Сину мій! якщо ти приступаєш служити Господу Богу, то приготуй душу твою до спокуси:
|
My son, if thou come to serve the Lord God, prepare thy soul for temptation.
|

|
|
управ серце твоє і будь твердим, і не знічуйся під час відвідування;
|
Set thy heart aright, and constantly endure, and make not haste in time of trouble.
|
|

|

|
|
приліпися до Нього і не відступай, щоб звеличитися тобі наостанок.
|
Cleave unto him, and depart not away, that thou mayest be increased at thy last end.
|
|

|
|
Усе, що станеться з тобою, приймай охоче, і в мінливостях твого приниження будь довготерплячим,
|
Whatsoever is brought upon thee take cheerfully, and be patient when thou art changed to a low estate.
|
|

|
|
бо золото випробовується у вогні, а люди, угодні Богу, у горнилі приниження.
|
For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity.
|
|

|
|
Віруй Йому, і Він захистить тебе; управ путі твої і надійся на Нього.
|
Believe in him, and he will help thee; order thy way aright, and trust in him.
|
|

|
|
Ті, хто боїться Господа! очікуйте милости Його і не ухиляйтеся від Нього, щоб не упасти.
|
Ye that fear the Lord, wait for his mercy; and go not aside, lest ye fall.
|
|
8
|

|
|
Хто боїться Господа! віруйте Йому, і не загине нагорода ваша.
|
Ye that fear the Lord, believe him; and your reward shall not fail.
|
|

|
|
Ті, хто боїться Господа! сподівайтеся на благе, на радість вічну і милості.
|
Ye that fear the Lord, hope for good, and for everlasting joy and mercy.
|
|

|
|
Гляньте на давні роди і подивіться: хто вірив Господу — і був посоромлений? або хто перебував у страху Його — і був залишений? або хто волав до Нього, і Він знехтував його?
|
Look at the generations of old, and see; did ever any trust in the Lord, and was confounded? or did any abide in his fear, and was forsaken? or whom did he ever despise, that called upon him?
|

|
Бо Господь співстраждальний і милостивий і прощає гріхи, і спасає під час скорботи.
|
For the Lord is full of compassion and mercy, longsuffering, and very pitiful, and forgiveth sins, and saveth in time of affliction.
|
|

|
|
Горе серцям боязким і рукам ослабленим і грішникові, який ходить по двох стежках!
|
Woe be to fearful hearts, and faint hands, and the sinner that goeth two ways!
|
|

|
|
Горе серцю розслабленому! бо воно не вірує, і за те не буде захищене.
|
Woe unto him that is fainthearted! for he believeth not; therefore shall he not be defended.
|
|

|
|
Горе вам, що втратили терпіння! що ви будете робити, коли Господь відвідає?
|
Woe unto you that have lost patience! and what will ye do when the Lord shall visit you?
|
|

|
|
Ті, хто боїться Господа, не будуть недовірливі до слів Його, і ті, що люблять Його, збережуть путі Його.
|
They that fear the Lord will not disobey his word; and they that love him will keep his ways.
|
|

|
|
Ті, хто боїться Господа, будуть шукати благовоління Його, і ті, що люблять Його, наситяться законом.
|
They that fear the Lord will seek that which is wellpleasing unto him; and they that love him shall be filled with the law.
|
|

|
|
Ті, хто боїться Господа, підготують серця свої й смирять перед Ним душі свої, говорячи:
|
They that fear the Lord will prepare their hearts, and humble their souls in his sight,
|
|

|
|
упадемо у руки Господа, а не у руки людей; бо яка велич Його, така і милість Його.
|
saying, We will fall into the hands of the Lord, and not into the hands of men: for as his majesty is, so is his mercy.
