| Внуши́, Бо́же, моли́тву мою́ і не пре́зри моле́нія моєго́; | Hearken, O God, to my prayer; and disregard not my supplication. |

| воньми́ мі і усли́ши м'я; возскорбі́х печа́лію моє́ю [во іскуше́нії моє́м], і см'ято́хся | Attend to me, and hearken to me: I was grieved in my meditation, and troubled; |

| от гла́са вра́жия і от стуже́нія грі́шнича; я́ко уклони́ша на м'я беззако́ніє і во гні́ві враждова́ху мі. | because of the voice of the enemy, and because of the oppression of the sinner: for they brought iniquity against me, and were wrathfully angry with me. |

| Се́рдце моє́ см'яте́ся во мні, і боя́знь сме́рти нападе́ на м'я; | My heart was troubled within me; and the fear of death fell upon me. |

| страх і тре́пет при́йде на м'я, і покри́ м'я тьма. | Fear and trembling came upon me, and darkness covered me. |
|

| І ріх: кто дасть мі крилі́ я́ко голуби́ні? І полещу́, і почи́ю. | And I said, O that I had wings as those of a dove! then would I flee away, and be at rest. |
|

|
| Се, удали́хся бі́гая і водвори́хся в пусти́ні. | Lo! I have fled afar off, and lodged in the wilderness. Pause. |

|
| Ча́ях Бо́га спаса́ющаго м'я от малоду́шія і от бу́рі. | I waited for him that should deliver me from distress of spirit and tempest. |
|

|
| Потопи́, Го́споди, і разділи́ язи́ки їх; я́ко ви́діх беззако́ніє і преріка́ніє во гра́ді. | Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen iniquity and gainsaying in the city. |
|

| Днем і но́щію оби́деть ї по стіна́м єго́; беззако́ніє і труд посреді́ єго́, і непра́вда; | Day and night he shall go round about it upon its walls: iniquity and sorrow and unrighteousness are in the midst of it; |

| і не оскуді́ от стогн єго́ ли́хва і лесть. | and usury and craft have not failed from its streets. |
|

|
| Я́ко а́ще би враг поноси́л мі, претерпі́л бих у́бо; і а́ще би ненави́дяй м'я на м'я велері́чевал, укри́лбихся от него́. | For if an enemy had reproached me, I would have endured it; and if one who hated me had spoken vauntingly against me, I would have hid myself from him. |

| Ти же, челові́че равноду́шне, влади́ко мой і зна́ємий мой, | But thou, O man likeminded, my guide, and my acquaintance, |

| і́же ку́пно наслажда́лся єси́ со мно́ю бра́шен; в дому́ Бо́жиї ходи́хом єдиномишле́нієм. | who in companionship with me sweetened our food: we walked in the house of God in concord. |

|
| Да при́йдеть же смерть на ня, і да сни́дуть во ад жи́ві; я́ко лука́вство в жили́щих їх, посреді́ їх. | Let death come upon them, and let them go down alive into Hades, for iniquity is in their dwellings, in the midst of them. |
|

| Аз к Бо́гу воззва́х, і Госпо́дь усли́ша м'я. | I cried to God, and the Lord hearkened to me. |
|

|
| Ве́чер, і зау́тра, і полу́дне пові́м і возвіщу́, і усли́шить глас мой. | Evening, and morning, and at noon I will declare and make known my wants: and he shall hear my voice. |
|

|
| Ізба́вить ми́ром ду́шу мою́ от приближа́ющихся мні; я́ко во мно́зі бя́ху со мно́ю. | He shall deliver my soul in peace from them that draw nigh to me: for they were with me in many cases. |
|

|
| Усли́шить Бог, і смири́ть я Сий пре́жде вік; ність бо їм ізміне́нія, я́ко не убоя́шася Бо́га. | God shall hear, and bring them low, even he that has existed from eternity. Pause. For they suffer no reverse, and therefore they have not feared God. |

| Простре́ ру́ку свою́ на воздая́ніє; оскверни́ша заві́т Єго́. | He has reached forth his hand for retribution; they have profaned his covenant. |
|

|
| Разділи́шася от гні́ва лиця́ Єго́, і прибли́жишася сердця́ їх; ум'я́кнуша словеса́ їх па́че єле́я, і та суть стрі́ли. | They were scattered at the anger of his countenance, and his heart drew nigh them. His words were smoother than oil, yet are they darts. |

| Возве́рзи на Го́спода печа́ль твою́, і Той тя препита́єть; не дасть в вік молви́ пра́веднику. | Cast thy care upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. |
|

| Ти же, Бо́же, низведе́ши їх в студене́ць істлі́нія; му́жіє крове́й і льсти не преполов'я́ть дній свої́х. Аз же, Го́споди, упова́ю на Тя. | But thou, O God, shalt bring them down to the pit of destruction; bloody and crafty men shall not live out half their days; but I will hope in thee, O Lord. |
