Глава 8	Chapter 8

1	1
Після цього проходив Він по містах і селах, проповідуючи і благовістячи Царство Боже, і з Ним дванадцять.	And it came to pass soon afterward, that he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good tidings of the kingdom of God, and with him the twelve,

І деякі жінки, яких Він зцілив від злих духів і недуг: Марія, звана Магдалиною, з якої вийшло сім бісів,	and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary that was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,

та Іоанна, жінка Хузи, домоправителя Іродового, і Сусанна, і багато інших, які служили Йому з майна свого.	and Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered unto them of their substance.

Коли ж зібралося багато народу, і з усіх міст жителі сходилися до Нього, Він почав говорити притчу:	And when a great multitude came together, and they of every city resorted unto him, he spake by a parable:

вийшов сівач сіяти зерно своє і, коли сіяв, одне впало при дорозі, і було потоптане, і птахи небесні подзьобали його.	The sower went forth to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trodden under foot, and the birds of the heaven devoured it.

А інше впало на каміння і, зійшовши, всохло, бо не мало вологи.	And other fell on the rock; and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
7	7
А ще інше впало поміж терня, і виросло терня і заглушило його.	And other fell amidst the thorns; and the thorns grew with it, and choked it.

Інше ж упало в добру землю і, коли зійшло, дало плід у стократ. Сказавши це, виголосив: хто має вуха слухати, нехай слухає!	And other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit a hundredfold. As he said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Ученики ж Його запитали в Нього: що означає притча ця?	And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

Він сказав: вам дано розуміти таємниці Царства Божого, а іншим — у притчах, щоб вони, дивлячись, не бачили і, слухаючи, не розуміли.	And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

Ось що означає притча ця. Зерно — це слово Боже.	Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12	12
А те, що впало при дорозі, це ті, що слухають, але потім приходить диявол і забирає слово із серця їхнього, щоб вони не увірували і не спаслись.	And those by the wayside are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.

А те, що на камінні, це ті, що, як тільки почують слово, з радістю приймають, але не мають кореня, дочасно вірують, а під час спокуси відпадають.	And those on the rock are they who, when they have heard, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

А те, що впало поміж терня, це ті, що слухають слово, але відходять і, заглушені турботами, багатством та життєвими насолодами, не дають плоду.	And that which fell among the thorns, these are they that have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

А те, що впало в добру землю, це ті, які добрим і щирим серцем почуте слово бережуть і приносять плід у терпінні. Сказавши це, Він виголосив: хто має вуха слухати, нехай слухає.	And that in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it fast, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Ніхто, засвітивши світильник, не покриває його посудиною або не ставить під ліжко, а ставить на свічник, щоб ті, що входять, бачили світло.	And no man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but putteth it on a stand, that they that enter in may see the light.

Бо немає нічого таємного, що не стало б явним, ні прихованого, що не стало б відомим і не відкрилося б.	For nothing is hidden, that shall not be made manifest; nor anything secret, that shall not be known and come to light.
18	18
Отже, пильнуйте, як слухаєте: бо хто має, тому дасться, а хто не має, у того відбереться і те, що він думає мати.	Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath.
19	19
Прийшли до Нього Мати і брати Його, і не могли доступитися до Нього через народ.	And there came to him his mother and brethren, and they could not come at him for the crowd.
20	20
І сповістили Його, кажучи: Мати Твоя і брати Твої стоять зовні, бажаючи бачити Тебе.	And it was told him, saying, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
21	21
Він же сказав їм у відповідь: мати Моя і брати Мої — це ті, що слухають слово Боже і виконують його.	But he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these that hear the word of God, and do it.
22	22
Одного дня увійшов Він у човен з учениками Своїми і сказав їм: переправимось на той бік озера. І вирушили.	And it came to pass on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples; and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake: and they launched forth.

Коли пливли вони, Він заснув. Знялася буря велика на озері, і заливало їх хвилями, і вони були в небезпеці.	But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy.
24	24
І, приступивши, вони розбудили Його, кажучи: Наставнику! Наставнику, гинемо! Він же, вставши, заборонив вітрові і хвилям; і вони уляглись, і настала тиша.	And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. And he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

Тоді Він сказав їм: де віра ваша? Вони ж у страху і здивуванні говорили один одному: Хто ж Цей, що й вітрам і воді наказує, і слухаються Його?	And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And being afraid they marveled, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him?

І припливли в землю Гадаринську, що навпроти Галилеї.	And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

Коли ж Він зійшов на берег, зустрів Його один чоловік з міста, що упродовж багатьох років мав бісів, і не вдягався в одяг, і жив не в домі, а в гробах.	And when he was come forth upon the land, there met him a certain man out of the city, who had demons for a long time, and ware no clothes, and abode not in any house, but in the tombs.

Побачивши ж Ісуса, він закричав, припав до Нього і гучним голосом сказав: що Тобі до мене, Ісусе, Сину Бога Вишнього? Благаю Тебе, не муч мене!	And when he saw Jesus, he also cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I beseech thee, torment me not.

Бо Ісус повелів нечистому духові вийти з цього чоловіка, тому що він багато років мучив його; і в’язали його ланцюгами залізними і путами, і стерегли його, але він розривав ланцюги, і гнав його біс у пустелю.	For he was commanding the unclean spirit to come out from the man. For oftentimes it had seized him: and he was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters; and breaking the bands asunder, he was driven of the demon into the deserts.

Ісус запитав його: як твоє ім’я? Він же сказав: легіон, — бо багато бісів увійшло в нього.	And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion; for many demons were entered into him.
31	31
І вони благали Ісуса, щоб не повелів їм іти в безодню.	And they entreated him that he would not command them to depart into the abyss.

Тут же на горі паслося велике стадо свиней. І біси благали Його, щоб дозволив їм увійти в них, і повелів їм.	Now there was there a herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they entreated him that he would give them leave to enter into them. And he gave them leave.

Біси, вийшовши з чоловіка, увійшли в свиней, і кинулося стадо з кручі в озеро, і потонуло.	And the demons came out from the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed down the steep into the lake, and were drowned.

Пастухи, побачивши, що сталося, побігли і розповіли в місті і по селах.	And when they that fed them saw what had come to pass, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.
35	35
І вийшли побачити, що сталось; і, прийшовши до Ісуса, знайшли чоловіка, з якого вийшли біси, одягненого і при своєму розумі, котрий сидів біля ніг Ісусових, і вжахнулися.	And they went out to see what had come to pass; and they came to Jesus, and found the man, from whom the demons were gone out, sitting, clothed and in his right mind, at the feet of Jesus: and they were afraid.

А ті, що бачили, розповіли їм, як зцілився біснуватий.	And they also that saw it told them how he that was possessed with demons was made whole.
37	37
І весь народ краю Гадаринського просив Його відійти від них, бо їх охопив великий страх. Він увійшов у човен і повернувся.	And all the people of the country of the Gadarenes round about asked him to depart from them; for they were holden with great fear: and he entered into the boat, and returned.

Чоловік же, з якого вийшли біси, благав Його, щоб бути з Ним. Але Ісус відпустив його, сказавши:	But the man from whom the demons were gone out prayed him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39	39
повернись у дім твій і розкажи, що сотворив тобі Бог. Він пішов і проповідував по всьому місту, що сотворив йому Ісус.	Return to thy house, and declare how great things God hath done for thee. And he went his way, publishing throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done for him.
40	40
Коли ж Ісус повернувся, народ прийняв Його, бо всі чекали на Нього.	And it came to pass when Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him; for they were all waiting for him.
41	41
І ось прийшов чоловік на ім’я Іаїр, який був начальником синагоги; і, припавши до ніг Ісусових, благав Його увійти до нього в дім;	And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him to come into his house;
42	42
бо у нього була єдина дочка років дванадцяти, і та помирала. Коли ж Він йшов, народ тиснув Його.	for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went the multitudes thronged him.
43	43
І жінка, що дванадцять років страждала на кровотечу, витратила на лікарів усе своє майно і в жодного не змогла вилікуватися.	And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, who had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed of any,

І, підійшовши ззаду, доторкнулася до краю одежі Його; і вмить кровотеча у неї зупинилась.	came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately the issue of her blood staunched.
45	45
І сказав Ісус: хто доторкнувся до Мене? Коли ж усі відмовлялися, Петро і ті, що були з Ним, сказали: Наставнику, народ оточує Тебе і тисне, — а Ти говориш: хто доторкнувся до Мене?	And Jesus said, Who is it that touched me? And when all denied, Peter said, and they that were with him, Master, the multitudes press thee and crush thee, and sayest thou, Who is it that touched me?

Ісус же сказав: хтось доторкнувся до Мене, бо Я відчув, як сила вийшла з Мене.	But Jesus said, Someone did touch me; for I perceived that power had gone forth from me.
47	47
Жінка, побачивши, що вона не втаїлася, тремтячи, підійшла і, впавши перед Ним, розповіла Йому перед усім народом, з якої причини доторкнулася до Нього і як раптом зцілилася.	And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared unto him in the presence of all the people for what cause she touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

Він сказав їй: дерзай, дочко! Віра твоя спасла тебе, іди з миром!	And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good cheer: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Коли Він ще говорив це, приходить один з дому начальника синагоги і говорить йому: твоя дочка вмерла, не турбуй Учителя.	While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Teacher.
50	50
Ісус же, почувши це, сказав йому: не бійся, тільки віруй, і спасенна буде.	But Jesus hearing it, answered him, saying, Fear not: only believe, and she shall be made whole.
51	51
Прийшовши в дім, не дозволив увійти нікому, крім Петра, Іоана і Якова та батька і матері тієї дівчини.	And when he came to the house, he suffered no man to enter in, save Peter, and John, and James, and the father of the maiden and her mother.
52	52
Всі плакали і ридали за нею. А Він сказав: не плачте, вона не вмерла, але спить.	And all were weeping, and bewailing her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.

І глузували з Нього, знаючи, що вона вмерла.	And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
54	54
Він же, виславши всіх геть, узяв її за руку і виголосив: дівчино, встань.	But he, putting them all out and taking her by the hand, called, saying, Maiden, arise.
55	55
І повернувся дух її, і воскресла вмить, і Він звелів дати їй їсти.	And her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately: and he commanded that something be given her to eat.
56	56
І здивувалися батьки її. Він же повелів їм нікому не казати про те, що сталося.	And her parents were amazed: but he charged them to tell no man what had been done.
