| Премудрість прославить себе і серед народу свого буде звеличена. | Wisdom shall praise herself, and shall glory in the midst of her people. |

| У церкві Всевишнього вона відкриє вуста свої, і перед воїнством Його буде прославляти себе: | In the congregation of the most High shall she open her mouth, and triumph before his power. |
|

|
| «я вийшла з уст Всевишнього і, подібно до хмари, покрила землю; | I came out of the mouth of the most High, and covered the earth as a cloud. |
|

|
| я поставила скинію на висоті, і престіл мій — у стовпі хмарному; | I dwelt in high places, and my throne is in a cloudy pillar. |
|

|
| я одна обійшла коло небесне і ходила у глибині безодні; | I alone compassed the circuit of heaven, and walked in the bottom of the deep. |

|
| у хвилях моря і по всій землі й у всякому народі та племені мала я володіння: | In the waves of the sea, and in all the earth, and in every people and nation, I got a possession. |
|

|
| між усіма ними я шукала заспокоєння, і у чиїй спадщині оселитися мені. | With all these I sought rest: and in whose inheritance shall I abide? |
|

|
| Тоді Творець усіх повелів мені, і Той, Хто породив мене, указав мені спокійне житло і сказав: | So the Creator of all things gave me a commandment, and he that made me caused my tabernacle to rest, and said, Let thy dwelling be in Jacob, and thine inheritance in Israel. |

| оселися в Якові і прийми спадщину в Ізраїлі. | He created me from the beginning before the world, and I shall never fail. |
|

|
| Раніше віку від початку Він породив мене, і я не помру повіки. | In the holy tabernacle I served before him; and so was I established in Sion. |

|
| Я служила перед Ним у святій скинії і так утвердилася у Сионі. | Likewise in the beloved city he gave me rest, and in Jerusalem was my power. |

|
| Він дав мені також спокій в улюбленому місті, і у Єрусалимі — влада моя. | And I took root in an honourable people, even in the portion of the Lord's inheritance. |

|
| І вкорінилася я у прославленому народі, у спадкоємному наділі Господа. | I was exalted like a cedar in Libanus, and as a cypress tree upon the mountains of Hermon. |
|

|
| Я піднеслася, як кедр на Ливані і як кипарис на горах ермонських; | I was exalted like a palm tree on the sea shore, and as a rose plant in Jericho, as a fair olive tree in a plain, and grew up as a plane tree. |
|

|
| я піднеслася, як пальма в Енгадді і як рожеві кущі у Єрихоні; | I gave a sweet smell like cinnamon and aspalathus, and I yielded a pleasant odour like the best myrrh, as galbanum, and onyx, and sweet storax, and as the fume of frankincense in the tabernacle. |

| я, як красива олива у долині і як платан, піднеслася. | As the turpentine tree I stretched out my branches, and my branches are the branches of honour and grace. |

| Як кориця й аспалаф, я виточила ароматний запах і, як відмінна смирна, поширила пахощі, | As the vine brought I forth pleasant savour, and my flowers are the fruit of honour and riches. |

| як халвані, онікс і стакті і як пахощі ладану у скинії. | |

|
| Я розпростерла свої віти, як теревинф, і віти мої — віти слави і благодаті. | Come unto me, all ye that be desirous of me, and fill yourselves with my fruits. |
|

|
| Я — як виноградна лоза, що виточує благодать, і квіти мої — плід слави і багатства. | For my memorial is sweeter than honey, and mine inheritance than the honeycomb. |
|

|
| Приступіть до мене, хто бажає мене, і насичуйтеся плодами моїми; | They that eat me shall yet be hungry, and they that drink me shall yet be thirsty. |
|

|
| бо спогад про мене солодший за мед, і володіння мною приємніше за медовий стільник. | He that obeyeth me shall never be confounded, and they that work by me shall not do amiss. |
|

|
| Ті, що споживають мене, ще будуть жадати, і ті, що п’ють мене, ще будуть відчувати жагу. | All these things are the book of the covenant of the most high God, even the law which Moses commanded for an heritage unto the congregations of Jacob. |

| Хто слухає мене, не посоромиться, і хто трудиться зі мною, не згрішить. | |

|
| Усе це — книга завіту Бога Всевишнього, | He filleth all things with his wisdom, as Phison and as Tigris in the time of the new fruits. |

| закон, який заповів Мойсей як спадщину сонмам Якова. | He maketh the understanding to abound like Euphrates, and as Jordan in the time of the harvest. |
|

|
| Він насичує мудрістю, як Фисон і як Тигр у дні новин; | He maketh the doctrine of knowledge appear as the light, and as Geon in the time of vintage. |
|

|
| він наповнює розумом, як Євфрат і як Йордан у дні жнив; | The first man knew her not perfectly: no more shall the last find her out. |
|

|
| він розливає вчення, як світло і як Гион у час збирання винограду. | For her thoughts are more than the sea, and her counsels profounder than the great deep. |
|

|
| Перша людина не досягла повного пізнання її; не дослідить її також і остання; | I also came out as a brook from a river, and as a conduit into a garden. |

|
| бо думки її повніші за море, і наміри її глибші за велику безодню. | I said, I will water my best garden, and will water abundantly my garden bed: and, lo, my brook became a river, and my river became a sea. |

|
| І я, як канал з ріки і як водопровід, вийшла у рай. | I will yet make doctrine to shine as the morning, and will send forth her light afar off. |
|

|
| Я сказала: поллю мій сад і напою мої грядки. | I will yet pour out doctrine as prophecy, and leave it to all ages for ever. |
|

|
| І ось, канал мій зробився рікою, і ріка моя зробилася морем. | Behold that I have not laboured for myself only, but for all them that seek wisdom. |
|

|
|
| І буду я сяяти вченням, як ранкове світло, і далеко виявлю його; | |
|
36
|
|
| і буду я виливати вчення, як пророцтво, і залишу його у роди вічні». | |
|
37
|
|
| Бачите, що я трудився не для себе одного, але для усіх, хто шукає премудрости. |
