Thou hast shewn thy people hard things: thou hast made us drink the wine of astonishment.

Показа́л єси́ лю́дем Твої́м жесто́кая; напої́л єси́ нас вино́м умиле́нія.

Бог возглаго́ла во святі́м Своє́м: возра́дуюся, і разділю́ Сики́му, і юдо́ль жили́щ размі́рю.

Judas is my king; Moab is the caldron of my hope; over Idumea will I stretch out my shoe; the Philistines have been subjected to me.

Моа́в — коно́б упова́нія Моєго́; на Ідуме́ю простру́ сапо́г Мой; Мні іноплеме́нници покори́шася.

Who will lead me into the fortified city? who will guide me as far as Idumea?

Кто введе́ть м'я во град огражде́нія? Іли́ кто наста́вить м'я до Ідуме́ї?

Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our forces?

Не Ти ли, Бо́же, отри́нувий нас? І не ізи́деши, Бо́же, в си́лах на́ших?

Give us help from trouble: for vain is the deliverance of man.

Даждь нам по́мощ от ско́рби; і су́єтно спасе́ніє челові́чесько.

In God will we do valiantly; and he shall bring to nought them that harass us.
