| І благословив Бог Ноя і синів його і сказав їм: плодіться і розмножуйтеся, і наповнюйте землю, [і володійте нею]; | And God blessed Noe and his sons, and said to them, Increase and multiply, and fill the earth and have dominion over it. |

|
| нехай бояться вас і нехай тремтять перед вами усі звірі земні, [і вся худоба земна,] і всі птахи небесні, все, що рухається на землі, й усі риби морські: у ваші руки віддані вони; | And the dread and the fear of you shall be upon all the wild beasts of the earth, on all the birds of the sky, and on all things moving upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea, I have placed them under your power. |

| все, що рухається, що живе, буде вам у їжу; як зелень трав’яну даю вам усе; | And every reptile which is living shall be to you for meat, I have given all things to you as the green herbs. |

|
| тільки плоті з душею її, з кров’ю її, не їжте; | But flesh with blood of life ye shall not eat. |
|

|

|
| Я стягну і вашу кров, у якій життя ваше, стягну її від усякого звіра, стягну також душу людини від руки людини, від руки брата її; | For your blood of your lives will I require at the hand of all wild beasts, and I will require the life of man at the hand of his brother man. |
|

|
| хто проллє кров людську, того кров проллється рукою людини: бо людина створена за образом Божим; | He that sheds man's blood, instead of that blood shall his own be shed, for in the image of God I made man. |
|

|
| ви ж плодіться і розмножуйтесь, і розповсюджуйтеся по землі, і примножуйтеся на ній. | But do ye increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and have dominion over it. |
|

|
| І сказав Бог Ною і синам його з ним: | And God spoke to Noe, and to his sons with him, saying, |

|
| ось, Я укладу завіт Мій з вами і з нащадками вашими після вас, | And behold I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you, |
|
10
|
10
|
| і з усякою душею живою, що з вами, із птахами і з худобою, і з усіма звірами земними, які у вас, з усіма, що вийшли з ковчега, з усіма тваринами земними; | and with every living creature with you, of birds and of beasts, and with all the wild beasts of the earth, as many as are with you, of all that come out of the ark. |

| укладу завіт Мій з вами, що не буде більше знищена всяка плоть водами потопу, і не буде вже потопу на спустошення землі. | And I will establish my covenant with you and all flesh shall not any more die by the water of the flood, and there shall no more be a flood of water to destroy all the earth. |
|

|
| І сказав [Господь] Бог: ось знамення завіту, який Я укладаю між Мною і між вами і між усякою душею живою, що з вами, в роди назавжди: | And the Lord God said to Noe, This is the sign of the covenant which I set between me and you, and between every living creature which is with you for perpetual generations. |

| Я покладаю веселку Мою у хмарі, щоб вона була знаменням [вічного] завіту між Мною і між землею. | I set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of covenant between me and the earth. |
|

|

|
| І буде, коли Я наведу хмару на землю, то з’явиться веселка [Моя] у хмарі; | And it shall be when I gather clouds upon the earth, that my bow shall be seen in the cloud. |
|
15
|
15
|
| і Я згадаю завіт Мій, що між Мною і між вами і між усякою душею живою в усякій плоті; і не буде більше вода потопом на знищення всякої плоті. | And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you, and between every living soul in all flesh, and there shall no longer be water for a deluge, so as to blot out all flesh. |

| І буде веселка [Моя] у хмарі, і Я побачу її, і згадаю завіт вічний між Богом [і між землею] і між усякою душею живою в усякій плоті, що на землі. | And my bow shall be in the cloud, and I will look to remember the everlasting covenant between me and the earth, and between every living soul in all flesh, which is upon the earth. |

| І сказав Бог Ною: ось знамення завіту, який Я уклав між Мною і між усякою плоттю, що на землі. | And God said to Noe, This is the sign of the covenant, which I have made between me and all flesh, which is upon the earth. |
|

|
| Сини Ноєві, що вийшли з ковчега, були: Сим, Хам і Яфет. Хам же був батьком Ханаана. | Now the sons of Noe which came out of the ark, were Sem, Cham, Japheth. And Cham was father of Chanaan. |
|

|
| Ці троє були синами Ноєвими, і від них заселилась уся земля. | These three are the sons of Noe, of these were men scattered over all the earth. |
|

|
| Ной почав обробляти землю і насадив виноградник; | And Noe began to be a husbandman, and he planted a vineyard. |
|
21
|
21
|
| і випив він вина, і сп’янів, і лежав оголеним у наметі своєму. | And he drank of the wine, and was drunk, and was naked in his house. |
|
22
|
22
|
| І побачив Хам, батько Ханаана, наготу батька свого, і, вийшовши, розповів двом братам своїм. | And Cham the father of Chanaan saw the nakedness of his father, and he went out and told his two brothers without. |
|

|

|
| Сим же і Яфет взяли одяг і, поклавши його на плечі свої, пішли задом і покрили наготу батька свого; обличчя їхні були повернені назад, і вони не бачили наготи батька свого. | And Sem and Japheth having taken a garment, put it on both their backs and went backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their face was backward, and they saw not the nakedness of their father. |

| Ной витверезів від вина свого і довідався, що вчинив над ним менший син його, | And Noe recovered from the wine, and knew all that his younger son had done to him. |
|

25
|
| і сказав: проклятий Ханаан; раб рабів буде він у братів своїх. | And he said, Cursed be the servant Chanaan, a slave shall he be to his brethren. |
|

|

|
| Потім сказав: благословенний Господь Бог Симів; Ханаан же буде рабом йому; | And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Sem, and Chanaan shall be his bond-servant. |
|
27
|
27
|
| нехай поширить Бог Яфета, нехай оселиться він у наметах Симових; Ханаан же буде рабом йому. | May God make room for Japheth, and let him dwell in the habitations of Sem, and let Chanaan be his servant. |
|

|

|
| І жив Ной після потопу триста п’ятдесят років. | And Noe lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. |
|
29
|
29
|
| Усіх же днів Ноєвих було дев’ятсот п’ятдесят років, і він помер. | And all the days of Noe were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died. |
