, because ye are not of God.
|
|

|
|
На це юдеї сказали Йому у відповідь: чи не правду ми говоримо, що Ти самарянин і що біс у Тобі?
|
The Jews therefore answered and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a demon?
|
|

|
|
Ісус відповів: у Мені біса нема, але Я шаную Отця Мого, а ви зневажаєте Мене.
|
Jesus answered, I have not a demon; but I honor my Father, and ye dishonor me.
|
|

|
|
А втім, Я не шукаю слави Моєї; є Той, Хто шукає і судить.
|
But I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
|
|

|
|
Істинно, істинно кажу вам: хто слово Моє збереже, той не побачить смерти повік.
|
Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my word, he shall never see death.
|
|

|

|
|
Юдеї сказали Йому: тепер ми зрозуміли, що біс у Тобі. Авраам і пророки померли, а Ти кажеш, що хто слово Моє збереже, той не зазнає смерти повік.
|
The Jews therefore said unto him, Now we know that thou hast a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my word, he shall never taste of death.

|
Невже Ти більший від отця нашого Авраама, який помер?
|
Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who died? and the prophets died: whom makest thou thyself?
|

|
Ісус відповів: якщо Я Сам Себе славлю, то слава Моя ніщо. Мене прославляє Отець Мій, про Якого ви говорите, що Він Бог ваш.
|
Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father that glorifieth me; of whom ye say, He is our God;
|

|
І ви не пізнали Його, а Я знаю Його; і якщо скажу, що не знаю Його, то буду подібним до вас неправдомовцем. Але Я знаю Його і слово Його зберігаю.
|
and ye have not known him: but I know him; and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be like unto you, a liar: but I know him, and keep his word.
|

|
Авраам, отець ваш, був би радий побачити день Мій; і побачив, і зрадів.
|
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; and he saw it, and was glad.
|
|

|
|
На це сказали Йому юдеї: Тобі немає ще й п’ятдесяти років, і Ти бачив Авраама?
|
The Jews therefore said unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
|
|

|
|
Ісус сказав їм: істинно, істинно кажу вам: раніш, ніж був Авраам, Я є.
|
Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was born, I am.
|
|

|
|
Тоді взяли каміння, щоб кинути на Нього; але Ісус сховався і вийшов з храму, пройшовши посеред них, і пішов далі.
|
They took up stones therefore to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
