Глава 24	Chapter 24

1	1
Першого ж дня після суботи, дуже рано, несучи наготовані пахощі, вони прийшли до гробу, і разом з ними деякі інші.	But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Знайшли ж, що камінь був відвалений від гробу.	And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

І, увійшовши, не знайшли тіла Господа Ісуса.	And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

Коли ж вони не могли зрозуміти цього, ось два мужі стали перед ними в одежах блискучих.	And it came to pass, while they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling garments:

Налякалися вони і схилилися обличчям до землі, а ті сказали їм: чого шукаєте Живого між мертвими?	and as they were affrighted and bowed down their face to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

Нема Його тут, Він воскрес. Згадайте, як Він говорив вам, коли був ще в Галилеї,	He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

кажучи, що Синові Людському належить бути виданому до рук людей-грішників, і бути розп’ятим, і на третій день воскреснути.	saying that the Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

І згадали слова Його.	And they remembered his words,

І, повернувшись від гробу, сповістили про все те одинадцятьох і всіх інших.	and returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.

То були Магдалина Марія, й Іоанна, і Марія Яковова, та інші з ними, які сказали про це апостолам.	Now it was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things unto the apostles.

І здалися їм слова їхні неправдивими, і вони не повірили їм.	And their words appeared in their sight as idle talk; and they disbelieved them.

Петро ж, уставши, побіг до гробу і, нахилившись, побачив самі тільки ризи, що лежали, і пішов назад, дивуючися з того, що сталося.	But Peter arose, and ran unto the tomb; and stooping and looking in, he seeth the linen cloths lying by themselves; and he departed to his own home, wondering at that which was come to pass.

Того ж дня двоє з них йшли в село, що було стадій^* за шістдесят від Єрусалима і звалося Еммаус.	And behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was threescore furlongs from Jerusalem.

І розмовляли між собою про всі ці події.	And they communed with each other of all these things which had happened.
15	15
І коли вони розмовляли і міркували між собою, Сам Ісус, наблизившись, пішов з ними.	And it came to pass, while they communed and questioned together, that Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16	16
Але очі їхні були стримані, так що вони не впізнали Його.	But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17	17
Він же сказав до них: про що ви сперечаєтесь між собою, ідучи, і чим ви засмучені?	And he said unto them, What communications are these that ye have one with another, as ye walk and are looking sad?
18	18
Один з них, на ім’я Клеопа, сказав Йому у відповідь: невже Ти, один з тих, що прийшли до Єрусалима, не знаєш, що сталося в ньому цими днями?	And the one, whose name was Cleopas, answered and said unto him, Dost thou alone sojourn in Jerusalem and not know the things which are come to pass there in these days?

І сказав їм: що саме? Вони відповіли Йому: про Ісуса Назарянина, Який був мужем-пророком, сильним ділом і словом перед Богом і всіма людьми.	And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

Як видали Його первосвященики і начальники наші для засудження на смерть і розіп’яли Його.	and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.
21	21
Ми ж сподівалися, що Він є Той, Хто має визволити Ізраїль, до того ж сьогодні вже третій день, як усе це сталося.	But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel: and besides all this, today is now the third day since these things came to pass.
22	22
Та ще й налякали нас деякі жінки з наших, які вранці були біля гробу,	Moreover certain women of our company amazed us, having been early at the tomb;

і не знайшли тіла Його, і, прийшовши, розповідали, що вони бачили і явлення ангелів, які говорять, що Він живий.	and when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
24	24
І пішли деякі з наших до гробу, і знайшли так, як жінки говорили, а Самого ж не бачили.	And certain of them that were with us went to the tomb, and found it even so as the women also had said: but him they saw not.
25	25
Тоді Він сказав їм: о нерозумні і мляві серцем, щоб вірувати в усе, про що говорили пророки!	And he said unto them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
26	26
Чи не так же належало постраждати Христу й увійти в славу Свою?	Behooved it not the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
27	27
І, почавши від Мойсея і від усіх пророків, пояснював їм сказане про Нього у всьому Писанні.	And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

І наблизились вони до того села, куди йшли; і Він робив вигляд, що хоче йти далі.	And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go further.
29	29
А вони затримували Його, кажучи: залишся з нами, бо вже вечоріє, і день закінчується. І Він увійшов і залишився з ними.	And they constrained him, saying, Abide with us; for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to abide with them.

І коли Він возлежав з ними, то взяв хліб, благословив, переломив і подав їм.	And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed; and breaking it he gave to them.

У них же відкрилися очі, і вони впізнали Його. Але Він став невидимим для них.	And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32	32
І вони казали один одному: чи ж не палало в нас серце наше, коли Він говорив нам у дорозі і коли пояснював нам Писання?	And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33	33
І, вставши тієї ж години, повернулися до Єрусалима і знайшли разом одинадцятьох і тих, що були з ними,	And they rose up that very hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

які говорили, що Господь воістину воскрес і явився Симонові.	saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

І вони розповіли, що було в дорозі, і як вони Його впізнали у переломленні хліба.	And they rehearsed the things that happened in the way, and how he was known of them in the breaking of the bread.

Коли вони про це говорили, Сам Ісус став посеред них і сказав їм: мир вам.	And as they spake these things, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Вони схвилювались і злякалися, гадаючи, що бачать духа.	But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit.
38	38
Але Він сказав їм: чого хвилюєтесь, чому такі думки входять до сердець ваших?	And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore do questionings arise in your hearts?
39	39
Погляньте на руки Мої і на ноги Мої; це Я Сам. Доторкніться до Мене і роздивіться; бо дух тіла і кісток не має, як бачите у Мене.	See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having.
40	40
І, сказавши це, показав їм руки і ноги.	And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41	41
Коли ж вони від радости ще не вірили і дивувалися, Він сказав їм: чи маєте тут якусь їжу?	And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat?
42	42
Вони подали Йому частину печеної риби і стільниковий мед.	And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of a honeycomb.
43	43
І, взявши, їв перед ними.	And he took them, and ate before them.
44	44
І сказав їм: ось ті слова, що Я говорив вам, коли ще був з вами, як належить справдитися всьому, написаному про Мене в законі Мойсеєвому і у пророків та в псалмах.	And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.

Тоді розкрив їм розум до розуміння Писання.	Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures;
46	46
І сказав їм: так написано, і так належало постраждати Христу, і воскреснути з мертвих на третій день,	and he said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved the Christ to suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day;
47	47
і щоб проповідувалося в ім’я Його покаяння і відпущення гріхів між усіма народами, починаючи від Єрусалима.	and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Ви ж є свідками цього.	And ye are witnesses of these things.
49	49
І ось Я посилаю обітницю Отця Мого на вас; ви ж лишайтесь у місті Єрусалимі, доки не сповнитеся силою з неба.	And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be clothed with power from on high.
50	50
І вивів їх до Вифанії, і, піднявши руки Свої, благословив їх.	And he led them out as far as to Bethany: and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51	51
І коли Він благословляв їх, почав віддалятися від них і вознісся на небо.	And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.
52	52
Вони, поклонившись Йому, повернулися до Єрусалима з великою радістю.	And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

І перебували завжди в храмі, прославляючи і благословляючи Бога. Амінь.	and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
