Глава 13	Chapter 13

У той час деякі прийшли і розповіли про галилеян, кров яких Пилат змішав з жертвами їхніми.	Now there were some present at that very season who told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

У відповідь Ісус сказав їм: чи думаєте ви, що ці галилеяни були грішніші за всіх галилеян, що так постраждали?	And Jesus answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they have suffered such things?

Ні, кажу вам; але, якщо не покаєтесь, усі так само загинете.	I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Або думаєте, що ті вісімнадцять, на яких упала башта Силоамська і побила їх, були винні більше за всіх, що живуть в Єрусалимі?	Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?

Ні, кажу вам; але, якщо не покаєтесь, усі так само загинете.	I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish.

І сказав оцю притчу: один чоловік мав у своєму винограднику посаджену смоковницю, і прийшов шукати плоду на ній і не знайшов.	And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.

І сказав виноградареві: ось третій рік я приходжу шукати плоду на цій смоковниці і не знаходжу; зрубай її, навіщо вона і землю займає?	And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?

Але той сказав йому у відповідь: господарю, залиш її і на цей рік, поки я обкопаю її і підсиплю гноєм.	And answering, he saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

Можливо, дасть вона плід; а якщо ні, наступного року зрубаєш її.	and if it bear fruit, well; but if not, thereafter thou shalt cut it down.

В одній із синагог Він навчав у суботу.	And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath day.

Там була жінка, що мала духа немочі років вісімнадцять: вона була скорчена і ніяк не могла випростатись.	And behold, there was a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed together, and could in no wise lift herself up.

Ісус, побачивши її, покликав і сказав їй: жінко, ти звільнена від твоєї недуги.	And when Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

І поклав на неї руки; і вона зараз же випросталась і почала славити Бога.	And he laid his hands upon her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

При цьому начальник синагоги, обурюючись, що Ісус зцілив її в суботу, сказав народові: є шість днів, в які дозволено робити; в ті і приходьте зцілятися, а не в день суботній.	And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in these therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.

Господь сказав йому у відповідь: лицеміре, чи не відв’язує кожний з вас у суботу вола свого або осла від ясел і не веде напувати?	The Lord then answered him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

А цю дочку Авраамову, яку зв’язав сатана ось уже вісімнадцятий рік, чи не належало визволити від цих пут у день суботній?	And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, these eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?

І коли Він говорив це, усі, що противилися Йому, засоромились; і всі люди раділи всім славним ділам Його.	And as he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame: and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

Він же сказав: до чого подібне Царство Боже, і до чого уподібню його?	And he said, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I liken it?
19	19
Воно подібне до зерна гірчичного, яке чоловік взяв і посадив у своєму саду; і виросло, і стало великим деревом, і птахи небесні оселилися у гілках його.	It is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a great tree; and the birds of the heaven lodged in the branches thereof.

Ще сказав: до чого уподібню Царство Боже?	Again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

Воно подібне до закваски, яку жінка, взявши, поклала на три міри борошна, аж доки не вкисне все.	It is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.

І проходив через міста і села, і навчав, прямуючи до Єрусалима.	And he went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and journeying on unto Jerusalem.

Один чоловік сказав Йому: Господи, невже мало таких, що спасаються? А Він сказав їм:	And one said unto him, Lord, are they few that are saved? And he said unto them,
24	24
намагайтеся увійти через вузькі ворота, бо, кажу вам, багато буде таких, які намагатимуться увійти, і не зможуть.	Strive to enter in by the narrow gate: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25	25
Коли Господар дому встане і зачинить двері, тоді ви, стоячи зовні, почнете стукати у двері і говорити: Господи! Господи! Відчини нам. А Він скаже вам у відповідь: не знаю вас, звідки ви.	When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are;

Тоді почнете говорити: ми їли і пили перед Тобою, і на перехрестях наших Ти навчав.	then shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets;

А Він скаже: говорю вам, що не знаю вас, звідки ви; відійдіть від Мене всі, хто чинить неправду.	and he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Там буде плач і скрегіт зубів, коли побачите Авраама, Ісаака і Якова і всіх пророків у Царстві Божому, а себе — вигнаними геть.	There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without.

І прийдуть від сходу і заходу, від півночі й півдня, і возляжуть у Царстві Божому.	And they shall come from the east and west and north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30	30
І ось є останні, що будуть першими, і є перші, що будуть останніми.	And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.

У той день прийшли деякі з фарисеїв і сказали Йому: вийди і піди звідси, бо Ірод хоче Тебе вбити.	On that same day there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Get thee out, and go hence: for Herod would fain kill thee.

І сказав їм: підіть і скажіть отій лисиці: ось виганяю бісів і зціляю сьогодні і завтра, і на третій день закінчу.	And he said unto them, Go and say to that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I am perfected.

А втім, мені треба ходити сьогодні, завтра і в наступний день, бо неможливо, щоб пророк загинув поза Єрусалимом.	Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

Єрусалиме, Єрусалиме, що вбивав пророків і камінням побив посланих до тебе! Скільки разів хотів Я зібрати дітей твоїх, як птах пташенят своїх під крила, і ви не захотіли!	O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!

Ось залишається вам дім ваш порожнім. Кажу ж вам, що ви не побачите Мене, доки не прийде час, коли скажете: благословенний, Хто гряде в ім’я Господнє!	Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
