Chapter 29
1
1
| Творsй ми1лость взаи1мъ дaстъ и4скреннему, и3 ўкрэплszй рyку свою2 соблюдaетъ зaпwвэди. | He that is merciful will lend unto his neighbour; and he that strengtheneth his hand keepeth the commandments. |
2
2
| Дaждь взаи1мъ и4скреннему во врeмz трeбованіz є3гw2 и3 пaки воздaждь и4скреннему во врeмz: | Lend to thy neighbour in time of his need, and pay thou thy neighbour again in due season. |
3
3
2. | Keep thy word, and deal faithfully with him, and thou shalt always find the thing that is necessary for thee. |
4
4
| Мн0зи ћкw њбрётеніе возмнёша заимовaніе и3 задaша трyдъ пом0щникwмъ и4хъ: | Many, when a thing was lent them, reckoned it to be found, and put them to trouble that helped them. |
5
5
| д0ндеже в0зметъ, њблобызaетъ рyцэ є3гw2 и3 на и3мёніе и4скреннzгw смири1тъ глaсъ: | Till he hath received, he will kiss a man's hand; and for his neighbour's money he will speak submissively: but when he should repay, he will prolong the time, and return words of grief, and complain of the time. |
6
6
| If he prevail, he shall hardly receive the half, and he will count as if he had found it: if not, he hath deprived him of his money, and he hath gotten him an enemy without cause: he payeth him with cursings and railings; and for honour he will pay him disgrace. |
7
7
| Ѓще же возм0жетъ воздaти, є3двA полови1ну принесeтъ и3 вмэни1тъ є5 ћкw њбрётеніе: | Many therefore have refused to lend for other men's ill dealing, fearing to be defrauded. |
8
8
| ѓще же ни2, лиши2 є3го2 и3мёній свои1хъ и3 стzжA є3го2 врагA тyне: | Yet have thou patience with a man in poor estate, and delay not to shew him mercy. |
9
9
| кл‰твы и3 ўкори6зны воздaстъ є3мY и3 вмёстw слaвы воздaстъ є3мY безчeстіе. | Help the poor for the commandment's sake, and turn him not away because of his poverty. |
10
10
| Lose thy money for thy brother and thy friend, and let it not rust under a stone to be lost. |
11
11
| Nбaче смирeнному долготерпи2 и3 ми1лостынею не продолжи2 є3гw2: | Lay up thy treasure according to the commandments of the most High, and it shall bring thee more profit than gold. |
12
12
A. | Shut up alms in thy storehouses: and it shall deliver thee from all affliction. |
13
13
| Погуби2 сребро2 брaта рaди и3 дрyга, и3 да не њржaвэетъ под8 кaменемъ во пaгубу. | It shall fight for thee against thine enemies better than a mighty shield and strong spear. |
14
14
| Положи2 сокр0вище своE по зaповэдемъ вhшнzгw, и3 ўп0льзуетъ тS пaче нeжели злaто. | An honest man is surety for his neighbour: but he that is impudent will forsake him. |
15
15
| Затвори2 ми1лостыню во клётехъ твои1хъ, и3 тA и4зметъ тS t всsкагw њѕлоблeніz: | Forget not the friendship of thy surety, for he hath given his life for thee. |
16
16
| пaче щитA твeрда и3 пaче копіS тsжка, проти1ву врагY поб0ретъ по тебЁ. | A sinner will overthrow the good estate of his surety: |
17
17
2. | and he that is of an unthankful mind will leave him in danger that delivered him. |
18
18
S. | Suretyship hath undone many of good estate, and shaken them as a wave of the sea: mighty men hath it driven from their houses, so that they wandered among strange nations. |
19
19
| Д0брое поручeніе tвращaетъ грёшникъ, неблагодaрный же мhслію њстaвитъ и3збaвльшаго и5. | A wicked man transgressing the commandments of the Lord shall fall into suretyship: and he that undertaketh and followeth other men's business for gain shall fall into suits. |
20
20
| Поручeніе мн0гихъ погуби2 благоуправлsющихъ и3 поколебA и5хъ ћкw волнA морскaz: | Help thy neighbour according to thy power, and beware that thou thyself fall not into the same. |
21
21
| The chief thing for life is water, and bread, and clothing, and a house to cover shame. |
22
22
2. | Better is the life of a poor man in a mean cottage, than delicate fare in another man's house. |
23
23
| Be it little or much, hold thee contented, |
24
24
| for it is a miserable life to go from house to house: for where thou art a stranger, thou darest not open thy mouth. |
25
25
| Thou shalt entertain, and feast, and have no thanks: moreover thou shalt hear bitter words: |
26
26
| Come, thou stranger, and furnish a table, and feed me of that thou hast ready. |
27
27
| Жив0тъ ѕ0лъ и3з8 д0му въ д0мъ, и3 ѓможе пресели1шисz, не tвeрзеши ќстъ свои1хъ: | Give place, thou stranger, to an honourable man; my brother cometh to be lodged, and I have need of mine house. |
28
28
| ўгости1ши и3 напои1ши неблагодaрныхъ, и3 къ си6мъ ѕло2 ўслhшиши: | These things are grievous to a man of understanding; the upbraiding of houseroom, and reproaching of the lender. |
29
30
| и3зhди, пришeлче, t лицA слaвы, пріи1де бо мнЁ въ гHсти брaтъ, и3 потрeба д0му. | |
31
| Тzжк† сі‰ человёку и3мyщу рaзумъ, запрещeніе хрaмины и3 поношeніе заимодaвца. |
