Who shall tell the mighty acts of the Lord? who shall cause all his praises to be heard?

Прославляйте Господа, бо Він благий, бо повіки милість Його.

|
Blessed are they that keep judgment, and do righteousness at all times.
|
Хто висловить могутність Господа, звістить усі хвали Його?
|

|
|
Remember us, O Lord, with the favour thou hast to thy people: visit us with thy salvation;
|
Блаженні ті, хто чинить правосуддя і дотримується справедливости.
|
|

|
|
that we may behold the good of thine elect, that we may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that we may glory with thine inheritance.
|
Пом’яни нас, Господи, в любові до людей Твоїх, завітай до нас спасінням Твоїм,
|
|

|

|
|
We have sinned with our fathers, we have transgressed, we have done unrighteously.
|
щоб мені бачити блаженне життя обраних Твоїх, радіти радощами народу Твого, хвалитися з насліддям Твоїм.
|
|

|
|
Our fathers in Egypt understood not thy wonders, and remembered not the multitude of thy mercy; but provoked him as they went up by the Red Sea.
|
Нагрішили ми, як і батьки наші, жили не за правдою, творили беззаконня.
|
|

|

|
|
Yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might cause his mighty power to be known.
|
Батьки наші у Єгипті не зрозуміли чудес Твоїх, не пам’ятали про багатство милосердя Твого та прогнівили Тебе біля моря, Червоного моря.
|
|

|
|
And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up: so he led them through the deep as through the wilderness.
|
Але Ти, Господи, спас їх ради імені Твого, щоб показати могутність Твою.
|
|

|
|
And he saved them out of the hand of them that hated them, and redeemed them out of the hand of the enemy.
|
І наказав Господь Червоному морю, і розступилося воно, і перевів їх через безодню, наче через пустелю.
|
|

|
|
The water covered those that oppressed them: there was not one of them left.
|
І врятував їх від руки ненависника, і визволив їх від руки ворога.
|
|

|
Then they believed his words, and celebrated his praise.
|
Покрила вода гнобителів їх, жоден з них не залишився.
|
|

|
|
They made haste, they forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel.
|
І повірили вони словам Його [і] заспівали хвалу Йому.
|
|

|

|
|
And they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the dry land.
|
Та скоро забули діла Його, не покладали надії на волю Його.
|
|

|

|
|
And he gave them their request, and sent fulness into their souls.
|
Забажали м’яса в пустелі і випробовували силу Бога в країні безлюдній.
|
|

|

|
|
They provoked Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
|
Він виконав бажання їх, але послав рану на душі їхні.
|
|

|

|
|
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and closed upon the congregation of Abiron.
|
І заздрили у стані Мойсеєві та Ааронові, святому Господа.
|
|

|

|
|
And a fire was kindled in their congregation, and a flame burnt up the sinners.
|
Тоді розступилася земля і поглинула Дафана, покрила зборище Авирона.
|
|

|

|
|
And they made a calf in Choreb, and worshipped the graven image,
|
Упав вогонь на них, і полум’я попалило богопротивних.
|
|

|

|
|
and they changed their glory into the similitude of a calf that feeds on grass.
|
Зробили вони тельця біля Хорива і поклонилися ідолові.
|
|

|

|
|
They forgot God that saved them, who had wrought great deeds in Egypt;
|
Проміняли славу Бога на образ тельця, що їсть траву.
|
|

|

|
|
wondrous works in the land of Cham, and terrible things at the Red Sea.
|
Забули Бога, Спасителя свого, що звершив величне у Єгипті,
|
|

|

|
|
So he said that he would have destroyed them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn him away from the fierceness of his anger, so that he should not destroy them.
|
дивне — в землі Хамовій, страшне — на Червоному морі.
|
|

|

|
|
Moreover they set at nought the desirable land, and believed not his word.
|
І хотів Він винищити їх, коли б Мойсей, вибраний Його, не став перед Ним у благанні, щоб відвернути гнів Його; щоб не погубив [їх].
|
|

|

|
|
And they murmured in their tents: they hearkened not to the voice of the Lord.
|
І зневажили вони землю жадану, не стали вірити словам Його;
|
|
26
|

|
|
So he lifted up his hand against them, to cast them down in the wilderness;
|
Нарікали в наметах своїх і не слухали голосу Господнього.
|
|
27
|

|
|
and to cast down their seed among the nations, and to scatter them in the countries.
|
І підняв Він руку Свою на них, щоб знищити їх у пустелі,
|
|
28
|

|
|
They were joined also to Beelphegor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. And they provoked him with their devices;
|
розвіяти нащадків їх між народами, розсіяти їх по землі.
|
|
29
|

|
|
and destruction was multiplied among them.
|
Вони пристали до Ваалфегора і їли жертви мертвих,
|
|
30
|

|
|
Then Phinees stood up, and made atonement: and the plague ceased.
|
і прогнівляли Бога ділами своїми. За це хвороба стала нищити їх.
|
|

|

|
|
And it was counted to him for righteousness, to all generations for ever.
|
Тоді встав Финеєс і вчинив суд над винними, і пошесть припинилася.
|
|

|
|
They provoked him also at the water of Strife, and Moses was hurt for their sakes;
|
І це зараховано йому в праведність з роду й до роду повіки.
|
|

|

|
|
for they provoked his spirit, and he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.
|
І прогнівили вони Бога біля вод Меріви, і Мойсей потерпів за них,
|
|
34
|

|
|
They destroyed not the nations which the Lord told them to destroy;
|
бо так вони засмутили дух його, що він згрішив устами своїми.
|
|
35
|

|
|
but were mingled with the heathen, and learned their works.
|
Не знищили народів, про яких говорив їм Господь,
|
|
36
|
35
|
|
And they served their graven images; and it became an offence to them.
|
але змішалися з язичниками і навчилися звичаїв їх,
|
|
37
|
36
|
|
And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils,
|
стали служити ідолам їх, які стали для них спокусою,
|
|
38
|
37
|
|
and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Chanaan; and the land was defiled with blood,
|
приносили в жертву бісам синів своїх і дочок своїх;
|
|
39
|
38
|
|
and was polluted with their works; and they went a whoring with their own devices.
|
проливали кров безвинну, кров синів своїх та дочок своїх, приносячи їх в жертву ідолам ханаанським, — і осквернилася земля кров’ю;
|
|
40
|

|
|
So the Lord was very angry with his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.
|
осквернили себе ділами своїми, блуд творили в ділах своїх.
|
|
41
|
40
|
|
And he delivered them into the hands of their enemies; and they that hated them ruled over them.
|
Тоді запалав гнів Господа на народ Його, і противним стало Йому насліддя Його.
|
|
42
|

|
|
And their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought down under their hands.
|
і віддав їх у руки язичницьких народів, і вороги їх стали володіти ними.
|
|
43
|
42
|
|
Many a time he delivered them; but they provoked him by their counsel, and they were brought low by their iniquities.
|
Вороги гнобили їх, і вони корилися під рукою їхньою.
|
|
44
|

|
|
Yet the Lord looked upon their affliction, when he heard their petition.
|
Багато разів Він визволяв їх, вони ж гнівили [Його] впертістю своєю, тому були принижені за беззаконня своє.
|
|

|

|
|
And he remembered his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercy.
|
Але Він зглянувся на скорботу їх, коли почув стогін їх.
|
|

|

|
|
And he caused them to be pitied in the sight of all who carried them captive.
|
Згадав завіт Свій з ними і жаль огорнув Його з великого милосердя Його.
|
|

|

|
|
Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, that we may glory in thy praise.
|
І збуджував милосердя до них у всіх тих, що поневолили їх.
|
|
48
|
47
|
|
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting; and all the people shall say, Amen, Amen.
|
Спаси нас, Господи, Боже наш! Збери нас з-поміж народів, щоб славити святе ім’я Твоє та хвалитися славою Твоєю.
