|
І піднялася вся громада їхня, і повели Його до Пилата.
|
And the whole company of them rose up, and brought him before Pilate.
|
|
2
|
2
|
|
І почали звинувачувати Його, кажучи: ми знайшли Цього, Який розбещує народ наш і забороняє давати податок кесареві, називаючи Себе Христом Царем.
|
And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this man perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a king.
|

|
Пилат запитав Його: Ти Цар Юдейський? Він же сказав йому у відповідь: ти кажеш.
|
And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest.
|
|

|
|
Пилат сказав первосвященикам і народові: ніякої провини я не знаходжу в Чоловікові Цьому.
|
And Pilate said unto the chief priests and the multitudes, I find no fault in this man.
|
|

|
|
Але вони наполягали, кажучи, що Він розбещує народ, навчаючи по всій Юдеї, починаючи від Галилеї і аж до цього місця.
|
But they were the more urgent, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even unto this place.
|

|
Пилат, почувши про Галилею, запитав: хіба Він галилеянин?
|
But when Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilean.
|
|

|
|
І, довідавшись, що Він з области Іродової, послав Його до Ірода, який у ці дні теж був у Єрусалимі.
|
And when he knew that he was of Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him unto Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem in these days.
|
|

|
|
Ірод же, побачивши Ісуса, дуже зрадів, бо давно вже хотів Його бачити, тому що багато чув про Нього і сподівався побачити від Нього яке-небудь знамення.
|
Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was of a long time desirous to see him, because he had heard many things concerning him; and he hoped to see some miracle done by him.
|

|
І ставив Йому багато запитань, але Він нічого не відповідав йому.
|
And he questioned him in many words; but he answered him nothing.
|

|
|
Первосвященики ж і книжники стояли і наполегливо звинувачували Його.
|
And the chief priests and the scribes stood, vehemently accusing him.
|
|

|
|
Але Ірод зі своїми воїнами, зневаживши Його і познущавшись з Нього, вдягнув Його у світлий одяг і повернув Його до Пилата.
|
And Herod with his soldiers set him at nought, and mocked him, and arraying him in gorgeous apparel sent him back to Pilate.
|

|
І стали від того дня Ірод і Пилат друзями, бо раніше мали ворожнечу між собою.
|
And Pilate and Herod became friends with each other that very day: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
|
|

|
|
Пилат же, скликавши первосвящеників і начальників та народ,
|
And Pilate called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
|
|

|
14
|
|
сказав їм: ви привели до мене Чоловіка Цього, який ніби розбещує народ; і ось я перед вами допитав і не знайшов Чоловіка Цього винним ні в чому з того, в чому ви звинувачуєте Його.
|
and said unto them, Ye brought unto me this man, as one that perverteth the people: and behold, I, having examined him before you, found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

|
Й Ірод теж, бо я послав Його до нього, і нічого, вартого смерти, Він не вчинив.
|
no, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and behold, nothing worthy of death hath been done by him.
|
|

|
|
Отже, покаравши Його, відпущу.
|
I will therefore chastise him, and release him.
|
|

|

|
|
А йому і треба було заради свята відпустити їм одного в’язня.
|
(Now he must needs release unto them at the feast one prisoner.)
|
|

|

|
|
Але весь народ почав кричати: візьми Цього, відпусти ж нам Варавву!
|
And they cried out all together, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas—
|
|

|
|
А той за якийсь вчинений у місті бунт і вбивство був посаджений до в’язниці.
|
one who for a certain insurrection made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.
|
|

|
20
|
|
Пилат знову підвищив голос, бажаючи відпустити Ісуса.
|
Pilate therefore spake unto them again, desiring to release Jesus;
|
|

|
21
|
|
Але вони кричали: розіпни, розіпни Його!
|
but they shouted, saying, Crucify, crucify him.
|
|

|
22
|
|
Він утретє сказав їм: яке ж зло Він учинив? Я нічого, вартого смерти, не знайшов у Ньому; отже, покаравши Його, відпущу.
|
And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath this man done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him and release him.
|

|
Але вони продовжували з великим криком вимагати, щоб Він був розп’ятий; і перемогли крики їхні і первосвящеників.
|
But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
|
|

|
|
І Пилат присудив, щоб було за проханням їхнім.
|
And Pilate gave sentence that what they asked for should be done.
|
|

|

|
|
І відпустив їм ув’язненого за бунт і вбивство, якого вони просили; Ісуса ж віддав на їхню волю.
|
And he released him that for insurrection and murder had been cast into prison, whom they asked for; but Jesus he delivered up to their will.
|
|

|
|
І коли повели Його, то, затримавши якогось Симона киринеянина, що йшов з поля, поклали на нього хрест, щоб ніс за Ісусом.
|
And when they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid on him the cross, to bear it after Jesus.
|

|
І йшло за Ним дуже багато народу і жінок, які плакали і ридали за Ним.
|
And there followed him a great multitude of the people, and of women who also bewailed and lamented him.
|
|

|

|
|
Ісус же, обернувшись до них, сказав: дочки єрусалимські! Не плачте за Мною, а плачте за собою і за дітьми вашими.
|
But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
|
|

|
|
Бо ось надходять дні, коли скажуть: блаженні неплідні, і утроби, які не родили, і груди, які не годували!
|
For behold, the days are coming, in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and wombs that never bare, and the breasts that never gave suck.
|
|

|
30
|
|
Тоді почнуть говорити горам: упадіть на нас! І пагорбам: покрийте нас!
|
Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
|
|

|
|
Бо коли із зеленим деревом таке роблять, то що ж буде з сухим?
|
For if they do these things in the green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
|
|

|

|
|
Вели і двох злочинців з Ним, щоб убити.
|
And there were also two others, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
|
|

|

|
|
І коли прийшли на місце, що зветься Лобним, тут розп’яли Його і злочинців, одного з правого, а другого з лівого боку.
|
And when they came unto the place which is called The skull, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand and the other on the left.
|
|

|
|
Ісус же говорив: Отче, прости їм, бо не відають, що чинять. А ті, що ділили одяг Його, кидали жереб.
|
And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And parting his garments among them, they cast lots.
|
|

|
|
І стояли люди і дивилися. Насміхалися ж разом з ними і начальники, кажучи: інших спасав; нехай спасе Себе, якщо Він Христос, Божий обранець.
|
And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them scoffed at him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if this is the Christ, the chosen of God.
|

|
Глузували з Нього і воїни, підходячи та підносячи Йому оцет,
|
And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
|
|
37
|

|
|
і казали: якщо Ти Цар Юдейський, спасися Сам.
|
and saying, If thou art the King of the Jews, save thyself.
|
|

|
38
|
|
І був над Ним напис, написаний письмом грецьким, римським і єврейським: «Цей є Цар Юдейський».
|
And there was also a superscription written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
|

|
|
Один з розіп’ятих злочинців хулив Його, говорячи: якщо Ти Христос, спаси Себе і нас.
|
And one of the malefactors that were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou art the Christ, save thyself and us.
|
|

|
|
Озвався і другий, і докоряв тому, і казав: чи ти не боїшся Бога, коли й сам на те саме засуджений?
|
But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost thou not even fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
|
|

|
41
|
|
І ми засуджені справедливо, бо достойне за діла наші одержали; а Він нічого лихого не вчинив.
|
And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
|
|

|

|
|
І сказав Ісусові: пом’яни мене, Господи, коли прийдеш у Царство Твоє!
|
And he said unto Jesus, Remember me, Lord, when thou comest in thy kingdom.
|
|
43
|
43
|
|
І сказав йому Ісус: істинно кажу тобі: сьогодні ж будеш зі Мною в раю.
|
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise.
|
|

|
44
|
|
Було ж близько шостої години*, і настала темрява по всій землі аж до години дев’ятої.
|
And it was about the sixth hour, and a darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour.
|
|

|

|
|
І сонце затьмарилось, і завіса в храмі роздерлася посередині.
|
And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
|
|

|
|
Скрикнувши гучним голосом, Ісус сказав: Отче, у Твої руки віддаю дух Мій. І, сказавши це, віддав дух.
|
And Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands will I commend my spirit: and having said these things, he gave up the ghost.
|

|
Сотник же, побачивши, що сталося, прославив Бога і сказав: воістину Чоловік Цей був праведний.
|
And when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
|
|

|
|
І весь народ, який зійшовся на це видовище, побачивши, що сталося, повертався, б’ючи себе в груди.
|
And all the multitudes that came together to this sight, beholding the things that were done, returned smiting their breasts.
|
|

|
|
Всі ж, хто знав Його, і жінки, які прийшли з Ним з Галилеї, стояли віддалік і дивилися на це.
|
And all his acquaintance, and the women that had followed with him from Galilee, stood afar off, seeing these things.
|
|

|
50
|
|
І ось один чоловік на ім’я Йосиф, що був радником*, чоловік благий і праведний,
|
And behold, a man named Joseph, who was a councilor, a good and righteous man
|
|
51
|
51
|
|
який не брав участи у раді і справі їхній, з Аримафеї, міста юдейського, який і сам сподівався Царства Божого,
|
(he had not consented to their counsel and deed), a man of Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who also himself was looking for the kingdom of God:
|
|
52
|
52
|
|
прийшов до Пилата і просив тіло Ісусове.
|
this man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.
|
|

|
53
|
|
І, знявши Його, обгорнув плащаницею і поклав Його у гробі, висіченому в скелі, де ще ніхто ніколи не був покладений.
|
And he took it down, and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn in stone, where never man had yet lain.
|
|

|
|
День той був п’ятниця, і надходила субота.
|
And that day was the Preparation; the sabbath drew on.
|
|

|
55
|
|
Слідом же йшли жінки, які прийшли з Ісусом з Галилеї, і бачили гріб, і як покладено було тіло Його.
|
And the women, who had come with him out of Galilee, followed after, and beheld the tomb, and how his body was laid.
|
|
56
|
56
|
|
Повернувшися, вони наготували пахощі та миро і в суботу нічого не робили, за заповіддю.
|
And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments. And on the sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
