| Господь створив людину із землі, і знову повертає її у неї. | The Lord created man of the earth, and turned him into it again. |
|

|
| Визначене число днів і час Він дав їм, і дав їм владу над усім, що на ній. | He gave them few days, and a short time, and power also over the things therein. |
|

|

|
| За природою їх, наділив їх силою і створив їх за образом Своїм, | He endued them with strength by themselves, and made them according to his image, |
|

|

|
| і вклав страх до них у всяку плоть, щоб вони володіли звірами і птахами. | and put the fear of man upon all flesh, and gave him dominion over beasts and fowls. |
|

|
|
| Він дав їм сенс, мову й очі, і вуха і серце для розмірковування, | |
|
6
|
6
|
| сповнив їх проникливістю розуму і показав їм добро і зло. | Counsel, and a tongue, and eyes, ears, and a heart, gave he them to understand. |
|

|

|
| Він поклав око Своє на серця їх, щоб показати їм велич діл Своїх, | Withal he filled them with the knowledge of understanding, and shewed them good and evil. |
|

|
8
|
| нехай прославляють вони святе ім’я Його і звіщають про велич діл Його. | He set his eye upon their hearts, that he might shew them the greatness of his works; |
|
9
|
|
| Він приклав їм знання і дав їм у спадщину закон життя; | |
|
10
|
10
|
| вічний завіт уклав з ними і показав їм суди Свої. | and they shall praise his holy name, that they may search out his marvellous works. |
|

|
11
|
| Велич слави бачили очі їх, і славу голосу Його чуло вухо їх. | Beside this he gave them knowledge, and the law of life for an heritage. |
|

|

|
| І сказав Він їм: «остерігайтеся всякої неправди»; і заповів кожному з них обов’язок до ближнього. | He made an everlasting covenant with them, and shewed them his judgments. |
|

|

|
| Путі їх завжди перед Ним, не сховаються від очей Його. | Their eyes saw the majesty of his glory, and their ears heard his glorious voice. |
|
14
|

|
| Кожному народу поставив Він вождя, | And he said unto them, Beware of all unrighteousness; and he gave every man commandment concerning his neighbour. |
|
15
|
15
|
| а Ізраїль є наділом Господа. | Their ways are ever before him, and shall not be hid from his eyes. |
|
16
|
|
| Усі діла їх — як сонце перед Ним, і очі Його завжди на путях їх. | |
|
17
|
17
|
| Не втаїлися від Нього неправди їх, і всі гріхи їх — перед Господом. | For in the division of the nations of the whole earth he set a ruler over every people; but Israel is the Lord's portion: |

|
| Милостиня людини — як печатка у Нього, і благодіяння людини збереже Він, як зіницю ока. | |
|
19
|

|
| Потім Він повстане і воздасть їм, і даток їх на голову їх поверне. | Therefore all their works are as the sun before him, and his eyes are continually upon their ways. |
|
20
|
20
|
| Але тим, хто розкаювався, Він давав навернення і підбадьорював тих, хто слабшав у терпінні. | None of their unrighteous deeds are hid from him, but all their sins are before the Lord. |
|

|
|
| Навернися до Господа й облиш гріхи; | |
|
22
|
22
|
| молися перед Ним і зменши твої спотикання. | The alms of a man is as a signet with him, and he will keep the good deeds of man as the apple of the eye, and give repentance to his sons and daughters. |
|

|
23
|
| Повернися до Всевишнього, і відвернися від неправди, і сильно зненавидь мерзоту. | Afterwards he will rise up and reward them, and render their recompence upon their heads. |
|
24
|

|
| Хто буде хвалити Всевишнього у пеклі, замість тих, хто живе і прославляє Його? | But unto them that repent, he granted them return, and comforted those that failed in patience. |
|

|

|
| Від мертвого, як від неіснуючого, немає прославлення: | Return unto the Lord, and forsake thy sins, make thy prayer before his face, and offend less. |
|

|
| живий і здоровий звеличить Господа. | Turn again to the most High, and turn away from iniquity: for he will lead thee out of darkness into the light of health, and hate thou abomination vehemently. |
|

|
27
|
| Як велике милосердя Господа і примирення з тими, хто навертається до Нього! | Who shall praise the most High in the grave, instead of them which live and give thanks? |
|

|
28
|
| Не може бути усього у людині, | Thanksgiving perisheth from the dead, as from one that is not: the living and sound in heart shall praise the Lord. |
|

|
| тому що не безсмертний син людський. | How great is the lovingkindness of the Lord our God, and his compassion unto such as turn unto him in holiness! |
|

|
30
|
| Що світліше за сонце? але і воно затьмарюється. І про лихе буде думати плоть і кров. | For all things cannot be in men, because the son of man is not immortal. |
|

|
| За силами високих небес Він Сам спостерігає, а люди усі — земля і попіл. | What is brighter than the sun? yet the light thereof faileth: and flesh and blood will imagine evil. |
