| Після того обрав Господь і інших сімдесят учеників і послав їх по двоє перед Собою до кожного міста і місцевості, куди Сам хотів іти. | Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself was about to come. |
|

|
| І сказав їм: жниво велике, а женців мало; тож благайте Господаря жнива, щоб вислав женців на жниво Своє. | Therefore said he unto them, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth laborers into his harvest. |

| Ідіть! Я посилаю вас, як ягнят між вовків. | Go your ways; behold, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves. |
|

|
| Не беріть ні мішка, ні торби, ні взуття, і нікого в дорозі не вітайте. | Carry no purse, no wallet, nor shoes; and salute no man on the way. |
|

|
| В який дім увійдете, спочатку кажіть: мир дому цьому. | And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. |
|

|
| І якщо буде там син миру, то спочине на ньому мир ваш, а коли ні, то до вас повернеться. | And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him: but if not, it shall turn to you again. |
|

|
| В тому ж домі перебувайте, їжте і пийте те, що в них є, бо робітник вартий винагороди своєї. Не переходьте з дому в дім. | And in that same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. |
|

|
| І в яке тільки місто прийдете і приймуть вас, їжте, що вам подадуть. | And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: |
|

|
| І зціляйте недужих, що знаходяться в ньому, і кажіть їм: наблизилось до вас Царство Боже. | and heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. |
|

|
| Якщо ж прийдете в якесь місто і не приймуть вас, то, вийшовши на перехрестя його, скажіть: | But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets thereof and say, |
|

|
| і порох, що прилип до нас з вашого міста, обтрушуємо вам; але знайте, що наблизилося до вас Царство Боже. | Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to us, we wipe off against you: nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. |
|

|
| Кажу ж вам, що содомлянам у день той відрадніше буде, ніж місту тому. | I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. |
|

|
| Горе тобі, Хоразине, горе тобі, Вифсаїдо, бо якби у Тирі та Сидоні сталися ті чудеса, які були у вас, то давно б вони, сидячи у веретищі й попелі, покаялися. | Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. |

| Однак Тиру і Сидону відрадніше буде на суді, ніж вам. | But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you. |
|

|
| І ти, Капернауме, що піднісся до неба, до пекла зійдеш. | And thou, Capernaum, who art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down unto Hades. |
|

|
| Хто слухає вас, той Мене слухає, і хто зневажає вас, той Мене зневажає, а хто зневажає Мене, той зневажає Того, Хто послав Мене. | He that heareth you heareth me; and he that rejecteth you rejecteth me; and he that rejecteth me rejecteth him that sent me. |

| Сімдесят учеників повернулися з радістю і говорили: Господи, і біси коряться нам в ім’я Твоє. | And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name. |
|

|
| Він же сказав їм: Я бачив сатану, що, як блискавка, впав з неба. | And he said unto them, I beheld Satan fallen as lightning from heaven. |
|

|
19
|
| Ось даю вам владу наступати на змій, і на скорпіонів, і на всяку силу вражу; і ніщо не зашкодить вам. | Behold, I give you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you. |
|

|
| Однак тому не радійте, що духи вам коряться; а радійте тому, що імена ваші записані на небесах. | Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. |
|

| У той час зрадів духом Ісус і сказав: славлю Тебе, Отче, Господи неба і землі, що Ти утаїв це від премудрих та розумних і відкрив те дітям. Так, Отче, бо таке було Твоє благовоління. | In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight. |

| І, звернувшись до учеників, сказав: усе передав Мені Отець Мій; і ніхто не знає, хто є Син, тільки Отець; і хто є Отець, знає тільки Син і той, кому Син хоче відкрити. | And turning to the disciples, he said, All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, save the Father; and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal him. |

| І, звернувшись до учеників, сказав їм осібно: блаженні очі, які бачать те, що ви бачите! | And turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: |

| Бо кажу вам, багато пророків і царів бажали б бачити те, що ви бачите, та й не побачили, і чути, що ви чуєте, та й не почули. | for I say unto you, that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not. |
|

|
| І ось один законник встав і, спокушаючи Його, сказав: Учителю, що зробити мені, щоб успадкувати життя вічне? | And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, making trial of him, and saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? |
|

|
| Він же сказав йому: в законі що написано? Як читаєш? | And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? |
|

|
| Він сказав у відповідь: люби Господа Бога твого всім серцем твоїм, і всією душею твоєю, і всією силою твоєю, і всім розумом твоїм, і ближнього твого — як самого себе. | And he answered and said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself. |

| Ісус сказав йому: правильно ти відповідав; так роби — і будеш жити. | And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. |
|

|
| Він же, бажаючи виправдати себе, сказав Ісусові: а хто ж мій ближній? | But he, desiring to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor? |
|

|
| На це Ісус сказав: один чоловік ішов з Єрусалима до Єрихона і потрапив до рук розбійників, які зняли з нього одяг, поранили його і відійшли, залишивши його ледве живого. | And Jesus made answer and said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. |

| Випадково один священик проходив тією дорогою і, побачивши його, пройшов мимо. | And by chance a certain priest was going down that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. |

| Так само і левит, що був на тому місці, підійшов, подивився і пройшов мимо. | And in like manner a Levite also, when he was at the place, came and saw him, and passed by on the other side. |
|

|
| Якийсь же самарянин, проїжджаючи, натрапив на нього і, побачивши його, змилосердився; | But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion, |

| і, підійшовши, перев’язав йому рани, поливши оливою і вином; і, посадивши його на свого осла, привіз його до заїжджого двору і потурбувався про нього; | and came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on them oil and wine; and he set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. |

| а на другий день, відходячи, вийняв два динарії, дав господареві заїжджого двору і сказав йому: подбай про нього; і якщо витратиш на нього більше, я, коли повертатимусь, віддам тобі. | And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, I, when I come back again, will repay thee. |

| Отже, кого з тих трьох вважаєш ти ближнім того, хто потрапив до рук розбійників? | Which now of these three, thinkest thou, proved neighbor unto him that fell among the robbers? |

| Він сказав: того, який змилосердився над ним. Тоді Ісус сказав йому: іди і ти роби так само. | Then he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then Jesus said unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. |
|

|
| Коли вони йшли, прийшов Він до одного села; тут жінка на ім’я Марфа прийняла Його у свій дім. | Now it came to pass, as they went on their way, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. |
|

|
| У неї була сестра, що звалася Марією, котра сіла біля ніг Ісуса і слухала слово Його. | And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at the Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. |
|

40
|
| Марфа ж клопоталася про велике частування і, підійшовши, сказала: Господи, чи Тобі байдуже, що сестра моя покинула мене одну слугувати? Скажи їй, щоб допомогла мені. | But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came up to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister did leave me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. |

| Ісус же сказав їй у відповідь: Марфо! Марфо! Ти турбуєшся і клопочешся про багато що. | But Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things: |
|

|
| А потрібне ж тільки одне; Марія ж благу обрала частку, яка не відніметься від неї. | but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her. |
