A Psalm of David. Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; praise becomes the upright.

Ра́дуйтеся, пра́веднії, о Го́споді; пра́вим подоба́єть похвала́.
|
Praise the Lord on the harp; play to him on a psaltery of ten strings.
|
|

|
|
Іспові́дайтеся Го́сподеві в гу́слех, во псалти́рі десятостру́ннім по́йте Єму́;
|
Sing to him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
|
|

|

|
|
воспо́йте Єму́ піснь но́ву, до́брі по́йте Єму́ со восклица́нієм;
|
For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.
|
|

|

|
|
я́ко пра́во сло́во Госпо́днє, і вся діла́ Єго́ в ві́рі.
|
He loves mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.
|
|

|
|
Лю́бить ми́лостиню і суд Госпо́дь, ми́лости Госпо́дні іспо́лнь земля́.
|
By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
|
|

|
|
Сло́вом Госпо́днім небеса́ утверди́шася, і Ду́хом уст Єго́ вся си́ла їх;
|
Who gathers the waters of the sea as in a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.
|
|

|
8
|
|
собира́яй, я́ко міх, во́ди морські́я, полага́яй в сокро́вищих бе́здни.
|
Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.
|
|

|
9
|
|
Да убої́ться Го́спода вся земля́, от Него́же да подви́жуться всі живу́щії по вселе́нній;
|
For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
|
|

|
10
|
|
я́ко Той рече́ — і би́ша; Той повелі́ — і созда́шася.
|
The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nought also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nought the counsels of princes.
|
|

|
11
|
|
Госпо́дь разоря́єть сові́ти язи́ков, отмета́єть же ми́слі люді́й і отмета́єть сові́ти князе́й.
|
But the counsel of the Lord endures for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
|
|

|
|
Сові́т же Госпо́день во вік пребива́єть, помишле́нія се́рдця Єго́ — в род і род.
|
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
|
|

|
|
Блаже́н язи́к, єму́же єсть Госпо́дь Бог Єго́, — лю́діє, я́же ізбра́ в наслі́діє Себі́.
|
The Lord looks out of heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.
|
|

|
|
С небесе́ призрі́ Госпо́дь, ви́ді вся си́ни челові́чеськія;
|
He looks from his prepared habitation on all the dwellers on the earth;
|
|
14
|
15
|
|
от гото́ваго жили́ща Своєго́ призрі́ на вся живу́щия на землі́;
|
who fashioned their hearts alone; who understands all their works.
|
|

|
16
|
|
созда́вий на єди́ні сердця́ їх, разуміва́яй на вся діла́ їх.
|
A king is not saved by reason of a great host; and a giant shall not be delivered by the greatness of his strength.
|
|

|
17
|
|
Не спаса́ється цар мно́гою си́лою, і ісполи́н не спасе́ться мно́жеством крі́пости своєя́.
|
A horse is vain for safety; neither shall he be delivered by the greatness of his power.
|
|

|
18
|
|
Ложь конь во спасе́ніє, во мно́жестві же си́ли своєя́ не спасе́ться.
|
Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear him, those that hope in his mercy;
|
|

|
19
|
|
Се, о́чі Госпо́дні на боя́щияся Єго́, упова́ющия на ми́лость Єго́;
|
to deliver their souls from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
|
|
19
|
20
|
|
ізба́вити от сме́рти ду́ші їх, і препита́ти я в глад.
|
Our soul waits on the Lord; for he is our helper and defender.
|
|
20
|
21
|
|
Душа́ же на́ша ча́єть Го́спода, я́ко помо́щник і защи́титель наш єсть;
|
For our heart shall rejoice in him, and we have hoped in his holy name.
|
|

|
22
|
|
я́ко о Нем возвесели́ться се́рдце на́ше, і во і́м'я свято́є Єго́ упова́хом.
|
Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.
|
|
22
|
|
|
Бу́ди, Го́споди, ми́лость Твоя́ на нас, я́коже упова́хом на Тя.
|
