Глава 5	Chapter 5

Одного разу, коли народ тиснувся до Нього, щоб слухати Слово Боже, а Він стояв біля озера Генісаретського,	Now it came to pass, while the multitude pressed upon him to hear the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret;

і побачив Він два човни, що стояли при озері; а рибалки, вийшовши з них, полоскали сіті.	and he saw two boats standing by the lake: but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

Увійшовши в один з човнів, який належав Симонові, Він просив його відплисти трохи від берега і, сівши, навчав людей з човна.	And he entered into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the multitudes out of the boat.

Коли ж перестав навчати, сказав Симонові: відпливи на глибину і закиньте сіті свої для лову.	And when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draft.

Симон сказав Йому у відповідь: Наставнику, ми трудилися всю ніч і нічого не впіймали, але за словом Твоїм закину сіть.	And Simon answered and said unto him, Master, we toiled the whole night, and took nothing: but at thy word I will let down the net.

Зробивши це, вони наловили дуже багато риби, аж проривалася сіть у них.	And when they had done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fish; and their net was breaking;

І дали знак друзям з другого човна, щоб прийшли допомогти їм; і прийшли, і наповнили обидва човни так, що вони почали тонути.	and they beckoned unto their partners, who were in the other boat, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

Побачивши це, Симон-Петро припав до колін Ісусових і сказав: Господи, відійди від мене, бо я чоловік грішний!	But Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

Бо жах охопив його і всіх, що були з ним, від того улову риби, яку зловили;	For he was amazed, and all that were with him, at the draft of the fish which they had taken;
10	10
також і Якова та Іоана, синів Зеведеєвих, які були спільниками Симона. І сказав Ісус Симонові: не бійся, віднині будеш ловцем людей.	and so were also James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

І, витягнувши обидва човни на берег, залишили все і пішли за Ним.	And when they had brought their boats to land, they left all, and followed him.

Коли Ісус був в одному місті, прийшов чоловік, увесь в проказі, і, побачивши Ісуса, упав ниць і благав Його: Господи, якщо Ти хочеш, можеш мене очистити.	And it came to pass, while he was in one of the cities, behold, a man full of leprosy: and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

Він простяг руку, доторкнувся до нього і сказав: хочу, очисться. І відразу проказа зійшла з нього.	And he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou made clean. And straightaway the leprosy departed from him.

І Він звелів йому нікому не говорити, а піти показатися священикові і принести жертву за очищення своє, як повелів Мойсей, на свідчення їм.	And he charged him to tell no man: but go thy way, and show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
15	15
Розійшлася ще більше чутка про Нього, і сходилося до Нього безліч народу послухати і зцілитися від Нього від недуг своїх.	But so much the more went abroad the report concerning him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

Він же відходив у безлюдні місця і молився.	But he withdrew himself in the deserts, and prayed.
17	17
Одного дня, коли Він навчав, і сиділи тут фарисеї і законовчителі, що поприходили з усяких місць Галилеї та Юдеї і з Єрусалима, і сила Господня являлася у зціленні хворих, —	And it came to pass on one of those days, that he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every village of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

і ось люди принесли на постелі чоловіка, який був розслаблений, і намагалися внести його в дім і покласти перед Ним;	And behold, men bring on a bed a man that was palsied: and they sought to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19	19
і, не знайшовши, як пронести його через натовп, вилізли на дім і через покрівлю спустили його з постіллю на середину, перед Ісусом.	And not finding by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20	20
І Він, побачивши віру їхню, сказав йому: чоловіче, відпускаються тобі гріхи твої.	And seeing their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21	21
Книжники і фарисеї почали розмірковувати, кажучи: хто ж є Цей, що богохульствує? Хто може відпускати гріхи, крім одного Бога?	And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
22	22
Ісус, зрозумівши міркування їхні, сказав їм у відповідь: що помишляєте в серцях ваших?	But Jesus perceiving their reasonings, answered and said unto them, Why reason ye in your hearts?

Що легше — сказати: відпускаються тобі гріхи твої, чи сказати: встань і ходи?	Which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Arise and walk?
24	24
Але щоб ви знали, що Син Людський має владу на землі відпускати гріхи, — сказав Він розслабленому: тобі кажу, встань, візьми постіль твою та йди в дім твій.	But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins (he said unto him that was palsied), I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go unto thy house.

І він відразу встав перед ними, взяв те, на чому лежав, та й пішов до дому свого, славлячи Бога.	And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
26	26
І жах охопив усіх, і славили Бога і, сповнені страхом, говорили: преславне бачили ми нині.	And amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God; and they were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things today.
27	27
І після цього вийшов Ісус і побачив митаря на ім’я Левій, що сидів на митниці, і сказав йому: йди за Мною.	And after these things he went forth, and beheld a publican, named Levi, sitting at the place of toll, and said unto him, Follow me.

І той, покинувши все, встав і пішов услід за Ним.	And he forsook all, and rose up and followed him.
29	29
І влаштував Йому Левій у домі своїм велику гостину; і там було багато митарів та інших, які возлежали з ними.	And Levi made him a great feast in his house: and there was a great multitude of publicans and of others that were sitting at meat with them.

Книжники ж і фарисеї нарікали на Нього і говорили ученикам Його: чому ви їсте і п’єте з митарями та грішниками?	And their scribes and the Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with the publicans and sinners?

Ісус же сказав їм у відповідь: не здорові потребують лікаря, а недужі.	And Jesus answered and said unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician; but they that are sick.
32	32
Я прийшов покликати не праведників до покаяння, але грішників.	I am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

Вони ж сказали Йому: чому учні Іоанові часто постять і моляться, також і фарисейські, а Твої їдять і п’ють?	And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make supplications; likewise also the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

Він же сказав їм: чи можете примусити гостей весільних постити, доки з ними жених?	And he said unto them, Can ye make the sons of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35	35
Але прийдуть дні, коли забраний буде від них жених, і тоді поститимуть у ті дні.	But the days will come; and when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, then will they fast in those days.
36	36
Сказав же і притчу їм: ніхто не накладає латки до старої одежі, відірвавши від нової одежі; а інакше і нове розірветься, і до старого не підійде те, що з нового.	And he spake also a parable unto them: No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old garment; else he rendeth the new, and also the piece from the new agreeth not with the old.
37	37
І ніхто не вливає молодого вина в старі міхи, і саме виллється, і міхи пропадуть.	And no man putteth new wine into old wineskins; else the new wine will burst the skins, and itself will be spilled, and the skins will perish.
38	38
А молоде вино в нові міхи треба вливати; тоді збережеться і те, і друге.	But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins; and both are preserved.
39	39
І ніхто, пивши старе вино, не захоче зараз же молодого, бо скаже: старе краще.	And no man having drunk old wine straightaway desireth new; for he saith, The old is better.
