| Прославляйте Господа, бо Він благий, бо повіки милість Його. | Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever. |

| Хто висловить могутність Господа, звістить усі хвали Його? | Who shall tell the mighty acts of the Lord? who shall cause all his praises to be heard? |
|

|

|
| Блаженні ті, хто чинить правосуддя і дотримується справедливости. | Blessed are they that keep judgment, and do righteousness at all times. |
|

|
| Пом’яни нас, Господи, в любові до людей Твоїх, завітай до нас спасінням Твоїм, | Remember us, O Lord, with the favour thou hast to thy people: visit us with thy salvation; |
|

|

|
| щоб мені бачити блаженне життя обраних Твоїх, радіти радощами народу Твого, хвалитися з насліддям Твоїм. | that we may behold the good of thine elect, that we may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that we may glory with thine inheritance. |
|

|
| Нагрішили ми, як і батьки наші, жили не за правдою, творили беззаконня. | We have sinned with our fathers, we have transgressed, we have done unrighteously. |
|

|
| Батьки наші у Єгипті не зрозуміли чудес Твоїх, не пам’ятали про багатство милосердя Твого та прогнівили Тебе біля моря, Червоного моря. | Our fathers in Egypt understood not thy wonders, and remembered not the multitude of thy mercy; but provoked him as they went up by the Red Sea. |

| Але Ти, Господи, спас їх ради імені Твого, щоб показати могутність Твою. | Yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might cause his mighty power to be known. |
|

|
| І наказав Господь Червоному морю, і розступилося воно, і перевів їх через безодню, наче через пустелю. | And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up: so he led them through the deep as through the wilderness. |
|

|

|
| І врятував їх від руки ненависника, і визволив їх від руки ворога. | And he saved them out of the hand of them that hated them, and redeemed them out of the hand of the enemy. |
|

|

|
| Покрила вода гнобителів їх, жоден з них не залишився. | The water covered those that oppressed them: there was not one of them left. |
|

|

|
| І повірили вони словам Його [і] заспівали хвалу Йому. | Then they believed his words, and celebrated his praise. |
|

|

|
| Та скоро забули діла Його, не покладали надії на волю Його. | They made haste, they forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel. |
|
14
|
14
|
| Забажали м’яса в пустелі і випробовували силу Бога в країні безлюдній. | And they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the dry land. |
|
15
|
15
|
| Він виконав бажання їх, але послав рану на душі їхні. | And he gave them their request, and sent fulness into their souls. |
|

|
16
|
| І заздрили у стані Мойсеєві та Ааронові, святому Господа. | They provoked Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord. |
|

|
| Тоді розступилася земля і поглинула Дафана, покрила зборище Авирона. | The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and closed upon the congregation of Abiron. |
|

|
18
|
| Упав вогонь на них, і полум’я попалило богопротивних. | And a fire was kindled in their congregation, and a flame burnt up the sinners. |
|

|
19
|
| Зробили вони тельця біля Хорива і поклонилися ідолові. | And they made a calf in Choreb, and worshipped the graven image, |
|

|
20
|
| Проміняли славу Бога на образ тельця, що їсть траву. | and they changed their glory into the similitude of a calf that feeds on grass. |
|

|
| Забули Бога, Спасителя свого, що звершив величне у Єгипті, | They forgot God that saved them, who had wrought great deeds in Egypt; |
|

|
22
|
| дивне — в землі Хамовій, страшне — на Червоному морі. | wondrous works in the land of Cham, and terrible things at the Red Sea. |
|

|
| І хотів Він винищити їх, коли б Мойсей, вибраний Його, не став перед Ним у благанні, щоб відвернути гнів Його; щоб не погубив [їх]. | So he said that he would have destroyed them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn him away from the fierceness of his anger, so that he should not destroy them. |

| І зневажили вони землю жадану, не стали вірити словам Його; | Moreover they set at nought the desirable land, and believed not his word. |
|
25
|
25
|
| Нарікали в наметах своїх і не слухали голосу Господнього. | And they murmured in their tents: they hearkened not to the voice of the Lord. |
|

|
26
|
| І підняв Він руку Свою на них, щоб знищити їх у пустелі, | So he lifted up his hand against them, to cast them down in the wilderness; |
|
27
|
27
|
| розвіяти нащадків їх між народами, розсіяти їх по землі. | and to cast down their seed among the nations, and to scatter them in the countries. |
|

|
28
|
| Вони пристали до Ваалфегора і їли жертви мертвих, | They were joined also to Beelphegor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. And they provoked him with their devices; |
|
29
|
29
|
| і прогнівляли Бога ділами своїми. За це хвороба стала нищити їх. | and destruction was multiplied among them. |
|
30
|
30
|
| Тоді встав Финеєс і вчинив суд над винними, і пошесть припинилася. | Then Phinees stood up, and made atonement: and the plague ceased. |
|

|
31
|
| І це зараховано йому в праведність з роду й до роду повіки. | And it was counted to him for righteousness, to all generations for ever. |
|

|

|
| І прогнівили вони Бога біля вод Меріви, і Мойсей потерпів за них, | They provoked him also at the water of Strife, and Moses was hurt for their sakes; |
|
33
|
33
|
| бо так вони засмутили дух його, що він згрішив устами своїми. | for they provoked his spirit, and he spoke unadvisedly with his lips. |

|
34
|
| Не знищили народів, про яких говорив їм Господь, | They destroyed not the nations which the Lord told them to destroy; |
|
35
|
35
|
| але змішалися з язичниками і навчилися звичаїв їх, | but were mingled with the heathen, and learned their works. |
|
36
|
36
|
| стали служити ідолам їх, які стали для них спокусою, | And they served their graven images; and it became an offence to them. |
|
37
|
37
|
| приносили в жертву бісам синів своїх і дочок своїх; | And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils, |
|
38
|
38
|
| проливали кров безвинну, кров синів своїх та дочок своїх, приносячи їх в жертву ідолам ханаанським, — і осквернилася земля кров’ю; | and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Chanaan; and the land was defiled with blood, |

| осквернили себе ділами своїми, блуд творили в ділах своїх. | and was polluted with their works; and they went a whoring with their own devices. |
|

|
40
|
| Тоді запалав гнів Господа на народ Його, і противним стало Йому насліддя Його. | So the Lord was very angry with his people, and he abhorred his inheritance. |
|
41
|
41
|
| і віддав їх у руки язичницьких народів, і вороги їх стали володіти ними. | And he delivered them into the hands of their enemies; and they that hated them ruled over them. |
|
42
|
42
|
| Вороги гнобили їх, і вони корилися під рукою їхньою. | And their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought down under their hands. |
|
43
|
43
|
| Багато разів Він визволяв їх, вони ж гнівили [Його] впертістю своєю, тому були принижені за беззаконня своє. | Many a time he delivered them; but they provoked him by their counsel, and they were brought low by their iniquities. |
|
44
|
44
|
| Але Він зглянувся на скорботу їх, коли почув стогін їх. | Yet the Lord looked upon their affliction, when he heard their petition. |
|
45
|
45
|
| Згадав завіт Свій з ними і жаль огорнув Його з великого милосердя Його. | And he remembered his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercy. |
|
46
|
46
|
| І збуджував милосердя до них у всіх тих, що поневолили їх. | And he caused them to be pitied in the sight of all who carried them captive. |
|
47
|
47
|
| Спаси нас, Господи, Боже наш! Збери нас з-поміж народів, щоб славити святе ім’я Твоє та хвалитися славою Твоєю. | Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, that we may glory in thy praise. |

|
| Благословен Господь, Бог Ізраїля, од віку до віку. І нехай скаже увесь народ: амінь! Алилуя! | Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting; and all the people shall say, Amen, Amen. |
