| Го́споди Бо́же спаcе́нія моєго́, во дні воззва́х і в нощі́ пред Тобо́ю; | O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried by day and in the night before thee. |

| да вни́деть пред Тя моли́тва моя́, приклони́ у́хо Твоє́ к моле́нію моєму́. | Let my prayer come in before thee; incline thine ear to my supplication, O Lord. |

| Я́ко іспо́лнися зол душа́ моя́, і живо́т мой а́ду прибли́жися. | For my soul is filled with troubles, and my life has drawn nigh to Hades. |

| Привміне́н бих с низходя́щими в ров; бих я́ко челові́к без по́мощі, | I have been reckoned with them that go down to the pit; I became as a man without help; |

| в ме́ртвих свобо́дь; я́ко я́звеннії сп'я́щії во гро́бі, ї́хже не пом'яну́л єси́ ктому́, і ті́ї от руки́ Твоєя́ отринове́ні би́ша. | free among the dead, as the slain ones cast out, who sleep in the tomb; whom thou rememberest no more; and they are rejected from thy hand. |

| Положи́ша м'я в ро́ві преіспо́днім, в те́мних і сі́ні сме́ртній. | They laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places, and in the shadow of death. |

| На мні утверди́ся я́рость Твоя́, і вся во́лни Твоя́ наве́л єси́ на м'я. | Thy wrath has pressed heavily upon me, and thou hast brought upon me all thy billows. Pause. |

| Уда́лил єси́ зна́ємих мої́х от мене́; положи́ша м'я ме́рзость себі́; пре́дан бих і не ісхожда́х. | Thou hast removed my acquaintance far from me; they have made me an abomination to themselves; I have been delivered up, and have not gone forth. |

| О́чі мої́ ізнемого́сті от нищети́; воззва́х к Тебі́, Го́споди, весь день, возді́х к Тебі́ ру́ці мої́. | Mine eyes are dimmed from poverty; but I cried to thee, O Lord, all the day; I spread forth my hands to thee. |

| Єда́ ме́ртвими твори́ши чудеса́? Іли́ вра́чеве воскреся́ть, і іспові́дяться Тебі́? | Wilt thou work wonders for the dead? or shall physicians raise them up, that they shall praise thee? |

| Єда́ пові́сть кто во гро́бі ми́лость Твою́ і і́стину Твою́ в поги́белі? | Shall any one declare thy mercy in the tomb? and thy truth in destruction? |

| Єда́ позна́на бу́дуть во тьмі чудеса́ Твоя́ і пра́вда Твоя́ в землі́ забве́нній? | Shall thy wonders be known in darkness? and thy righteousness in a forgotten land? |

| І аз к Тебі́, Го́споди, воззва́х, і у́тро моли́тва моя́ предвари́ть Тя. | But I cried to thee, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee. |

| Вску́ю, Го́споди, отрі́єши ду́шу мою́? Отвраща́єши лице́ Твоє́ от мене́? | Wherefore, O Lord, dost thou reject my prayer, and turn thy face away from me? |
|

| Нищ єсьм аз і в труді́х от ю́ности моєя́; возне́сжеся смири́хся і ізнемого́х. | I am poor and in troubles from my youth; and having been exalted, I was brought low and into despair. |
|

| На мні прейдо́ша гні́ви Твої́, устраше́нія Твоя́ возмути́ша м'я; | Thy wrath has passed over me; and thy terrors have greatly disquieted me. |

| обидо́ша м'я я́ко вода́ весь день, одержа́ша м'я вку́пі. | They compassed me like water; all the day they beset me together. |

| Уда́лил єси́ от мене́ дру́га і і́скренняго, і зна́ємих мої́х от страсте́й. | Thou hast put far from me every friend, and mine acquaintances because of my wretchedness. |
