This Psalm is a genuine one of David, though supernumerary, composed when he fought in single combat with Goliad. I was small among my brethren, and youngest in my father's house: I tended my father's sheep.

Се́й ѱало́мъ ѡ҆со́бь пи́санъ, дв҃довъ, и҆ внѣ̀ числа̀ р҃н҃ ѱалмѡ́въ, внегда̀ є҆динобо́рствоваше на голїа́ѳа

My hands formed a musical instrument, and my fingers tuned a psaltery.

Ма́лъ бѣ́хъ въ бра́тїи мое́й и҆ ю҆́ншїй въ домꙋ̀ ѻ҆тца̀ моегѡ̀: пасо́хъ ѻ҆́вцы ѻ҆тца̀ моегѡ̀.

And who shall tell my Lord? the Lord himself, he himself hears.

Рꙋ́цѣ моѝ сотвори́стѣ ѻ҆рга́нъ, и҆ пе́рсты моѝ соста́виша ѱалти́рь.

He sent forth his angel, and took me from my father's sheep, and he anointed me with the oil of his anointing.

И҆ кто̀ возвѣсти́тъ гдⷭ҇еви моемꙋ̀; Са́мъ гдⷭ҇ь, са́мъ оу҆слы́шитъ:

My brothers were handsome and tall; but the Lord did not take pleasure in them.

Са́мъ посла̀ а҆́гг҃ла своего̀, и҆ взѧ́тъ мѧ̀ ѿ ѻ҆ве́цъ ѻ҆тца̀ моегѡ̀, и҆ пома́за мѧ̀ є҆ле́емъ пома́занїѧ своегѡ̀.

I went forth to meet the Philistine; and he cursed me by his idols.

Бра́тїѧ моѧ̑ добрѝ и҆ вели́цы: и҆ не бл҃говолѝ въ ни́хъ гдⷭ҇ь.

But I drew his own sword, and beheaded him, and removed reproach from the children of Israel.

И҆зыдо́хъ въ срѣ́тенїе и҆ноплеме́нникꙋ, и҆ проклѧ́тъ мѧ̀ і҆́дѡлы свои́ми.
