| Wait for me yet a little while, that I may teach thee: for there is yet speech in me. | почекай мене трохи, і я покажу тобі, що я маю ще дещо сказати за Бога. |

|
| Having fetched my knowledge from afar, and according to my works, | Почну мої міркування здалеку, і воздам Творцю моєму справедливість, |

|
| I will speak just things truly, and thou shalt not unjustly receive unjust words. | тому що слова мої точно не лжа: перед тобою — довершений у пізнаннях. |
|

|
| But know that the Lord will not cast off an innocent man: being mighty in strength of wisdom, | Ось, Бог могутній і не нехтує сильним міцністю серця; |
|

|

|
| he will not by any means save alive the ungodly: and he will grant the judgment of the poor. | Він не підтримує нечестивих і відплачує належне пригнобленим; |
|

|
| He will not turn away his eyes from the righteous, but they shall be with kings on the throne: and he will establish them in triumph, and they shall be exalted. | Він не відвертає очей Своїх від праведників, але з царями назавжди посаджує їх на престолі, і вони підносяться. |

|
| But they that are bound in fetters shall be holden in cords of poverty. | Якщо ж вони закуті ланцюгами й утримуються в кайданах біди, |

|
| And he shall recount to them their works, and their transgressions, for such will act with violence. | то Він вказує їм на діла їхні і на беззаконня їхні, тому що примножилися, |

|
| But he will hearken to the righteous: and he has said that they shall turn from unrighteousness. | і відкриває їх вухо для напоумлення і говорить їм, щоб вони відступили від нечестя. |

|
| If they should hear and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in honour. | Якщо послухають і будуть служити Йому, то проведуть дні свої у благополуччі і літа свої в радості; |
|

|
| But he preserves not the ungodly; because they are not willing to know the Lord, and because when reproved they were disobedient. | якщо ж не послухають, то загинуть від стріли і помруть у нерозумі. |
|

|
| And the hypocrites in heart will array wrath against themselves; they will not cry, because he has bound them. | Але лицеміри живлять у серці гнів і не взивають до Нього, коли Він заковує їх у кайдани; |
|

|

|
| Therefore let their soul die in youth, and their life be wounded by messengers of death. | тому душа їх помирає у молодості і життя їх із блудниками. |
|

|
15
|
| Because they afflicted the weak and helpless: and he will vindicate the judgment of the meek. | Він спасає бідного від лиха його й у пригнобленні відкриває вухо його. |
|

|
| And he has also enticed thee out of the mouth of the enemy: | І тебе вивів би Він з тісноти на простір, де немає стиснення, і те, що ставиться на стіл твій, було б наповнене жиром; |

|
| there is a deep gulf and a rushing stream beneath it, and thy table came down full of fatness. Judgment shall not fail from the righteous; | але ти сповнений судженнями нечестивих: судження й осудження — близькі. |
|

|
| but there shall be wrath upon the ungodly, by reason of the ungodliness of the bribes which they received for iniquities. | Нехай не вразить тебе гнів Божий покаранням! Великий викуп не спасе тебе. |
|

|
| Let not thy mind willingly turn thee aside from the petition of the feeble that are in distress. | Чи дасть Він яку ціну твоєму багатству? Ні, — ні золоту і ніякому скарбу. |
|

|
| And draw not forth all the mighty men by night, so that the people should go up instead of them. | Не бажай тієї ночі, коли народи знищуються на своєму місці. |
|

|
| But take heed lest thou do that which is wrong: for of this thou hast made choice because of poverty. | Бережися, не схиляйся до нечестя, якому ти віддав перевагу перед стражданнями. |

|
| Behold, the Mighty One shall prevail by his strength: for who is powerful as he is? | Бог високий могутністю Своєю, і хто такий, як Він, наставник? |

|
| And who is he that examines his works? or who can say, He has wrought injustice? | Хто вкаже Йому путь Його; хто може сказати: Ти чиниш несправедливо? |

|
| Remember that his works are great beyond those which men have attempted. | Пам’ятай про те, щоб звеличувати діла Його, які люди бачать. |

|
| Every man has seen in himself, how many mortals are wounded. | Усі люди можуть бачити їх; людина може бачати їх здаля. |

|
| Behold, the Mighty One is great, and we shall not know him: the number of his years is even infinite. | Ось, Бог великий, і ми не можемо пізнати Його; число років Його недослідиме. |

|
| And the drops of rain are numbered by him, and shall be poured out in rain to form a cloud. | Він збирає краплі води; вони в безлічі виливаються дощем: |

|
| The ancient heavens shall flow, and the clouds overshadow innumerable mortals: | із хмар падають і виливаються рясно на людей. |

|
| he has fixed a time to cattle, and they know the order of rest. | |
|

|
|
| Yet by all these things thy understanding is not astonished, neither is thy mind disturbed in thy body. | |
|

|
| And though one should understand the outspreadings of the clouds, or the measure of his tabernacle; | Хто може також осягнути простір хмар, тріщання намету Його? |

|
| behold he will stretch his bow against him, and he covers the bottom of the sea. | Ось, Він посилає на нього світло Своє і покриває дно моря. |

|
| For by them he will judge the nations: he will give food to him that has strength. | Звідти Він судить народи, дає їжу в достатку. |
|

|
| He has hidden the light in his hands, and given charge concerning it to the interposing cloud. | Він ховає в долонях Своїх блискавку і повеліває їй, кого вразити. |
|

|
| The Lord will declare concerning this to his friend: but there is a portion also for unrighteousness. | Тріскотіння її дає звістку про неї; худоба також відчуває, що відбувається. |
