| Той, хто боїться Господа, буде робити так, і твердий у законі оволодіє нею. | He that feareth the Lord will do good; and he that hath the knowledge of the law shall obtain her; |

| І вона зустріне його, як мати, і прийме його до себе, як цнотлива дружина; | and as a mother shall she meet him, and receive him as a wife married of a virgin. |
|

|
| наситить його хлібом розуму, і водою мудрости напоїть його. | With the bread of understanding shall she feed him, and give him the water of wisdom to drink. |
|

|
| Він утвердиться на ній і не завагається; приліпиться до неї і не посоромиться. | He shall be stayed upon her, and shall not be moved; and shall rely upon her, and shall not be confounded. |
|

|
| І вона піднесе його над ближніми його, і серед зібрання відкриє вуста його. | She shall exalt him above his neighbours, and in the midst of the congregation shall she open his mouth. |
|

|
| Веселощі і вінець радости і вічне ім’я успадкує він. | He shall find joy and a crown of gladness, and she shall cause him to inherit an everlasting name. |

|
| Не осягнуть її люди нерозумні, і грішники не побачать її. | But foolish men shall not attain unto her, and sinners shall not see her. |

|
| Далека вона від гордости, і люди неправдиві не подумають про неї. | For she is far from pride, and men that are liars cannot remember her. |
|

|
| Неприємна похвала в устах грішника, бо не від Господа послана вона. | Praise is not seemly in the mouth of a sinner, for it was not sent him of the Lord. |
|

|
| Буде похвала сказана мудрістю, і Господь благопоспішить їй. | For praise shall be uttered in wisdom, and the Lord will prosper it. |

|
| Не говори: «заради Господа я відступив»; бо, що Він ненавидить, того ти не повинен робити. | Say not thou, It is through the Lord that I fell away: for thou oughtest not to do the things that he hateth. |
|

| Не говори: «Він увів мене в оману», бо Він не має потреби у чоловікові грішному. | Say not thou, He hath caused me to err: for he hath no need of the sinful man. |
|

|
| Усяку мерзоту Господь ненавидить, і неприємна вона тим, хто боїться Його. | The Lord hateth all abomination; and they that fear God love it not. |
|

|
| Він від початку створив людину і залишив її у руках волі її. | He himself made man from the beginning, and left him in the hand of his counsel; |
|

|
| Якщо хочеш, дотримуватимешся заповідей і збережеш благоугодну вірність. | if thou wilt, to keep the commandments, and to perform acceptable faithfulness. |
|

|
| Він запропонував тобі вогонь і воду: на що хочеш, простягнеш руку твою. | He hath set fire and water before thee: stretch forth thy hand unto whether thou wilt. |

|
| Перед людиною життя і смерть, і чого вона побажає, те і дасться їй. | Before man is life and death; and whether he liketh shall be given him. |
|

|
| Велика премудрість Господа, міцний Він могутністю і бачить усе. | For the wisdom of the Lord is great, and he is mighty in power, and beholdeth all things: |
|

|
| Очі Його — на тих, що бояться Його, і Він знає всяке діло людини. | and his eyes are upon them that fear him, and he knoweth every work of man. |
|
20
|
20
|
| Нікому не заповів Він чинити нечестиво і нікому не дав дозволу грішити. | He hath commanded no man to do wickedly, neither hath he given any man licence to sin. |
