Глава 4	Chapter 4

1	1
Ісус же, сповнений Духа Святого, повернувся від Йордану і поведений був Духом у пустелю.	And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led in the Spirit into the wilderness

Там сорок днів він був спокушуваний дияволом і нічого не їв у ті дні, і по їх закінченні наостанку зголоднів.	during forty days, being tempted of the devil. And he did eat nothing in those days: and when they were completed, he afterward hungered.

І сказав Йому диявол: якщо Ти Син Божий, то звели каменю цьому, щоб став хлібом.	And the devil said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it become bread.

Ісус відповів йому: написано, що не хлібом єдиним житиме людина, але всяким словом Божим.	And Jesus answered unto him, saying, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

І, вивівши Його на високу гору, диявол показав Йому всі царства світу в одну мить.	And the devil, leading him up into a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

І сказав Йому диявол: Тобі дам усю оцю владу над усіми цими царствами і славу їх, бо вона мені передана, і я кому схочу, даю її.	And the devil said unto him, To thee will I give all this authority, and the glory of them: for it hath been delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Отже, якщо Ти поклонишся мені, то все буде Твоє.	If thou therefore wilt worship before me, it shall all be thine.

Ісус сказав йому у відповідь: відійди від Мене, сатано; написано: Господу Богу твоєму поклоняйся і Йому Єдиному служи.	And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

І повів Його до Єрусалима, і поставив Його на крилі храму, і сказав Йому: якщо Ти Син Божий, кинься звідси вниз.	And he led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

Бо написано: ангелам Своїм заповість про Тебе зберегти Тебе;	for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to guard thee:
11	11
і на руках понесуть Тебе, щоб не спіткнувся об камінь ногою Твоєю.	and, On their hands they shall bear thee up, Lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Ісус відповів йому: сказано: не спокушай Господа Бога твого.	And Jesus answered and said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God.

І, закінчивши всі спокушання, диявол відійшов від Нього до часу.	And when the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him for a season.
14	14
І повернувся Ісус в силі духу до Галилеї; і рознеслася чутка про Нього по всьому краю.	And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and a fame went out concerning him through all the region round about.
15	15
Він навчав у синагогах їхніх, і всі Його славили.	And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
16	16
І прийшов у Назарет, де був вихований, і увійшов, за звичаєм Своїм, в день суботній у синагогу і став, щоб читати.	And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and he entered, as his custom was, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read.

Йому подали книгу пророка Ісаї; і Він, розгорнувши книгу, знайшов місце, де було написано:	And there was delivered unto him the book of Isaiah the prophet. And he unrolled the book, and found the place where it was written,

Дух Господній на Мені; бо Він помазав Мене благовістити убогим, і послав Мене зціляти розбитих серцем, проповідувати полоненим визволення, сліпим прозріння, відпустити замучених на волю,	The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,

проповідувати літо Господнє сприятливе.	To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

І, згорнувши книгу і віддавши служителю, сів, і очі всіх у синагозі були звернені до Нього.	And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21	21
І Він почав говорити їм: нині справдилося писання, яке ви почули.	And he began to say unto them, Today hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears.
22	22
І всі свідчили Йому. І дивувалися словам благодаті, що виходили з уст Його, і говорили: чи ж не Йосифів це син?	And all bare him witness, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded out of his mouth: and they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?

Він сказав їм: напевно, ви скажете Мені приказку: лікарю, зцілися Сам, зроби і тут, на Твоїй батьківщині, те, що, ми чули, було в Капернаумі.	And he said unto them, Doubtless ye will say unto me this parable, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thine own country.

І сказав: істинно кажу вам: ніякого пророка не приймають на батьківщині своїй.	And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is acceptable in his own country.

По правді ж кажу вам, багато вдів було в Ізраїлі у дні Іллі, коли небо замкнулося на три роки і шість місяців, так що настав великий голод по всій землі,	But of a truth I say unto you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when there came a great famine over all the land;

і до жодної з них не був посланий Ілля, а тільки в Сарепту сидонську, до жінки-вдови.	and unto none of them was Elijah sent, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.

І багато також було прокажених в Ізраїлі за пророка Єлисея, і жоден з них не очистився, тільки Неєман-сирієць.	And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.

І сповнились усі гнівом у синагозі, почувши це.	And they were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things;

І, вставши, вигнали Його геть з міста і повели на вершину гори, на якій було збудоване їхнє місто, щоб скинути Його.	and they rose up, and cast him forth out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might throw him down headlong.

Він же, пройшовши серед них, відійшов.	But he passing through the midst of them went his way.

І прийшов у Капернаум, місто галилейське, і навчав їх по суботах.	And he came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And he was teaching them on the sabbath day:

І дивувалися вченню Його, бо слово Його мало владу.	and they were astonished at his teaching; for his word was with authority.

Був у синагозі чоловік, що мав духа нечистого, і він закричав гучним голосом:	And in the synagogue there was a man, that had a spirit of an unclean demon; and he cried out with a loud voice,

облиш, що Тобі до нас, Ісусе Назарянине? Ти прийшов погубити нас; знаю Тебе, хто Ти, Святий Божий.	saying, Ah! what have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
35	35
Ісус заборонив йому, сказавши: замовкни і вийди з нього. І біс, кинувши його посередині синагоги, вийшов з нього, нітрохи не зашкодивши йому.	And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst, he came out of him, having done him no hurt.

І усіх охопив жах, і питали один одного, кажучи: що це за слово, що з владою і силою наказує нечистим духам, і вони виходять?	And amazement came upon all, and they spake together, one with another, saying, What is this word, that with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out?

І розійшлася чутка про Нього по всіх місцях того краю.	And there went forth a rumor concerning him into every place of the region round about.

Вийшовши з синагоги, Він увійшов у дім Симонів; теща ж Симонова була в сильній гарячці; і благали Його за неї.	And he rose up out of the synagogue, and entered into the house of Simon. And Simon’s wife’s mother was holden with a great fever; and they besought him for her.

Підійшовши до неї, Він заборонив гарячці; і покинула її. Вона відразу ж встала і слугувала їм.	And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she rose up and ministered unto them.
40	40
Коли ж заходило сонце, всі, хто тільки мав хворих на різні недуги, приводили їх до Нього, і Він, покладаючи на кожного з них руки, зціляв їх.	And when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with diverse diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41	41
Виходили також і біси з багатьох, викрикуючи і кажучи: Ти Христос, Син Божий. А Він забороняв їм казати, що вони знають, що Він Христос.	And demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, Thou art the Christ, the Son of God. And rebuking them, he suffered them not to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

А як настав день, Він, вийшовши з дому, пішов у безлюдне місце, а люди шукали Його і, прийшовши до Нього, затримували Його, щоб не йшов від них.	And when it was day, he came out and went into a desert place: and the multitudes sought after him, and came unto him, and would have stayed him, that he should not go from them.

Він же сказав їм: і іншим містам Мені належить благовістити Царство Боже, бо на те Я посланий.	But he said unto them, I must preach the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also: for to this end am I sent.

І проповідував у синагогах галилейських.	And he was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
