Глава 19	Chapter 19

1	1
Потім Ісус увійшов до Єрихона і проходив через нього.	And he entered and was passing through Jericho.
2	2
І ось один муж на ім’я Закхей, він був старший над митарями і чоловік був багатий,	And behold, a man called by name Zacchaeus; and he was a chief publican, and he was rich.
3	3
бажав бачити Ісуса, хто Він; але не міг за народом, бо був малий на зріст.	And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.

І, забігши наперед, виліз на смоковницю, щоб побачити Його, бо Він мав проходити біля неї.	And he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

Коли Ісус прийшов на те місце і, глянувши, побачив його, сказав йому: Закхею, злізь скоріше, бо сьогодні Мені належить бути в тебе в домі.	And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.

І він поспішно зліз і прийняв Його з радістю.	And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

І всі, побачивши те, почали нарікати, що Він зайшов гостити до грішного чоловіка.	And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He is gone in to lodge with a man that is a sinner.

Закхей, вставши, сказав Господеві: Господи, половину добра мого я віддам убогим і, якщо кого скривдив чим, поверну вчетверо.	And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.

Ісус сказав йому: нині прийшло спасіння дому цьому, бо і він син Авраамів.	And Jesus said unto him, Today is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
10	10
Прийшов бо Син Людський знайти і спасти, що загинуло.	For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
11	11
Коли ж вони слухали це, розповів ще одну притчу; бо Він був недалеко від Єрусалима, і вони думали, що Царство Боже повинне скоро відкритися.	And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was immediately to appear.

Отже, сказав: один чоловік високого роду вирушав у далеку країну, щоб прийняти собі царство і повернутися.	He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13	13
Покликавши десятьох рабів своїх, дав їм десять мин^* і сказав їм: пустіть їх у діло, поки я повернусь.	And he called ten servants of his, and gave them ten pounds, and said unto them, Trade ye herewith till I come.

Але громадяни ненавиділи його і відправили слідом за ним посланців, сказавши: ми не хочемо, щоб він царював над нами.	But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassage after him, saying, We will not that this man reign over us.
15	15
І коли він повернувся, прийнявши царство, то звелів покликати рабів тих, яким дав срібло, щоб довідатися, хто що придбав.	And it came to pass, when he was come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, unto whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know who had gained what by trading.
16	16
Прийшов перший і сказав: господарю, мина твоя принесла десять мин.	And the first came before him, saying, Lord, thy pound hath made ten pounds more.
17	17
І сказав йому: гаразд, добрий рабе! За те, що ти у малому був вірний, візьми управління над десятьма містами.	And he said unto him, Well done, thou good servant: because thou wast found faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18	18
Прийшов другий і сказав: господарю, мина твоя принесла п’ять мин.	And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath made five pounds.
19	19
Сказав і цьому: і ти будь над п’ятьма містами.	And he said unto him also, Be thou also over five cities.
20	20
Прийшов ще один і сказав: господарю, ось твоя мина, яку я зберігав, загорнувши в хустину,	And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I kept laid up in a napkin:
21	21
бо я боявся тебе, тому що ти чоловік жорстокий: береш, чого не клав, і жнеш, чого не сіяв.	for I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that which thou laidst not down, and reapest that which thou didst not sow.
22	22
Господар сказав йому: твоїми вустами суджу тебе, лукавий рабе! Ти знав, що я чоловік жорстокий: беру, чого не клав, і жну, чого не сіяв.	And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up that which I laid not down, and reaping that which I did not sow;

Чому ж ти не віддав срібла мого купцям, щоб я, повернувшись, узяв його з прибутком?	then wherefore gavest thou not my money into a bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest?
24	24
І сказав тим, що там стояли: візьміть у нього мину і дайте тому, що має десять мин.	And he said unto them that stood by, Take away from him the pound, and give it unto him that hath the ten pounds.
25	25
І сказали йому: господарю, у нього є десять мин.	And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.
26	26
Кажу ж бо вам, що всякому, хто має, тому дасться; а хто не має, відбереться і те, що має.	For I say unto you, that unto everyone that hath shall be given; but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him.
27	27
А ворогів моїх, які не хотіли, щоб я царював над ними, приведіть сюди і повбивайте переді мною.	But those mine enemies, that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay before me.
28	28
Сказавши це, Ісус пішов далі, підіймаючись до Єрусалима.	And when he had thus spoken, he went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
29	29
І коли наблизився до Виффагії та Вифанії, до гори, що зветься Елеонською, послав двох учеників Своїх	And it came to pass, when he drew nigh unto Bethsphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of his disciples,

і сказав: підіть до села, що перед вами; увійшовши в нього, знайдете осля прив’язане, на яке ніхто з людей ніколи не сідав; відв’язавши його, приведіть.	saying, Go your way into the village over against you; in which as ye enter ye shall find a colt tied, whereon no man ever yet sat: loose him, and bring him.

А коли хто вас спитає: навіщо відв’язуєте? — скажіть йому так: Господь його потребує.	And if anyone ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, The Lord hath need of him.

Посланці пішли і знайшли все так, як Він сказав їм.	And they that were sent went away, and found even as he had said unto them.

Коли ж вони відв’язували осля, то господарі його сказали їм: навіщо відв’язуєте осля?	And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

Вони відповіли: Господь його потребує.	And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
35	35
І привели його до Ісуса, і, накинувши одяг свій на осля, посадили Ісуса.	And they brought him to Jesus: and they threw their garments upon the colt, and set Jesus thereon.
36	36
І коли Він їхав, стелили одяг свій на дорозі.	And as he went, they spread their garments in the way.
37	37
А коли Він наближався вже до спуску з гори Елеонської, безліч учеників почали радісно хвалити Бога гучним голосом за всі чудеса, які вони бачили,	And as he was now drawing nigh, even at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen;

кажучи: благословен Цар, що гряде в ім’я Господнє! Мир на небесах і слава у вишніх!	saying, Blessed is the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

І деякі фарисеї з народу сказали Йому: Учителю, заборони ученикам Твоїм.	And some of the Pharisees from the multitude said unto him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
40	40
Але Він сказав їм у відповідь: Я вам кажу, що коли вони замовкнуть, то каміння заголосить.	And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out.
41	41
І коли, наблизившись, побачив місто, то заплакав над ним	And when he drew nigh, he saw the city and wept over it,
42	42
і сказав: о, коли б зрозуміло ти хоч у цей твій день, що потрібне для твого миру! Але це сховано нині від очей твоїх.	saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hidden from thine eyes.

Бо прийдуть на тебе дні, і вороги твої оточать тебе валом, і візьмуть в облогу тебе, і стиснуть тебе звідусіль.	For the days shall come upon thee, when thine enemies shall cast up a bank about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44	44
І зруйнують тебе, і поб’ють дітей твоїх у тобі, і не залишать у тобі каменя на камені, бо ти не зрозуміло часу відвідин твоїх.	and shall dash thee to the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

І ввійшовши у храм, почав виганяти тих, що в ньому продавали і купували,	And he entered into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought,
46	46
кажучи їм: написано: дім Мій є дім молитви, а ви зробили його вертепом розбійників.	saying unto them, It is written, My house is a house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of robbers.
47	47
І навчав щодня в храмі. А первосвященики і книжники та старійшини народні шукали, як погубити Його,	And he was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people sought to destroy him:

і не знаходили, що б зробити з Ним, бо всі люди трималися Його і слухали Його.	and they could not find what they might do; for the people all hung upon him, listening.
